Great product I used it one week ago and seen instant results! I only did half of my arm.

One of my favorite hobbies is bodybuilding and although I am not a professional; I’ve been doing it for quite some time now and one of things bodybuilders do before a show is they shave their entire body. Long story short, prior to the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System I had to continuously shave my body every 2 days or so because that is how my hair grows. So give or take in about 2-3 days I already end up with a good amount of stubble which in turn means I would need to shave; again. Let's just say it got pretty tedious and time consuming. Long behold came the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System. This thing of beauty is compact, powerful and super easy to use. I do recommend familiarizing yourself with how the device works before you use it though (for example one thing is to not use it on any tattooed skin). When I say it is easy to use I truly mean it is easy to use; simply plug it in and either pulse the button or hold the button and guide it wherever you need. The SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System has Smart Skin Sensing technology so it will automatically change the power output depending on your skin tone. If for whatever reason it is too painful or you would like to use a bit less power on certain areas you can toggle the device to “Gentle Mode” (personally though I never had to go into the “Gentle Mode”). Prior to the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System I did have another at home hair remove system device but it wasn’t as fine tuned as the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System. I love the fact that I can effectively and efficiently complete a session of my entire body in such little time. If you have someone that can help you for your sessions; you can literally get your entire body done in less than 30 minutes. Now when it comes down to the results I can tell you that it works. Just like bodybuilding; hair removal isn’t done in one session. I was able to thoroughly use the device for 6 weeks and can reassure you that most of my hair is already gone. There's going to be certain areas where it may take a few more sessions but overall I can say I can now shave a lot less (or at least there’s very little effort since I don’t have as much hair now). Thanks to the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System I no longer have to shave so often. Do keep in mind though that during these 6+ weeks where you are completing your once a week sessions; you will still need to shave. But I do believe when you hit the 12+ week mark the (Up to 97% hair reduction) claim will become a fact. I picked this up for my wife, because she's been vocally interested in laser hair removal for the past few years, and this seemed like a better option to try before some crazy-expensive procedure. Here's her thoughts.. First thing I did was to review the instructions and ensure my skin color and hair color were conducive to using the Smooth Skin Pure Mini. You need to use the device after shaving, like immediately after. There can't be any hair in the area you are using the laser. I first tried it on my legs and it worked well. You need to have the laser placed evenly on your skin, so sometimes if I wasn’t paying attention the laser wouldn’t work. I also had issues with my knees, but they have an attachment, a precision head, that you can use to make those areas easier to do. I unfortunately lost that piece, so I wasn’t able to try other areas like my toes. It says it takes 12 weeks to get full results. I’m on week 6 and I have noticed hair is still growing back. I have thicker hair on my legs, so I think it will take more time to see full results. I’m looking forward to continuing my hair removal journey. I would recommend this product.

The SmoothSkin hair removal is a nice little device that promises to remove a majority of unwanted hair in about 12 weeks. It states that by week five, you should notice fewer hairs in areas that were treated. It’s been about six weeks and I have not noticed any decrease in number of hairs in on my face nor thinning of hair. Those were my results. Now for the background. My skin is darker as I am half black and half Mexican. Inside the box there is an instruction booklet that has a color chart and let’s you know if the hair removal device will work on your skin tone. I was two shades away from being “disqualified”. I started treating a small area of my skin to see how my skin would react to the treatments. I used it on my toes. The recommended way to use the device is to shave the area that you will treat and then let it dry completely. The device has a fan that blows out the heat as the device gets hot internally. This fan does not shut off unless you unplug it. You hold the end of the device that has the window with the red light to the area of the skin you want to treat and press firmly against the skin. On the top portion of the device is a button you push to activate the device. Once activated you will see a flash and feel a hot stinging sensation that lasts a quick second. It’s a quick hot shock on the area that was treated. Depending on the area of skin you treat and your sensitivity level depends on whether you feel the sting. On my toes I felt nothing. On the sides of my face, mustache area, and neck I really felt it. My face was the area that I had the most problems trying to get the device to flash because of the darkness of my skin. But I was able to get it to treat my entire face. Like I said, after over five weeks I did not notice a difference. However, I had a lone hair on my neck below my collar line where my skin color is much lighter. I tried treating it and it worked. I only did two treatments and the lone hair is gone. So I think my skin color is preventing the hair removal. I would not recommend this for darker skinned people. I’m going to try treating my face twice a week rather than once a week to see if that helps. The only reaction I got to the treatments were itchiness on my face. I wish I had more time to review this product to give it a fair review. But as of right now, it has not performed as intended. It’s a 12 week treatment plan but I only 5 weeks to review. I do not know how it would’ve performed with the completion of the treatments.

