You dont get a discount for exchanging

I asked and she just said you just give us the old one and we charge you full price. I would rather throw it away at that point. Thats pretty standard with anything you exchange. Even when I bought the system i was lead to believe when you do an exchange, you get a discounted price. Maybe i misunderstood
