Sonos Amplifier Over heats
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The amplifier sounds good when it plays. The same day of install, after a couple of hours, two of three rooms stopped playing. Hot to the touch. Immediately contacted Best Buy. (night of install). Took them 2 weeks to send someone out; same team that installed. They said there was nothing wrong. Asked if I played it for 4 hours or so. Really? Why does this matter. It happened after 20 minutes once and after a couple of hours most commonly. They literally did nothing. Said it was working but if they wanted me to stay all day and wait for a problem, they would, very condescending. I explained the amplifiers got so hot to the touch, you couldn't place your hand on them. They said, they aren't hot now. They left, and that night, same thing, two of three rooms stopped playing. I had a party and had to use my $50 Alexa because it worked, instead of a 8K Sonos system. When we called back again that night, they rescheduled another service call, again two weeks out. System hasn't worked properly since day one. I am giving the product two stars because it really sounds great when it works. I give the geek squad a zero.

A great product
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great product, for TV and music listeners since it does both jobs equally well. I use the AMP in my kitchen to power a pair of $1,200 Triad Bronze stereo bookshelf speaker. And it can get loud when I want. The AMP is connected to our Kitchen, 2020 Sansung TV, via the tv's ARC input. We use it every week night for TV viewing i.e. Netflix, etc. Then on weekends, when we entertain friends, we use the AMP for Spotify music play back via the SONOS S2 (Gold) iPhone controller app. Many people complain that at $700 each, it's to expensive but I believe it's well worth the money because at 125 watts per channel (at 8ohms, stereo) it easily drives large 2 and 3-way, speakers with 6" to 8" drivers. The original 1st generation SONOS amplifier was a pathetically under powered toy, that was unworthy of serious consideration. This redesigned 2nd generation AMP product is a VAST improvement in terms of ARC tv input connectivity and output power (125 watts at 8 ohms per channel). The only draw back with the SONOS AMP is that it is NOT stable under a low ohm output load i.e. be VERY careful about connecting multiple pairs of 8 ohm stereo speakers to a single AMP device. You may get away with it initially, at low volumes. But if you crank the volume and attempt a multi hour, high volume party, the AMP will likely to heat up, go into thermal protection mode and shut off ...assuming the output circuits don't short out and become permanently damaged.

Premium amp
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.More power than the previous generation amps. Sonos is expensive, but the quality and sound are excellent. The more Sonos devices you have the more your start to see the value

Great Amp For Stereo Sound
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Works great I’m powering up two SVS Ultra Bookshelf speakers. It has plenty of power and provides clean sound paired with a SVS SB2000 sub. Theirs no need for a huge receiver for stereo sound.

Worked exactly as we had hoped!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We already had some ceiling mounted speakers we wanted to add into an existing Sonos system. We made sure the speakers we had fell within the recommended parameters and plugged them in and were up and running within a few minutes after a quick software update on the Amps (we added 3). Everything is working great!

Fantastic!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great amp, good power and works flawlessly with my Sonos system. I have two patios, one with outdoor rock speakers and another with ceiling speakers, and have a selector between the amp and the speakers sound great. Do I wish there was lore power, sure, but this is a great amp with good power for a Sonos set up. My only complaint if I had one is the price.
