    Sonos Boost

This purchase was more of a problem solver and allowed me to create a dedicated Sonos network and avoid drops or buffering. I will say it wasn't easy to install because the instructions from Sonos are very weak and I had to get Sonos Tech support. The step that was omitted for me is I needed to plug the Boost into the modem and then use an Ethernet cable into another Sonos speaker. Also the new Sonos 1 speaker that is Alexa enabled has the Boost built in - I am not a fan of Alexa so I did not want that speaker but you may want to consider it instead of a Boost.

    Best Fix - Sonos Network

Previously had power boost to connected to my network to fix a poor route signal. I have given one to family member to fix the issue of connecting a problematic router to the Sonos speaker I gave as gift. It is the easiest fix to poor signal strength/network issues to your Sonos speaker period. Found that it even extends my signal for other devices connected to my network!

I started out with the Sonos Playbase and everything was fine. Then I added the Sonos Sub.....that's when I found out you will need the Boost....another $100.00. Then I added the Play1 surrounds, which also will require the Sonos Boost to operate properly. The entire system is WONDERFUL....sounds GREAT!! One last little note, hook the Boost up to your original modem, NOT an extender as I learned the hard way! You will not be disappointed!!

I bought the Sonos Boost because I have eleven Sonos Speakers and one Sonos Amp. There was a slight delay getting my speakers up and running with the app, about 3 to 5 seconds. A friend, who is the person who introduced me to Sonos speakers, said he bought the Sonos Boost to improve his connection for his 4K sqft house. He mention it also removed any lag in connecting to his speakers. Sure enough, I now experience no lag even in my garage or backyard. The setup was easy as long as your 1st initial setup is done close to your router like all Sonos. After that the Sonos Boost is your hub for all things Sonos. I highly recommend the Boost for people who own more than couple Sonos speakers or the speakers are a long way apart from each other.

Well I was skeptical on getting this because I figured I have a good system for wifi and an access point, well needless to say I noticed a hiccup here and there and well I Decided to take the plunge. Well the speakers reprogrammed themselves to work with this network without me needing to do a thing, just plug it in.... really awesome and yeah, all my speakers are working well... I got 8.....I wanted it alllllllll around the house!

In simple terms the Sonos system speakers are designed to operate as a linked wireless WIFI network. Each has unique and cleverly devised hardware and firmware, When speakers are a great distance about in a large home, the BOOST creates a secondary WIFI network just for SONOS speakers to run on. It is like adding another lane to a crowded highway. Better connectivity and speed everywhere, including original WIFI network.

we just purchased an older home built in the 1970s which had not been wired for speakers. It is 6000 ft.² and we wanted music everywhere. We have speakers all over the house and it was so easy to install. The sound is fantastic and my little girls can have music in their bedrooms to fall asleep while we are enjoying our own music on the main floor. The only con about this system are the surroundsound two little speakers that are not that great. But everything else is super!

I bought one of these to separate the 5 play:5's onto their own network in a gym space of over 5000 sqft. This has helped the play:5's quality and allowed them to remain reliable. The 5 play:5's have great quality and fill the space with sound. It's very convenient to be able to control the speakers together or individually in order to have classes in certain areas have less noise. Would definitely buy again.

This a great system. I replaced my whole house audio system with the Sonos system and couldn't be happier. The hook up and set up were a breeze and the sound is awesome. I was using the Nuvo Essentia system before, which worked great for it's time, but for ease of use and access to so many features as well as incredible flexibility you can't beat the Sonos system.

I was having trouble with my SONOS system communicating from one end of the house to the other. (I do NOT have a giant house) This was frustrating as components would lose connection at times. The Boost component has made all of that a thing of the past. If you are connecting different rooms that are not adjacent to one another I strongly suggest this device.

I tried to short-cut my SONOS system by using a splitter to hard wire my router (because my router was originally in another area of my house) to the SONOS sound bar... Forget about it! Purchase the Booster and allow the Booster to do what it was designed to do! Now the Booster, connected directly to the router are both neatly placed out of sight and my SONOS never sounded better! I have a complete SONOS surroundsound wireless system.
