    Working together...

...to fill my home with music. I added two more of these Sonos: Play 1 speakers to extend my music network further. These are in an office and are set up as a stereo pair, but Play 1 can also work as a single speaker. They joined my home network of 6 Sonos speakers that includes a portable, other pairs of speakers, and Connect boxes that add my existing speakers into the mix. Music streams all together or they can stream different sounds in different rooms. The Sonos mesh network reaches from basement through second story with no lag. Streams from different music services like Rhapsody or Spotify or from my own network drive, which includes music and audio books. The Sonos system is great! I purchased the speakers online and they were ready for same day pickup from an efficient and friendly employee. Sonos and Best Buy: good experience!

We used to always have Bose speakers, however we will never go back after purchasing products from Best Buy/Sonos. The speakers are extremely easy to set up and sound amazing. We are using them for both our surround sound and for additional speakers in other rooms. We thought about getting the play 5, however we really didn't want to have that big of a speaker if we didn't have to. We were told that if we didn't like them and decided on the larger speaker later we could exchange, but for us there was no reason to. Works great with the app on your phone. The only issue for us is one of the local radio stations that we frequently listen to is listed in the app, but it states that it is "unable to play the radio station" so we aren't sure if it is a Sonos issue or the stations issue.

Warning, this speaker is much like your favorite donuts, you cannot stop with just one! I have been a Squeezebox user for many years and Sonos just seemed too expensive. The introduction of the Play 1 changed that. The special short term deal for a free bridge sent me to take a listen. I was amazed by the sound from such a small speaker. Now I have paired two for stereo and they fill even a large room with great sound. The bass and treble, separately adjustable for each speaker, and balance are adjustable from the app for custom sound. Even the wifi frequency is adjustable although the network does not interfere with any 2.4 Ghz devices. The setup was very easy for pairing and the app allows not only streaming from your favorite stations but allows placing your selections in a queue to stream flawlessly for hours. There are not enough stars available to rate the enjoyment from this wonderful product!

Not sure how everyone claims these speakers are great. 1. I have two Sonos Ones. The one in my kitchen gets dropped by Sonos every month. We add in back in and it works fine and then magically gets dropped. We talk with their customer service and reboot everything from scratch and still have the same problem a few week later. 2. The Alexa works only 30% of the time and we are talking about the most simplest commands like "turn off", "turn volume lower", "play xyz station" or "shut off". Because of this we gave up using Alexa. 3. The sonos App is not easy to add stations onto. A lot more work than it should be. I give the app a two star rating as well.

I purchased the sound bar and woofer. The sound was so GOOD that I decided to purchase two play 3s to complete the surround sound. Every body who looks at TV in the family turns their heads trying to figure out where sounds come from. It's funny. The system picks up sounds from movies and TV that you don't realize are there. The sound of the speakers is really GOOD! The app is the best. You can speakers to any room at any time to expand your listening experience. Look at me sounding like an advertisement...Lol! I just really like the system. I have 10 speakers from the play 1 - play 5 along with the bar and woofer. Whenever I see a open box I pick it up. I purchased these over a 2 year period. It's easy to hook up and connect speakers. They sound Great outside too! You can't go wrong with Sonos.

Received a play 3 for xmas last year and decided we liked it enough to get more. We purchased two play 1's and paired them and could not believe the stereo sound coming out of them. Sonos is working on voice activation and I hope they come up with a way to make some kind of device to allow the current series to be voice activated. HIGHLY Recommend this brand over Bose b/c of the wifi access and you do not need to Bluetooth them which can be a hassle if you still have a flip phone. App easy to use and allows for streaming on multiple stations in multiple rooms. Recommend upgrading your remote so you can use one remote for everything if you have not already and getting a playbar. Would recommend to anyone considering this type of audio device. Easy to install, use, and play.