The convenience of hair removal from your own home, your own schedule, and your own comfort level is quite nice. The SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System has been a nice addition to my home beauty routine. I can use this handy device to get clinically proven results within the comfort of my own home. In the long run I feel like this is saving me a lot of money by not going to a specialist to get these treatments done. I've used this for approximately 6 weeks now and it takes some getting used to as you learn how the device works. The IPL (Intense Pulse Light) in essence is penetrating the hair and interrupts the hair growth cycle. It's a powerful technology in your hand within your own home. It doesn't damage your skin, and helps to weaken the hair by zapping it with that light energy. Should take about 12 weeks for the full course of the process to take place, but I'm about 6 week in so far. It's recommended to use it 1 time per week. I shave my legs, underarms, and bikini area first with my electric razor. Then I will use my SmoothSkin Pure Mini across the legs, underarms, and bikini area. This device offers 3 intensity levels, along with 2 comfort settings for sensitive areas. I have been noticing less visual hair growth so far, and pleased with the results so far. Going to keep using it for the remaining 6 weeks, and then maintain any zones that need attention after that. It's an FDA cleared and safe product for skin. The Smart Skin Sensing technology helps to recognize the skin and output the right amount of light for that area. Impressive technology to have within my own home. I am hoping to save money on future shaving equipment, waxing, and professional treatments. This has been a great addition into my beauty routine, and I recommend this for my sisters, sister in law, and girlfriends. A device like this helps to maintain that smooth skin across the legs and just helps me feel more feminine. Hair removal on my terms without needing to step out to the salon. It's a win win.

To have an at home solution to remove hair is a luxury. It's just comforting to be able to do a spa level type of laser hair remover at home. The important question is, does it work as well as the pros do it? My response to that is, it varies. You have to take the necessary time to really dedicate 12 weeks of treatment. You'll notice some results as early as 4 weeks. After that you can touch up every 2 to 4 weeks, as recommended to keep your skin silky smooth. Read the user guide! There are some important instructions to read before you start using the device regarding skin tone and other safety precautions. Packaging is really nice and packed well. The device itself feels ok to hold, not optimal but easy to maneuver over your skin. It's glossy black so you can expect finger prints. The power cord is long enough and just be aware it comes with a big power brick. Your experience might vary but as long as you follow the instructions and stick to the program of 12 weeks, you can achieve silky smooth skin and eliminate your shaving routine.

The SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System is honestly a dream come true. I was just telling my preteen daughter that she needed laser hair removal. The next thing I know, there is an at-home device to use. I went back and forth on the mini versus the regular size model. I don't know the spec and weight differences, but from what I read the regular size has 3 zapping modes and the mini has 2 modes (regular/full strength OR gentle). The whole time I have used the full strength mode. The discomfort is minimal in most places, it feels like a warm snap on the skin. Both models have an attachment that reduces the size of the zapping window. I'm very pleased with the mini version. I have used this model for a full six weeks. The hair reduction is finally perceivable to the touch and to my eyes. My upper lip patches (2 small spots) are quite stubborn and giving me the least noticeable results, but I'm only half way through. However, for my daughter, her upper lip is responding fantastically. We were waxing it every 10 days!! This is a huge improvement. Soon it will be quick zaps few and far between for maintenance. My under arms are reducing in growth rate and number of hairs growing probably by 1/3 at this point. My leg hairs are doing the best of the 3 sites. Now, at the one week mark of no shaving, it feels like how my legs used to feel 2 days after shaving (length wise). Also, there are now some bald spots on my legs too. I'm very excited to see the 12 week results. It takes a little discipline to do it every week, the same day of the week. Patience does pay off and the results are worth the wait. I have some before and after pictures of my progress to this point. If I can, I'll try to review it at the 12 week mark as well. This is a great investment especially since you can use it for more than one family member. It's saving me a ton of money on medspa treatments for laser hair removal. It's also saving me the hassle of weekly appointments to rush off to. Over 15 years ago I had my bikini line, full face, and underarms treated for 3K. As you can see, over time it does grow back and some maintenance sessions are required. The at home option in perpetuity pays for itself many times over!!

