I love this portable WiFi device. It is perfect for travel or even when I am working in my backyard - my new work from home office. It is easy to set up using the Solis App. I use the pay-per-day option for data so that I am only paying when I need to use it. It saves me money when I travel internationally too. I no longer need to purchase my cell service's international travel plan. The Solis connect up to 10 devices so in addition to my laptop I use it with my phone and then use WiFi calling. It is so light and portable I just stick in my bag or back pocket.

This little device allows me to stay connected while we travel. I am updating from their old version because we love it so much! We have used this device in multiple foreign countries (no, it doesn't work on cruises though). The simplicity of having an extra boost in your pocket is unmatched by any other device I have tried!

Owned one for a few years that I had to share so I bought my own. Has worked well in London every trip. Had a couple of iPhones, iPad, and computer using it simultaneously and heavily at times. Had it in our pockets and took it everywhere we went around the city. Battery lasted all day and signal was strong pretty much everywhere we went. Can’t remember how it did in the tube though. iMessage will sometimes not receive pictures or graphics but I think that’s more of an app issue b/c WhatsApp received it perfectly fine. Also use it frequently when traveling for various reasons around the US. Works well. Price for use depends on gigabyte usage. So far the most versatile hotspot product I’ve owned with the best option for gigabyte plans I wanted. Looked at other hotspot equipment and plans but none of them were really what I thought would work for my needs. Don’t want to have to buy another one for international travel if I can have one that works well enough for both domestic and international locations. Virtual SIM. Customer service not the best and app isn’t great but no complaints for the product itself. Also more than I wanted to spend on an older product but still works as I need it to.

I bought this for a temporary internet connection. I live in the Los Angeles, County and always got a strong signal. Not good for gaming, streaming, watching Netflix or youtube you should probably just install regular internet at home. This will cost way more to run.. for example $6 per GB Works great for checking email and internet sleuthing. The battery power depends on usage but for now I can probably get 10-12 hours of battery power. Customer service has been helpful. I reached out through the online chat messenger and got help within minutes. There was some trouble shooting and resetting that came up but they walk you through it . .

I'll preface this with, the first test run I had of this product was in Guatemala. So not the most developed country in the world, and I was in some pretty remote areas where this device couldn't get a signal, so I'm not sure if I would fault the device terribly for that. The locals with cell phones did have a network signal though, so it was odd that people could get a cell phone signal but this little device couldn't. But regardless, when this device did have a signal, it was very dependable and very fast, and I liked having my own, private, secure WiFi to use. Between me and my husband's 2 iPhones, we used about 2 GB of data over the course of 10 days internationally. The battery on the device easily lasted all day long too, and the app makes it very easy to track and see data usage and battery life. I'm sure this hotspot also works like a dream in more developed countries as well.

their website (set up) is cumbersome. Since this operates on cell service, if your cell service isn't great, connectivity isn't either. If you sign an auto renew and want to upgrade your plan, you have to cancel (and lose data) in order to be able to upgrade. This can also only be done when you are in range of the unit. I expect it will be useful when I travel since I don't connect to public wifi. even with the negatives, I would still recommend it as a decent alternative to public wifi or no wifi at all

    Great Wi-Fi Hotspot

The Solis Lite is a great wi-fi hotspot depending on your needs. Set up: Solis makes the process really easy you download the app and fallow the instructions. Everything is laid out in easy to read text and all of the options are available at your finger tips. App: The application is easy for anyone to use and you can do just about anything from it (change plans, cancel plan, chat to customer service) and all of these things occur instantly. The only thing I wish they would add is that you can control the hotspot while not connected to it (yes this is a unique situation however I was using it for my gate where my wifi was not reaching) Connectivity: Solis allows you to connect to multiple different networks (depending on where your at in the world) and automatically switches to the one with the strongest signal. This makes it a better option than going to a carrier as your not limited to one network. The wifi signal is ok but not the best. The Solis also only works on 2.4 or 5 ghz at once which was a bit disappointing. Overall the Solis was just what I needed for my gate situation and the price point is perfect when comparing it to wifi hotspots from any of the 4 big carriers. It does have some downfalls as the signal strength and not being able to remote into the device or having to be there to manually update it but the level of customer service makes up for all of this.

I just opened a business, and it will require an internet connection. The office suite I leased is like a cave - no windows and an inner room. I purchased a 10 Gig that will expire in 99 years. It performed amazingly, even with multiple applications on the laptop. It’s a great buy.

This is an excellent product and must have while traveling internationally and locally or camping . I traveled to Europe with my Solis, I was able to use my Solis with very powerful signal to make calls and search the internet. It was easy to install and compatible with any electronic devices with Wi-Fi capability. In summary, Solis is a must, if you are an international traveler

Bought this to replace a Verizon Jetpack that was costing me 50 dollars a month even when I didn’t use it. This unit cost less and since the data plan I picked never expires I am saving a lot of money each month. Since it always scans and connects to the strongest cell system in the area I gives the best speeds possible every time

I bought the SkyRoam to make sure I could stay connected on the go through travels. It’s a great little device that does exactly what I need it to do - easy to use, fast, reliable! When I had a question, customer service was very responsive and resolved the issue quickly - thanks Jeff!

Concept is great. Software easy to navigate. Price attractive, especially considering the lifetime data allowance for those with minimal needs. Mechanically and electrically however, unacceptable; had to return the original unit and a replacement. The device wouldn't take a charge, even after hours were spent with Solis support on live chat, trying different chargers and cables. Through it all, BestBuy was supportive, couldn't have asked for more from them.

This is such a great idea and device. It's only at 4G, sadly. However, as always the midwest has issues with towers connections strength being weaker than heck. How it works is it will connect to the strongest provider and you can use their connections. It's either TMobile, AT&T, One Cellular like towers. I bet it is way better overseas like Europe or Asia since networking out there is top notch. Plans are great deal and affordable. I was using unlimited per day pass so it doesn't throttle like the 20G per month. Anyway until it has 5G+ and towers are update maybe be useful in the USA deadzones. I recommend only if you travel a lot and need to do most the work you could on the go.

This is a must have for anyone in need of a hotspot. The Solis is small enough to put in a pocket or backpack. Not only does it act as a hotspot but can also be used as a power bank. The Solis is easy to set up. There are several options to choose for the amount of gigs you want. It all depends on how you want or need to connect. The best part is the fact that there is no contract.
