SNK HEROINES, Tag Team Frenzy, on Nintendo Switch is one of the best fighting games I have ever played in a while. The last game being Smash Bros. on the Wii U. The game is a 2D fighter which has an interesting combat mechanic where you must finish your opponent with a special attack, this keeps the game unique compared to the other fighting game. This will ensure every battle will end with a flashy ending. The single player experience is the best way to learn and perfect any combos in the game. It tells a story which is straight to the point, knowing that it is a fighting game, it is there just for a reason to exist. It does not dwell to much on the story because it is a fighting game, sorry Smash Bros. fans, I don't think MatPat is going to do a review on this one's lore. However, despite the lack luster story it does show the small personality of each character. The fighting in the game has some depth, but it does not overwhelm new players. You are allowed to pick two characters and then duke it out with another player or CPU. The simple controls makes it a great fighting game to introduce to new players. I was a semi-pro fighting gamer before, playing Smash Bros. Brawl in my youth. So I do know a thing or two about fighting games. I showed my friends this game and the simple fighting concept lets all of us have fun because everyone understood the basic concepts easily. Now, this does not make it a bad game because it is simple, it is just more accessible to more people. The graphics is also another point I want to highlight, because they have interesting features to grab a player attention. Now, some people might just buy the game for the graphics alone, but I have bought it for the graphics and the combat. The visual is bright and colorful, it telegraphs the attack and moves flawlessly. The outrageous costumes are just to attract players, but to give it charm in the fighting game community. I can't wait to see this game rise up to EVO levels one day.

As a Switch owner and a fan of SNK fighters (though personally not the best at them) I decided I would give this game a try. It is a little different to have an all female cast of characters, but they span the ranks of SNK fighters and play well. There will be some future DLC characters for the game presumably as paid DLC which is nice. The biggest draw of the game seems to be toward dressing your characters in as much or little clothing as you would like as the main reward is currency to unlock new clothing. As far as play control the game plays well but more like current fighters such as King of Fighters XIV. This isn't a bad thing in my opinion as I fall more in the casual group, but hard core fighting fans may not enjoy the slowed down game play. All around it's a pretty solid game but I can only really recommend it to fans of the series as there are so many other great fighters on the Switch.

This game has fun characters to play as and there's a bunch of stuff to unlock. The fighting controls are nice and it's definitely a unique fighter. There's dlc characters coming out later to add to it also.

SNK Heroines is easier to play for new comers then most other SNK fighters. Some people may see this as a bad thing, others may see this as a good thing. I'm an experienced fighting game fan but still really had a blast with this one. It has good graphics, a good art style, great gameplay, and a solid roster. I highly recommend it to both experienced fighting game fans and new comers to the genre.

certain characters are locked behind DLC... just seems kind of mean to me lol. Each additional character will cost you 6 dollars. the online is DEAD . this game isn't even 6 months old. very sad... cool characters, gameplay feels good... nothing amazing would have liked to have seen more characters & stages. still a good game... but will get boring without online.

Yeah its full of good old fashion cheese cake and silly humor from the days when games used to just be about fun. Its actually got a competent fighting game under the hood as a 2 button fighter but its mixed with some of the best elements of Party fighter games like smash bros with how you have to finish off your opponent with a super move instead of just getting rid of all their life. The game has a lot more strategy they you think for a Simple 2 button based fighter.

This is not a conventional fighting game. There is fighting and it that is the genre, but it is a lot like Dead or Alive abandoned their focus on top-end graphics and strictly pursued the costume aspect. There is a decent selection of playable characters with a small selection of combos that make up the actual fights. There is very little focus on difficulty. Instead, the focus appears to be on what would be human trafficking in any other context. Mind you, I am usually the last person to complain about under dressed women slapping each other around, but at least give me a feeling that there is some underlying purpose to being a pervert.

Loving the art style and graphics, me and my girl have been thoroughly enjoying this one. Glad I didn’t listen to the naysayers, this one is fun ^_^

I wasn't expecting much, but it's actually a pretty fun game. Graphics are good and controls are responsive. Nice fan service too, of course.

fun simple fighting game, but has more value for those that like the SNK female characters. I like it because you dont need to memorize a million move sets just to have a good time with it. I also really like the art animation style.

Interesting way to put just girls in a battle, all the characters has that you expect from SNK games, nice customs and great battle.

I just pick this game because of the price and the front cover catch my eyes. This game is very challenging even on practice mode picking the players you want to fight with is limited . But, overall this game is fun too and enjoy this game.

This game is basically a fan service love letter to every SNK fighting game fan. It's got simple mechanics, and it is a nice, fun game to play with friends. Recommended if you like fighting games and moreso if you're a SNK fan.

Snk Heroines is a simple fighter, with easy combos, special moves, and super to pull off. There's a decent selection of fighters to choose from and has customizable options for headwear. There's very few stages to choose from however. The story isn't anything serious or interesting, but rather a comedic story which is good for this type of game. I would say to pass on this game if you like more complex fighting games, but if you want a more casual experience then this game will be for you.
