Usually not needed for a replacement dryer

At delivery, the installer confirmed this was not necessary and the existing vent kit would be better than this. So I returned it. Not a huge problem, but one more trip to the store than was necessary. If you're replacing a dryer and have a perfectly functioning vent, it's unlikely this will be required.
