Coming off the high that was Sonic Mania this game had a lot to live up to and unfortunately it falls terribly short. I would never describe the game as bad but I wouldn't say it was great either. Its simply Okay. Its one of the better 3D Sonic titles but the 2D stages are lacking. The levels are far too short and Classic Sonic is seemingly thrown in for no reason what so ever. I'd recommend Sonic Mania to relapsed 2D Sonic fans, but can't recommend this to relapsed 3D Sonic fans. This one is for die hards only.

You get to be either the new Sonic all over the place, the OLD Sonic left-to-right platformer with a beautiful background and heavy solid graphics, AND a created avatar/character with your own custom look and a cool weapon. Don't need much more than that. Great game. VERY FAST visuals.

I purchased this game during the Black Friday sale, and I have been having a great time playing it. The game also has nice graphics, and Sonic reminds me of my childhood.

This game is very fun. Paid 25 buck on Black Friday. I recommend waiting for a price drop, only because this game is fun but repetitive. But it’s a much for sonic fans

Sonic Forces is unfortunately a Sonic game. The hype and buzz looked great, especially with the character creation mode. It's still great that you can do that but this game also has the unfortunate release timing as Sonic Mania. While not released on the same date these games came out too close together and Sonic Mania is a much superior Sonic Game to this. Your kids will enjoy Sonic Forces either way if they already enjoy the Sonic franchise. Watch some YouTube videos and make your judgement.

This game is fun for mostly kids not for adults who played and live from first gamer to today. There no golden sonic as well and this game very short.

It's a fun game, different than what you would expect from a Sonic franchise game. Its better to see videos to find out if you will like it. I did.

This is a pretty good game with a bit of a dark story. My only problem is that level are pretty short.

Even if there are some games that don't meet expectations Sonic games are usually pretty fun and this is another fun entry into the collection.

The game seems good from what little I've gotten to see, but it was a PITA getting the JoyCon skins to lay just so. Since my 12 year old has been remarkably quiet though, "it's all good".

If you have played a sonic game, you know what to expect. I do think they could have pushed the envelope some, but fun game for Sonic fans.

I’ve seen lots of negative reviews for this game. I honest think it’s a great and fun game to have on the go. I’ve been a huge sonic fan since the sega days. I recommend getting this game for any sonic fan or anyone looking into sonic games

The game actually has alot of the sonic comics story elements and I really enjoy that about it. Gameplay is very simplistic but it is very fun. You get to make your own animal character. A pleasant surprise. Runs flawlessly on the switch.

This game is actually fun if you’re a fan of the 3D sonic games. Not the worst in the series by far, I was pleasantly surprised.

This game is a fun time when playing with my kids but for old school Sonic fans you may want to check out Sonic Mania instead.

We love it! Shadow is one of my favorite characters, so I'm happy to see the Shadow side story. I do wish there was a central hub to roam around like there was in Sonic Adventure 2, but maybe some day they'll add that in!

This Sonic isn't quite as good as Sonic Mania , but I can appreciate what they were trying to do. Just came up a bit short

This game looks and plays great on the switch. The ability to make your own character is very cool. It can get tricky at times, but with no game over to worry about you can just keep trying. A must have if you like Sonic!

Got this from my wife for a gift she loves it spends a lot of time on it at least it keeps her away from her Candy Crush
