Fourth appointment it was installed. Almost a month to get it done. No response from store in calling or when I went last time to ask why. Cameras are still not installed.
The installer got it done. Had issue with the software. He called Yale and they worked through the issues. It works now.

Electronic WiFi Lock

Recently a member of your service department came to my house to install an electronic lock, however they were not able to install it properly due to some missing code, eventually, they had to remove the lock and put the original lock back on. I now have to return the lock get credit for it and start the whole process over

David our installer is pleasant enough, but the whole process from start to finish was extremely aggravating, by local Best Buy people not caring, and international phone center people having their hands tied! How do you solve any problems? I trusted that by using the Geek squad to do the install, we would get good follow up and actual service. It has been so frustrating for the most part since we paid for 8 locks!!

When someone sets a 6 hour window I expect them to make it within that time frame. My tech was 30min past the 6hr window.
The job took over an hour to complete and his initial solution was to install the lock upside down this requiring me to do everything backwards.
Fortunately, the lock doesn’t function upside down so with perseverance and ingenuity on both our parts the lock was installed correctly and functioned as advertised.
That said, the tech was polite and was sincerely doing his best in my opinion but the tardiness could have been addressed.

The guy was friendly, and even helped how to integrate the lock with other smart system. I just noticed the lock installed is slightly misaligned, but not a big deal.

I started with third party installation but they did wrong wires. My smart lock wasn’t working for few weeks. When Geek squad came n install after that my smart lock working. Also changed batteries too.

This was done by a third party and not by Geek Squad. Third party installers did not configure the Yale device properly for me to connect when I am away from the house. Third party installers also did not explain how things work before they left. They were courteous but not professional in their work. I would have preferred Geek Squad to do this by their own staff and not a third party.

They personnel sent to install the TV Mount and mount and connect all my devices which included a 60 inch Sony TV, a TiVo, Panasonic Dual DVD and Video Tape deck and a Sony Blu Ray player and a Sony Sound bar and rear speakers did an outstanding job. I have since used Best Buy installers to install a remote Simplesafe automatic door lock and was equally impressed by their perseverance and patience in insuring that this device was installed correctly. I would not hesitate to use Best Buys services again. The price is very fair especially when compared to the comfort level you receive in knowing things should be done correctly right out of the gate.

August WI-FI smart lock install

The two techs came to install the August WI-FI smart lock. We walked through the installation together using the August app. I’m still having issues keeping the lock connected to WI-FI. It keeps defaulting to Bluetooth mode. Techs didn’t add much expertise. I was disappointed to hear it was their first time ever installing an August smart lock.
