This is a 2D style sonic game in the spirit of the best originals. Sonic mania is everything you wanted from the next sonic but 20 years a little late. This is everything original sonic fans wanted and more. A mix of classic style levels and new entertaining settings and boss fights. Fans were over satisfied.

Finally this game gets the physical release it deserves. It brings the original game along with some dlc features all included. For the price, you are getting the physical game with all the content along with a decent art book with some cool never before seen art. Great package and hope for more Sonic Mania coming soon!

This is a great game for on the go. Soak into the nostalgia of old Sonic games. The new characters could have been more fun but they are not too bad.

Bought the Collector Edition for PS4 Back when it came out but didn’t have a physical game just a code, had to get the physical game but wanted it on the go so got the Switch version. Couldn’t be happier as 16 but graphics don’t have to be in 4k. Game is wonderful on the switch and best part is....it’s now portable.

This game is a perfect re-imagining of classic Sonic games. The graphics are amazing, the gameplay is smooth, and the levels are well designed.

Game is extremely fun but it's also very easy. Brings nostalgic memories playing the game play encore mode so you can use the extra characters

I loved Sonic The Hedgehog games as a kid but, as many fans will attest, the series did lose its way over the years. But Sonic Mania makes up for all those missteps with what is really the quintessential Sonic experience. If you love speedy platforming and a pretty solid challenge, you'll need this.

It has the genesis type sonic play plus some new game play as well. It is sort of challenging to try and move on to the next levels.

Sonic has had some less than stellar entries over the years. (Looking at you, Sonic '06.) However, this game is a return to form, mostly because it's a return to 2D gameplay, which is where Sonic has always excelled. If you liked Sonic 1, 2, or 3 + Knuckles, then this game is for you.

This game is worth every penny, from the premium packaging (shiny slip cover, art book and reversible game case cover) to the remastered levels and additional characters. Have been enjoying this one more than I thought I would. Bought it for the nostalgia, loving it for the gameplay.

My kids love this game. Super fun for all ages. Just like the old games, this will bring you and your family hours of fun.

I have played all the sonic games that have been out since video gaming started and this is a great compilation of Sonic Games. Brings back great memories of life growing up as a youngster and now an Oldster {63}. I love Video Gaming and Sonic has been a great part of my collection.

An amazing recreation of the 2D Sonic series. This game is pure adrenaline speed fun. While most of the courses are inspired by the source material, there is enough new tricks here to keep the game interesting and one step ahead of the more recent 3D sonic games. A MUST BUY.

I had this game on my Sega Genesis when I was a kid, and cannot even begin to count the hours I spent on this when I was little... for this to be remade for the switch as an adult is just so amazing to me I wanted to cry, so of course I bought it, and of course IT IS AMAZING.

I purchased this title for my grandson. He is playing it as I write this review. The music takes me back to when his uncle (my son) played a similar game when he was a youngster. Ahhh... memories. My grandson loves this game as well as his uncle used to "back in the day".

I thought I was getting a few old sonic titles, with a new version as well! Multi player didn’t come unlocked and I had to google how to do it! Bought for my kids! Specifically for multiplayer, and there is no separation in the screens it’s too fast a game for that anyway on a small split screen! New characters are pretty cool, and the parts of the game that are kinda original are neat!

Even though I bought Sonic Mania a year ago, I picked this up on release day. The added characters and competitive stages are a great compliment to an already great tribute to the ‘90s version of the Sonic Games. If you grew up with Sonic, this is an absolute get!

A classic restored and brought back from the dead. A new sonic adventure that could very well be the best game in the series. If you love sonic games, you need to have this game in your collection. The packaging is also an awesome throw back to old school gaming.

I remember collecting the knuckles chaotix comics on Archie. So it's kind of random how they're in this game but none the less I do enjoy it. I wasn't interrupted by any glitches or any game stopping bugs during my playthrough. Bottom line I recommended it.

It is great to be able to play a classic style Sonic game in vibrant HD and color. Soundtrack and Gameplay is fantastic. Feels like you are playing Sonic just like it was meant to be played when it first released in the 1990s. Highly Recommend!
