We add this to our existing Sonos system. For as small as it is it has great sound. We started to automate our home with Amazon Alexa and so far has worked very well with easy setup.

I purchased the Sono one with Alexa in Dec 2017 and couldn't be happier. I downloaded both the Sonos and Alexa apps. The setup for this none computer dude went just fine. The sound is absolutely amazing blasting out of the Sono's, excellant bass for a compact unit. It's really cool to say Alexa, play Angle Eyes or Alexa turn on the lamp. I highly recommend the Sono w/Alexa and can't wait to add another Sono Speaker (stereo)!

We love this speaker! It is so easy to set up (even I can do it!) and it sounds great. We use it in conjunction with several other Sonos speakers. It is really nice to now be able to control them all by voice. The Alexa built-in app is also very handy. As with all our Sonos speakers, this one sounds best when you take the time to optimize its sound, but that takes so little time and the sound is definitely worth it.

Sound is pretty good. Looks pretty good on the eye as well and can fit and blend in nicely with any decor. Only con I’ve noticed so far is that you have to be pretty close for Alexa to hear you when you command it.

This is my 7th Sonos product and I love it. The Apple Airplay integration is the separator. I can now easily stream my playlist to the One, or select where to send it to. This is a step up from using the Sonos app that tries to queue the playlists, making it challenging in a home with multiple users. Now we can all be happy. Sound is outstanding as usual with Sonos and Alexa integration is a bonus.

These speakers sound great no matter where you put them. We have faulted ceilings in our flooring store and a big open showroom. Sound quality is awesome! And setup was easy.

We bought this 'Alexa' friendly Sonos model speaker for my elderly Mother, who likes to listen to music but has trouble with 'apps'. It was easy to set up and works well. She can tell it what kind of music she wants to hear and it will play it for her. We have not 'tuned' the speaker yet, so it is a little muddy in the lower registers. But this is an easy fix. Overall, its a nice little speaker.

I have purchased a number of these SONOS products from Best Buy. I have a Play:5, a Play:3, a PlayBar, a Subwoofer, and several Ones. There is now one in every room. One room has an Echo, three rooms have Ones with Alexa built-in. I gifted two older Play:1’s to my fiance’s Daughters. They sound great, work great, are easy to configure & update periodically, and, except for being kind of pricey, a good value.

The sonos one works just like the rest of the sonos except it now has Alexa built into it. I will most likely get 1 or two more to finish out the house in the near future.

In a big fan of Sonos and have used it for years. I have over a dozen of their speakers throughout my house. I also am a big user of Alexa and automation, so I figured that I’d try the Sonos One speaker with Alexa integration. Overall, I think the Model 1 is probably Sonos best value proposition Sonos makes. I would buy a pair of Sonos 1 speakers before buying a single Model 5 speaker for a room. I desperately wish they made a weatherproof speaker that I could use outside in the summer. So I bought the One to test it out. I was slightly disappointed, didn’t find it worked better than using a number Amazon Dot to control the speaker, I didn’t find that the microphone array on the Sonos One were as sensitive as the microphone arrays in Amazon Echoes and Dots. I often have to say the wake word ‘Alexa’ more than once to get the Sonos One to respond. For example, I have an Amazon Echo (1st gen) in my bathroom so that I can listen to the news and radio while I’m showering in the morning. I can also adjust my thermostat and the volume all while showering. When I’m in my bedroom where the Sonos speaker is located, I’ll say Alexa, and the Sonos speaker won’t respond, but the Echo in the bathroom next door will hear me and respond My other disappointment was that the Sonos One doesn’t support calling features. I tried to make a phone call with it, which I’ve used my Echo and Dot speakers to do, and the Sonos One responded that it didn’t support calling. So those are my two complaints- microphone sensitivity and lack of support for calling features. But the speakers still sound great. My Echos and Dots are linked with the Sonos skill, so I was already using them all over the house to control Sonos speakers without a hitch. I do wish that Alexa supported commands to pause the music for a set period of time to answer a phone or mute commercials, or to set a wake up alarm to a specific mucus source, but if they do that I haven’t been able to figure it out yet. It’s nice to have Alexa play music and tell it to stop in 20 or 30 minutes, effectively setting a sleep timer when going to bed. I use Sonos and Echo to listen to the radio, Spotify, Pandora and Sirius Radio stations. I also have a soundbar which I learned allows you to play the TV anywhere. So I sometimes link the soundbar to the bathroom in order to listen to CNBC or Fox Business while I’m in the shower, or do my news or market review. Very handy.

    Alexa combined with Sonos...

Alexa combined with Sonos is actually a pretty nice pairing. I was not into the whole voice controlled home idea, but decided that if I could at least have music blaring through the system without pulling out my phone, it'd be more than welcomed. Jumped on the black friday deal and I am glad I went with the One vs the Play 1. Alexa is currently limited (it is still in beta) and I find a little bit annoying that I can't group speakers without my phone/tablet. Minor pet peeve, but not enough to remove one star. Maybe it'll be better once Alexa integration comes out of beta. Until then I am witholding judgement.

Great sound especially when pairing left and right units. Alexa works like my standalone stuff from Amazon. That said, the integration between the two is nothing great but I am hopeful that it will be fixed by the two companies developers in future software fixes.
