This is hands down the best Sonic Team release in a very long time Sonic Mania was a homage to early 8bit and 16bit Sonic (while it was a nice fan projected it lacked something) Sonic Forces is a homage to what made Sega such a wonderful unique Publisher/Developer during the 16bit era and the later Sega Dreamcast short lived life span Graphics (It's very much a follow up to Sonic Generations) The game walks a very thin line between 2D and 3D platforming It looks really good the XboxOne X enhanced are awesome The more you play this game the more you'll see what made the Dreamcast so beloved still after all these years It runs close to perfect this is Sega coming out of nowhere screaming "Don't forget about us we ain't dead yet!" If Sega didn't bow out of the Hardware industry this game would've been on there Dreamcast III console Audio: is solid all around some of the licenses music might sound a bit dated to some (If you were lucky enough to own a Dreamcast in '99 and play it for that magical 2 years while it was a hot console) You'll get the music used it complements the game and adds this sort of nostalgia to this title The DTS 5.1 is really nice with audio coming from all around you! Controls: are not perfect once in a while you'll hit a object wrong and lose a big chunk of your rings (This happens mostly with the two Sonic's since one Sonic is classic 16bit sonic he has different abilities while the Sonic Adventure version has more 3D abilities Story is so/so (The story is the weakest thing about this game) It's very bloated If there was a Sonic Character in a past game he or she will more then likely have some type of cameo in this game The fun factor: in my humble opinion this is one of the most enjoyable games of the year It's this interesting love letter to the fans that grew up during Sega's golden era while trying to gain a much younger demo While it's not perfect it's simply fun and will take any child of the 80's back to the first time they started there Sega Genesis and heard the now iconic SEGA logo yell Sega and discover the alternative to the Big N Worth introducing to kids and adults a like this is what Sega can bring to the table! Also all the DLC is free for this game (something very few publisher offer in 2017/2018) 9.2/10

If you are like me and wish today’s gaming options included updated versions of games that we grew up on in the 90s, you know how hard it is to find anything even remotely resembling games like Sonic. Well they finally made a contender. It brings Sonic into the 21st century, albeit with some corny storylines. Whatever the motive, I am just glad game developers spent some time revisiting Sonic for both Xbox One S and PlayStation.

Its nice to see Sonic back, while not as revolutionary as Mario, its an OK game. Better than any other version that has come out in recent memory. It still not as great as it can be, definetly not as great as Sonic Adventure that came out for the Dreamcast.

This game isn't as good as Sonic Mania, but it is better that Sonic 2k6. I would recommend this game for people for a guilty pleasure. That is basically it.

Sonic still got it! Sure there’s been a few dull games and perhaps this isn’t as good as Sonic Mania, but this is a great 2D/3D hybrid that looks and plays great, especially on the Xbox One X. Highly recommend!

This game is the best of Sonic Colors and Sonic Generations. The story is pointless and for the most part doesn't make sense. But if you like Sonic games you will love this one. I will admit it is not a perfect game or even a great game, but no Sonic is. This is one of the best though if you can just let go and have fun.

Graphics are good. I liked being able to create my own character but would like it to participate in conversations like the others.

I was pretty stoked about this game, given that the Generations formula was being brought back to another 3D Sonic game. I loved Generations, but this just feels like a lazy expansion to it. In fact, the game controls even worse than Generations somehow and the story is nonsensical. Classic Sonic is completely useless in the game and is only brought back for nostalgia's sake despite controlling much worse. Modern Sonic is okay but the level design is awful; so many cheap deaths akin to Unleashed and they're too quick. Just hold the Boost button and you don't really have to do anything. The Avatar levels are just boring, but they're a little more involved than Classic or Modern Sonic's levels. The saving grace of this game is the soundtrack, which is pretty good. Otherwise, don't pick this one up. GET SONIC MANIA INSTEAD!!!
