I've been looking at Sonos speakers for months - reading reviews, listening in stores, asking friends who have them - but I kept putting off the purchase because I have 2 Bose Soundlink Bluetooth speakers, and I thought the Sonos speakers were 1) expensive, and 2) would be redundant to the Bose. But when I had accumulated enough Best Buy MyRewards points, I finally bought the Sonos. Wow! I love it! While it's not as portable as the Bose, the sound is fantastic and it's easier to use. Not that the Bose is hard, but it does require you to connect your playing device via Bluetooth. With the Sonos, once you connect it to your network, it's always ready to play. Just press the button and it starts playing. I love that! I have it in my bathroom so I can listen to music while taking a shower. With the Bose, it was always a several-minute ordeal to get everything connected and ready to play (Bluetooth, Spotify/Pandora/Google Music), but the Sonos fires up immediately. Now I'm eager to add another Sonos to put in our kitchen.

This was my second Sonos Play 1, which I paired with the other in a medium sized room. Very good sound which sounds well balanced and full. Pairing the 2 units provides better fidelity than one alone, as well as providing stereo separation. When finances permit I hope to purchase a Play 5 for a larger room, but doubt that it will perform significantly better than a pair of Play 1's. However, I understand that it has an audio input which the 1 does not.

We started with a Sonos Playbar and Connect underneath our home theater. When we added the Play1 speakers (2) for surround sound, the difference was amazing. Now I can't imagine not having them. The sound quality is awesome. Certain programs or movies channel or music channel to the surround speakers differently - sometimes it's so good it blows my mind. If you are wondering, like I was, whether to add them, DO IT!!!

I purchased the Play 1 bundle package (2 speakers) approximately 1 month ago to add to my Play Bar. The sound quality is great on the Play 1's. I primarily utilize both speakers as surrounds. When watching movies you can hear background sounds that I would never had heard on my previous system. (Bose 3.2.1) While playing music the Play 1's really gives the Sonos a great bang. Great clarity & good bass. I am now set-up to purchase the subwoofer next.

After many years of circling the Sonos ecosystem, I decided to dive in. I have a bunch of Amazon Alexa devices around the house, but find them lacking when it comes to sound quality and multi-room music. (Particularly how you can't use them on bluetooth connections and multi-room at the same time.) These speakers offered a great fix for me. Affordable, good sound quality, easy setup and voice-control integrations. I set two up as a stereo pair and added one in an adjacent room and enjoy space-filling, quality sound. Last note - now that Amazon no longer allows upload and storage of music files that are not currently in their library (like personal recordings, old out of print album conversions, etc.) the Sonos ecosystem gives me a new way to conveniently play all of my stored music files anywhere in the house, even if those files don't exist on major streaming services.

I had been thinking about adding a Play:3 as a secondary speaker to place in our kitchen so that sound coming from the Play:5, which doubles as sound for our TV plus music, etc. But I was holding off due to the price. The Play:1 was the perfect solution. It's a more ideal size, $100 cheaper and no compromise on sound.

Having a Sonos system installed by a professional, I was a little concerned that I would not be able to get the system to network with my existing system. Within minutes from taking it from the box, however, the speakers were up and running. It was even remarkably easy to pair the speakers to make them the left and right channels. I'm very pleased with my purchase.

My spouse and I fell in love with SONOS when we first saw/heard it in a high end audio retailer. We investigated and started with the basic components to use it with our existing home theatre setup. We are expanding the system throughout the house, hence this purchase. My only disappo8ntment was that I bought a white speaker rather than a black ... my bad ... but that does not effect my rating of the device.

I originally purchased a Play: 3 and I wound up LOVING it, but I wanted more versatility in the system, so decided to replace it with a pair of Play: 1's - what a good decision that was. I have them setup in the dining room, but one of them is in a spot that I can easily grab it and move it to another room or out to the patio. By itself, I'd say this speaker is almost on par with the Play: 3, with maybe a tiny bit less bass, but what bass does exist is way more punchy. Kick drums sound amazing. But, the real kicker, when you want to be blown away by music, is to place them about 8-10 feet apart, pair them in stereo, and use the trueplay tuning for the room. Once that's done, prepare to we absolutely wowed by their awesomeness. I can stand/sit in the sweet spot and just enjoy the soundstage. I'm so glad I listened to other people who said to try the stereo pair. I am not at all sorry I made the exchange.

I purchased two Sonos Play 1 speakers to add to my Sonos Playbar and sub-woofer - best decision! These small speakers provide the perfect balance and add spectacular surround sound to a room that had horrible acoustics. The Sonos system not only provides beautiful sound, but it's expandability is an awesome feature. Nothing about Sonos is cheap, but I feel that it's completely worth the money. I continue to recommend this product to my friends and family!

After some extensive research, decided to install a Sonos system and started with the Sonos 1 speaker and the BRIDGE. Set-up was a breeze and in short order, had Pandora up and streaming. The sound quality from this small speaker is amazing! Even bass notes come through very well. Very pleased with this purchase.

The Play:1 speakers continue to reinforce the notion that a fleet of speakers throughout the house makes a far better setup than two huge speakers only residing in one room creating an unbalanced audio hotspot. Walking through the house and being able to enjoy music or movie audio expanded from their PlayBar is everything I'd hoped it would be before committing to this system. The convenience of the wireless setup & how well everything keeps in sync is simply gravy on top. With the Sonos app within handy reach of a nearby phone, tablet or PC, the speakers can be immediately reconfigured to play whole-house or zoned so that the kids can enjoy a movie in the living room while the speaker in the home office reaches out to Pandora (doesn't require your mobile device to feed the speaker). Sonos fits perfectly with the way I want to use an audio system.

I added these as surrounds for my sound bar and subwoofer, with which I had been delighted. I opted for the Play1 units, since I didn’t want or need the Alexis functionality. They sound great! I’d consider adding them to other rooms in the home. They are heavy and seem very well built. Like all the other Sonos products, these were extremely simple to install and in this case integrate with an existing system.