I have 2 of these and a Sonos One and the review would really apply to them all. The sound quality is great. I have 2 of these in my living room as a stereo pair so I can listen to music without the whole surround sound system and they fill the room pretty well. Very balanced sound, plenty of bass without overkill. My only criticism is the app is not the best. I have had issues connecting it to music services at times so I. hope they can fix that. Only other thing to bear in mind is that if you use Apple Airplay you can not use it directly with the Sonos Play1 you will need at least 1 Sonos One to make it work

I first purchased one of these to use standalone in a small room, and then quickly bought a second to convert these to rear speakers attached to my Playbar to get surround sound. Based on its size, the Play 1 does a good job on its own for a decent listening experience. However, this speaker sounds considerably better when paired with a SUB and another Play 1 friend. For a home theater surround sound experience I am incredibly pleased. For a solo listening device there are better speakers out there that take up the same footprint. So it is up to you whether you want to get a Sonos for the wireless features, an amazing surround system, or a solo listening experience. When I switched from using the speaker on its own to using it with others I was very impressed. I will get a cheaper and better sounding Bose speaker for the small room that I was originally going to use this in.

I bought this to go with the new large screen television. I was planning on having the room wired for speakers but decided to do this after so many people said they thought it would do what I wanted. I have only been using it for a short time. I bought a sonos play 1 and will probably also buy a sonos play 3. The play 1 is easy to move around so I move it from kitchen to bath to patio to provided music in those locations. I was told the play 3 is better sound quality but it is also larger. For the price it does a good job. You must calibrate the speakers in the sound bar with the living space. Once I did that the sound quality was a lot better. If you are deep into sound quality, this will probably disappoint but I think it is doing a good job. As soon as I get the subwoofer hooked up I might be more than happy. It certainly is easy to add to and move the speakers around.

I had bought 2 SONOS ONE speakers to start with in my livingroom as a paired stereo. I then wanted to expand and went with the SONOS PLAY 3 for our 4 season patio room. After having it for the weekend, I soon found myself 2nd guessing my purchase. I did some more research and I found that it would be better to have another pair of PLAY 1's for the fact of them handling humidity better than the PLAY 3. There was also the fear of me thinking the two PLAY 1's would sound better as well. My instincts were right, they definitely had more to offer than the one PLAY 3. I read how the bass was so much better and that's why I took that route 1st. (Not that big of a difference) So if you're trying to make the same decision, just get the pair of PLAY 1's or ONE's and use them as a Stereo pair.

I bought this about a month ago because O really enjoy listening to music from my phone. Setup and configuration was a breeze, and the app is a free download. Speaking of the app... the spotify version on the sonos app is so far removed from their actual app, it is borderline frustrating to use. However, the sound quality more than makes up for it. Never would I have thought I could get the clarity PLUS a really good basstone from a small digital speaker. My father, who is an old school audiophile, was stunned by it as well. Will it replace your already wired system? Probably not, but that is why they have all of the other speakers and conversion methods to allow even those to be controlled through your sonos app. I definitely recommend it if you are looking for ease of use, enjoy using apps like Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, to name a few, and a great feeling of getting what you paid for.

I cannot say enough bad things about Sonos...

After having my $2500 worth of Sonos speakers for 2 months now, I cannot express how much I hate the Sonos ecosystem, especially after having used the Amazon Alexa system. Ease of set? Ha! Customer support? Hahahahahaha!!!! The only support is on weekdays (to afford these speakers most of us have to work during those same hours). Price? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Other than the sound quality, there is absolutely nothing good to say about Sonos. The app is the absolute worst and at least weekly I am plagued with issues. Today's issue: I simply updated my wifi router keeping the same login name and password but the Sonos ecosystem cannot locate or allow me to reset. I shall not shed a tear when Sonos goes out of business.

These are really cool, good sounding speakers. I originally got three, and quickly added another three for other rooms/corners of same rooms. The app is pretty easy and puts all your music in one place. The setup is easy. One annoying thing is that if you subscribe to Apple Music, and download tons of stuff so you're not always sucking bandwidth (example - I download everything at work with fast internet bc we live in an area with no cable internet, just DSL, so I don't want to use precious limited bandwidth streaming music) the Sonos app won't access your downloaded Apple Music - only stuff you actually bought. Same w amazon music. Very annoying because it defeats the purpose of downloading the music. Otherwise they sound great, everybody knows that. I'll probably get a play 5 for a bigger room at some point - right now I have two play 1's in there, which works out well.

