Customers value the Beam (Gen 2) 5.0 Channel Smart Soundbar with Dolby Atmos for its unmatched sound quality, ease of use, and simple setup. The soundbar's compact size, impressive bass, and Dolby Atmos capabilities are also appreciated. However, some customers have reported occasional connectivity issues, and a few find the soundbar to be somewhat expensive and would prefer it to include a physical remote.

Using soundbar for PC Gaming setup:

I am using the the soundbar in a Gaming PC setup paired with an LG C3 42" TV. I find that products geared for home theater usage generally perform better than computer designated counterparts. Since the LG C3 is technically a TV I set the soundbar up as I would in a home theater using E-arc. The Sonos Beam has decent sound and destroys computer designated soundbars in both features and sound quality. The compact size of the beam allows it to neatly fit under my computer tv/monitor stand on my desk. I would highly recommend the Beam if you are looking for something to enhance your gaming experience and have the tv/monitor to accommodate it.

I already had the Sonos Arc, mini-sub, and Ones in my living room for almost a year before I decided to buy a new tv for my master bedroom. I went with an LG OLED 65" and soon after, I realized our old Yamaha needed to be replaced. Decided to go with the Beam 2 and though it's certainly not as powerful as the Arc, it more than does the job in any sized bedroom. Watched a few episodes of Chicago Fire and PD, and voices were crisp. I had set the Beam to night mode, so it quieted the bass from my neighbor upstairs. The Beam has decent bass for rumbles and music, but if you're looking for more, you can easily add a subwoofer. What I love about Sonos, is that you can listen to music in multiple rooms. On my WFH days, I often play music in my kitchen/living room and go back and forth to where my home office is set up in the bedroom. I plan to add some Era 100s too, so when i'm not in the mood to sit in a home theater in my living room, I can get that same effect from the bedroom.

Got the Beam just a few days ago and it is awesome! It’s a lot smaller compared to the arc but is prefect for my 65” TV in a average sized room in the basement. The bass coming from it is amazing. Then I messed with the EQ and turned on voice enhancement, plus calibrated it to the room using Trueplay and I couldn’t be more impressed. At first I bought the Bose 900 sound bar for $899 and was not impressed. I returned it and got the Beam and at half the price of other sound bars, the Sonos Beam is perfect! By saving money and getting the Beam, I can add on and get the Sonos subwoofer and rear speakers.

The Sonos Beam is a versatile soundbar that combines impressive sound quality with smart features and a sleek design. While it may not be suitable for large home theaters, it’s an excellent choice for smaller living spaces. If you’re looking to elevate your audio experience without breaking the bank, the Sonos Beam is a solid choice.

Only had to take some time to spend connecting it and updating but once it was completed, everything was smooth sailing. Perfect for a bedroom, or even a small-medium living room. The highs are great and register very well, the speech enhancement mode is a life changer when you want to stay at lower volumes. The lows sound very great, despite me not having a subwoofer yet, this helps by being able to hit a wide range of sounds so it doesn’t so “hollow” like some other all in one soundbars I’ve had. The mids sound phenomenal, playing music, watching movies, or even playing games, the 5 channels lets me hear directional audio better than other soundbars.

After a lot of research on Sonos products I purchased the beam for my living room with a mini sub. The beam is awesome. Some would enjoy it without the sub. 100% better than tv speakers. My living room is a secondary room to watch tv. I have an Arc on order and will likely get the era 300 and sub 4 setup for my family room. But the beam is legit. Set up was a breeze.

Coming from a really terrible Bose sounder experience. Sonos knocked it out of the park. Sound is incredible, great bass, audio is crystal clear. Very easy to set up, making it seamless like Apple. I am happy, wife is happy too :) We have it paired with (2) Sonos One surrounds which complete the experience. Also, I love the fact that they don't force you to buy a bundle - I have a black Beam and white surrounds which fade in more into the lighter colored walls. A+

Booooom.... This surround bar is amazing. We upgraded from our TCL bar for the living room tv after buying a new house and it came with a Sonos surround set up for the bedroom tv. The wireless subwoofer has such amazing bass and literally makes the couch shake. Very easy to set up and get working. Do not wait. go out and buy one today!!

Researched soundbars for some time and this one generally was a top choice. We needed a bar only as we have a grabby kiddo, with a TV/media height that is in his reach, so too many cords and speakers are not an option. For some context we have what I would describe as a decent but not giant sized living room. Listened to several different bars before this one, including one at a higher price point ($369 on sale currently for the Sonos Beam 2) and the difference was clear, we couldn't get out of there fast enough with this one. Before tipping my hand, the Best Buy employee pointed us in this direction as well, further solidifying the choice. No it does not have Bluetooth but as explained to me that cuts the quality and would disable Dolby Atmos, and sound quality. Set up wasn't too hard, there is no remote so you must you use an app to set up but after a quick sound setting change on my LG OLED (2020 model) to HDMI arc (needed for this and similar soundbars to maximize their quality/filter dialogue) the TV remote works for the Sonos Beam 2 and now I have one less remote. Once all the updates were complete and I got everything going (15-20 minutes) I put on Top gun Maverick and what a difference from our old Vizio soundbar. We could hear each of the different individual sounds and it filled the room better than I thought a bar could. Once the characters began talking (have tested this on a few other movies/shows) we no longer had to toggle the sound up and down to hear people talk. It should be noted that the dialogue technology is available in a variety of similar soundbars but again, the sound for the price was unbeatable from what I read/saw. I later put on a little Halo and could hear old Master Chief walking around with clean sound that should make gameplay that much better. Lastly, its clear that as our kiddo gets older we will be able to add equipment wirelessly should we choose - sub, speakers and so on. Save yourself some time, if this is in your price range pull the trigger, you will not be disappointed.
