Customers are saying

However, customers are negative about the lack of Bluetooth connectivity and some inconsistencies with the voice assistant and app functionality. The price point also received mixed reviews, with some finding it a bit high. Overall, the speaker's audio performance is a major selling point, though some features require improvement.

Great sound quality and volume. Difficult to get google assistant configured (tip - allow Bluetooth on google side). Only limitation is that you cannot group the Sonos with other google speakers in a google home group which I did not know.

So the nice thing about these speakers is that they have ability to utilize Alexa and Google assistants, BUT one thing that I didn't know, was that if you're planning on making two of them, surround speakers, you MUST buy 2 of the same models even though for the most part, the play and the play1 are the same speaker. This was pretty frustrating because I really only cares to have Alexa/Google to the left of my head by the couch and quickly hit a brick wall when the app told me I needed 2 like speakers. So I had to rush back to BB, return the play1 for another (more expensive One) and I'm not even using the right surround speaker for voice assistance! Anyways, besides that, they are great speakers and I tried Google on them because Google recognises what you're saying better, hears you better and gives better answers than Alexa does. NOT with Sonos though. I'm glad they brought Google over, but because they were Alexa from the beginning, she does work better that Google ATM.

Great sound and easy to install. It easily pairs with the sound bar but un-pairs overnight. It is a great speaker to locate near a hearing impaired person.

The Sonos One (Gen 2) sounds great for its size and was easy to configure. I added 2 Sonos One's to my existing Sonos setup (Sonos sound bar and Sonos subwoofer).

Good Sound in a Small Package

This speaker provides great sound for such a small package. But the Sonos app is what makes a big difference between it and other options. I compared these Sonos speakers side by side with a Bose 500, in my own home with my music. While I generally prefer Bose sound over any other speakers I have listened to, I thought this was comparable. If I was judging strictly on sound quality I would probably still go with the Bose speaker. But when you compare the function and features of the Sonos app compared to the Bose app for WiFi speakers, Sonos wins hands down.

Sounds great, easy setup, good to have voice control. The only downside is that it is not compatible with the older Play:One as part of a stereo pair.

My wife bought me this and the Sonos Beam as an anniversary gift as I had been wanting a sound system for the house but wanted a full house option. This Sonos One and the Beam are a great option. We have two Sonos One's throughout our loft and back rooms and the Beam with our tv and we have great uniform sound throughout the house. The ability to wirelessly control all sound and what is played where is helpful as we often want to watch tv but have music when working in the office. I highly recommend this unit and the Sonos system. I am looking to add to it with outdoor speakers for the summer.

After bringing these speakers home, I was very impressed by the sound, the Sonos App and the ease of setting it all up. This was a try out for Sonos equipment for me, and I am sold. I plan to add more speakers over time. My key worry is that in researching Sonos speakers that I had read that as Sonos moves on in technology they stop support of the older products, much like phones manufacturers stop support older phones. I hope that is not true as I plan to invest a significant amount in Sonos speakers.