There's not much for me to say that hasn't already been said. I bought a 2nd Play 1 to sterro pair with a Play 1 I already had. I plan to add the Subwoofer to them in the future. While you can't really compare these to Martin Logan, Def Tech, or Klipsch, for their size and the fact that they're wireless, you can't beat their sound quality. Additionally, while they are a little pricey, when you include all the features and services available, they are actually a pretty good deal. I have been using various Sonos products for years. The only issue I have ever had was when I hooked them up via my wifi network. Sometimes different players or devices would disappear. Once I hardwired one device to my network and used Sonos' proprietary network, it has been rock solid. I highly recommend Sonos in general and Play 1s in specific.

    Great home sound system solution

I was looking for a solution for a home sound system that I could use to stream SiriusXM off my iPhone at home synchronized in multiple rooms. This is exactly what I was looking for. I am technology challenged, but the set up was super easy. The app I downloaded on my iPhone to use the system is easy. I love the sound. I recently had someone over to the house and when we walked in the door I turned on the system and she said "Wait! Did you just do that with your PHONE??" It's super convenient. I'm continually adding speakers to this system in various rooms. The sound is rich even at higher volumes. I have NOT yet tried it outside in my backyard so I can't speak to the range that it has with regards to the wireless bridge. All in all I'm extremely satisfied with this product and it was worth the money.

Very long arduous process to setup initially, including waving your phone around the room like an idiot while the speaker plays sci-fi noises. Then I discovered that although it is technically compatible with Apple Music, you can’t play your music directly from the Apple app at all. You have to play using the Sonos app which is NOT the same at all and does not echo all the same functionality. This is a very clumsy kluge at best. The final kicker is that there is entirely too much low end (bass). I had to turn the bass all the way down just to make it tolerable, and it’s still too much. There’s a lot more to complain about but these are the major things . This junk goes back to Best Buy tomorrow. Looks like I will have to buy real audiophile speakers after all.

I've been holding off on getting on the Sonos bandwagon, but I was bored one weekend and wanted to add some speakers in our condo so we could hear music in any/every room. The speakers are super easy to setup and the app interface is easy to use allowing for you to play the same music throughout your house or different music in each room where there is a Sonos speaker. No cabling needed through the walls or Ethernet cable connected to the speakers (except it helps to have it next to your router on initial setup), all you need is power to each speaker where they will finally be placed in your house. You'll need a decent WiFi connection where your speaker is to stream the music too. Great quality for such a small speaker too. What are you waiting for? Go get yours!

I got into Sonos because I wanted a speaker in my bathroom. I ended up putting it in the kitchen so I bought another one for the bathroom. That one ended up in my bedroom. Well now I've got a pair that covers a good portion of the house. A Play 5 sure would sound nice in the living room to round it out. Ah yes and certainly there could be some more bass so I'll get the woofer. So what I'm trying to say here is that 1 speaker purchase turned into a whole system essentially and has the room to keep growing. They sound awesome, function very well and I love being able to start things like Pandora and whatever and not need to have a computer open. 5 stars all around on these speakers. Eventually I'll get that bathroom speaker....probably after the soundbar.

At first I wasn't impressed with the sound the speaker was providing. I added this and another one to my sonos soundbar and other than music and sounds (water dripping and such) I really didn't feel they were making a difference as loudness and voice clarity. I purchased both during the Black Friday sale so I didn't have time to talk to anyone at Best Buy as I wanted to be in and out. Luckily I work right by the sonos store and talked to someone there and he told me to up the ambient sound. I did and got exactly what I wanted. Now anytime someone comes over and I'm watching sports or an action movie they get startled by the speakers as they don't notice them due to their convenient size and placement. I just purchased the subwoofer so I have now completed the surround system. Just in time for the playoffs. Satisfied consumer right here and got them on sale.

I already have a Sonos Playbar and Sub. I actually bought two of these to complete my sourround system. Pros: really small, much smaller than the Play 3's and much smaller in person that in pictures. About the size of a large can of peaches. Sound quality is acutally pretty good and can fill up a living room with sound. Easy set up if you're setting up as a single speaker, stereo or as part of rear speakers like I did. If setting up as rears set up was really easy with Sonos app. Surround sound works great with independing sound coming from rea left and right. Also big plus is the wireless capability AND NO wires except for the need for power. Cons: Expensive at $200 a pop they can get pricey. For best sound need to pair with a Sub and sub is $699. Also you need to have a Sonos bridge which right now is free but not sure how much longer it will be free. Overall very happy with purchase and would def recommend to friend.
