I have been using the SmoothSkin Bare for 6 weeks and I have noticed a significant change in hair growth. I have fair skin and light brown hair. I decided to try this on 1 patch on my shin and some annoying facial hair. What I have noticed is that with each use the hair comes back in slower. I assume it will get better and better over time. The unit is very simple to use. Just plug it in and you will see the light and the fan will come on. Place it against your skin and press the button. The first few times I used it I felt a sensation of heat. It was a little uncomfortable, but not too bad. The whole process can be done in a few minutes 1 time per week. I believe this device will slow hair growth significantly and reduce the need for shaving.

This little machine goes a long way. At first it is a little intimidating to use. It shoots out like a little laser shot. I was scared to be honest. Once I tried it it was painless. Its a product that its used once a week on that area you are working on. Its design to work all over your body. Ive been using it for 6 weeks and i have seen great results. ( arms, armpits and legs)It definitely slows down the hair growth. I do definitely recommend this product.

As a man having dense hair on my arms I hoped this would have been the answer leading up to beach season. I used this for 6 weeks following the instructions provided by Smooth Skin. There is a fair amount of time committed to using the product. First, the area treated must be shaved, for me this was arms, shoulders and back. After shaving we fired up the laser. (I recommend having a friend / significant other help.) The smell of burnt hair fills the room, would also recommend cracking a window or using a bathroom fan. This is a really painless process, I didn’t feel the rubber band snap that Smooth Skin cautioned during first use / slightly longer hair. After 6 weeks / treatments I didn’t notice significant differences. The hair is not distinctly lighter in appearance. There are not patches that seem to have gotten hit harder than others. Each week the shaving takes as long as the lasering. It seems fruitless to keep trying. This may work better for someone with lighter / thinner hair. You can smell the hair burning, so it seems to be doing something. For a male with dense hair, I can’t recommend using this product.

Use this product weekly and you will see results. Best of all it doesn't hurt! There is some warmth and a snapping sound, but it doesn't hurt. After six weeks I'd say there is a 50% reduction. It works best on dark hair. Product states it should be used for 12 weeks. It's a bit tricky to get to the back of your legs because you are doing it yourself. Also would recommend wearing sunglasses.

Six weeks in, and maybe it's slowing down hair growth? It's been used mainly to maintain a bikini line and armpit hair, but weekly shaving is still required. I've maybe noticed that the growth isn't as much as it used to be after a week, but it's hard to tell. If this is all the benefit you get, I'm not sure it's worth the extra hassle of having to shave and use this product. I will say that treatment is simple and quick. The bright light is a little scary when you first use it, but you get over it quick and it's painless. Will keep using in case it takes longer to notice a more dramatic difference.

The Smooth Skin Bare has my approval. I have completed my 4th week of using this product (use once a week) and already have seen less hair coming back. My focus right now is my underarms, I have purchase laser treatments for my bikini area and was going to go back for touchups, but have used this instead. I am very impressed and would much rather have this tool at home than make appointments for future hair removal. The cost of this item is as much as 3 treatments for one area so this is worth it!

Product stopped working & company admitted that it’s a faulty device but they refused to replace it.