Moved to US in April 2023. Was hard to go to laser hair removal procedures at specialists due to high price per visit. Purchased this product and it’s started paying off the value as the hair growth is significantly lower and slower. Easy to use on bikini area as well. The pain rate varies depending the thickness of hair also body parts. Don’t feel pain on ligaments, armpits at all.

My wife used the products for the last 3 months and I waited to give this product a true review. It works excellent and very easy to use. You could see the changes in a month.

This works just as claimed. If you use it weekly to start off with. I don’t use it as frequently as I should and I have still completely eliminated some hair growth.

Home IPL devices for hair removal can really be hit or miss. Sometimes they work great, but suffer from slow speed or the bulbs don't last very long. Other models just don't work very well at all. With the Smoothskin Mini those problems don't see to be an issue at all and the results are great. The device itself is incredibly compact, making it very easy to manuveur and get it angled exactly how you need it to get both large and small areas of skin. It's comfortable to hold and overall the design supports an easy use. The Mini has several really amazing features that help make the entire process effortless. The first being the skin contact sensor that measures your skin tone before each light pulse, which makes sure you are using the strongest but safest light pulse for each pulse. It also sports several intensity and comfort settings to make sure that you have all the control and aren't in pain while using the device. All of this with a very quick firing light makes using the Mini effortless and incredibly quick compared to previous IPL devices I've used. The results are really great. After about 6 weeks I've seen really noticable results and because it's so easy to use is one reason I think the results will last. I don't dread using it and don't have to commit an hour to a treatment so continual use will be no problem. As far as home IPL devices go, this one is easy to use and all the features give great results that seem to be lasting.

I got the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System for my wife to use as a replacement for another brand IPL device that I bought for her several years ago. She eventually quit using the first one because she was dissatisfied with the results after using it for about six months or more. My wife had high hopes for the SmoothSkin Pure Mini and it did not disappoint! She began to see a reduction in her leg hair growth after 4 to 6 once a week treatments. She has received much better results than with her previous system. Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) hair removal is a little like Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (LASER) hair removal, but they're not the same thing. The biggest difference is cost. IPL hair removal systems are significantly more affordable than the laser systems. My wife has never had laser treatments and this is not a laser hair removal system. Here are some of my wife's observations: Because IPL is absorbed by the pigment melanin in the hair shaft, that's what kills the hair follicle, it is more suitable for for those with light skin and naturally black or brown hair. The manual states this as well as stating that IPL treatment may not be as effective on white, gray, blonde, or red hair and on those with darker skin. So you need to keep skin and hair type in mind when purchasing an IPL device. My wife has followed and will continue to follow the manual's recommendation to use the device once a week until desired hair reduction has been achieved. She really likes the results she's had so far at the six week point. She especially likes the automatic skin tone sensor that adjusts the intensity of the treatment flash to your skin tone which will vary throughout your body. This prevents under and over treatment as you move around the body. She really likes the fact that she didn't have to guess at a power setting like she had to do on her previous IPL system where she was always worried that she was either under treating or over treating. The SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL device offers three modes of use: Glide mode for doing larger areas such as legs, Gentle mode operates at slightly less power if you find that the treatment is too warm for you, and the Stamp mode is suitable for underarms and the bikini area. She especially likes the convenience of the Glide mode for use on her legs. Glide mode administers a periodic treatment flash as you slowly glide the device along your skin at a speed that matches the rate of flashes such that each new flash is over a patch of untreated skin. You simply hold the button down and slowly slide the device on the skin and the flashes happen automatically. At first, my wife was dismayed to see that the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System did not come with IPL safety glasses. She thought that was a must when using IPL devices because her previous system required them. But as she was reading the manual she discovered that because of the Skin Contact Sensor the device will not flash if it is not in proper contact with the skin. When it is properly contacting the skin, very little light escapes the device at the contact point and so you don't need safety glasses. That was a big plus for her because it's hard to see where you're placing the device on your skin if you're wearing dark safety glasses! My wife has one recommendation and that is the Umbilical Cable between the AC/DC adapter (power supply) and the IPL device, needs to be a little longer for when doing your legs. She frequently found herself pulling the power supply up off the floor with the IPL device because the umbilical cable was not long enough. That's the only recommendation that she has. My wife is the family expert on IPL hair removal systems and she says that we can highly recommend the SmoothSkin Pure Mini IPL Hair Removal System. She is looking forward to finishing out her treatments with it over the next few months. So there you go, you can buy it with confidence.
