I, like most Sonos fans, purchased the Sonos Soundbar first, after listening to it at Best Buy. The sound was incredible so I saved up my spare money until I could afford two Play 5's. Oh, my! After the very easy installation of the Play 5's the quality of the sound was better than I had ever dreamed I could have. Spotify and Pandora came alive as well as Amazon music. Movies are incredible with Sonos duplicating the sound exactly in the way the studio intended us to hear it. The speakers are stylish and are heavy. You only need to have one of the speakers connected through a Cat 5 cable in order to play sound through the Sonos system. I have my Sound Bar connected to my router and when you add other Sonos components you simply follow the easy to understand instructions and within a minute all your speakers are connected wirelessly through Sonos's Wifi.. Sonos has an app available for Android and Apple that you use to control the Sonos system. Since purchasing the Play 5's I have also purchased the Sonos Sub and two Play 1's. The complete system is very expensive but OMG the sound you get is almost beyond believing until you hear it with your own ears. Sonos plays TuneIn, Pandora Radio, Spotify, Amazon Music and a large number of other subscription services. I will be eating beans for a long while but I can eat the beans while listening to my incredible Sonos sound system. I highly recommend Sonos to all of my family and friends and to those reading these reviews.

It was easy to set up, and the sound is full and rich. It's nice to have the equilzer and volume for each room available. Easy & enjoyable from the get go.

I have been listening to play 5 excellent music reproduction for a week now. I was not hoping anywhere near to this good, The vocals are absolutely clear and bass is astonishingly tight & powerful. I have 5.1 Martin Logan + Marantz setup and comparing play 5 to that would be foolish. But, I find myself listening to play 5 more often these days out of amazement.

Huge fan of Sonos products. This 5 was my first, and it was a great decision. Pricey, but I believe you get what you pay for, and this definitely holds true for Sonos.

We had a little difficulty getting the sound out of our speakers until a Sonos tech helped us figure out a setting on our tv needed to be changed. No problem since then and the sound is great. Very happy with our Sonos sound system.

Fills a small - medium size room with great sound. Bass is present but will not disturb your neighbors. Easy to use with ipad - android phone or computer. Sound is better than most bluetooth connections are capable of currently. Wireless streaming works well. If you must have bluetooth an adapter is available (see sonos site) but can not comment on how well it works.

The Sonos speaker was such a good investment. The sound is so crisp and clear. Very easy to set up. Looking forward to warm weather so I can take it outside.

I love my Sonos speakers, and my new play five is the best! It is a bit louder and the bass is amazing when compared to my original play 5.

If you need to fill with powerful and good quality sound any medium size room, this speaker is the best option. No need to be in pair. One speaker for each room. Nice new clean design, (I like white version for a house) more power than the 1st PLAY 5 generation. Easy to setup, Just be sure to have a good wifi coverage on that room.

My first Sonos speaker as I had a connect amp and connect as part of my house music system. We placed the new Play 5 in our master bathroom and it sounds perfect. Could not be happier with selection and final result.

This was purchased with other sonos components. Excellent sound and portability to the outdoor lanai. Now I have music everywhere I want.

Excellent sound quality and easy setup. I really love the ability to control it with my phone. I use it for music only and am very happy with it. The sound quality is noticeably superior to the smaller sonos speakers. The speaker would function well for a surround system, but I would consider it a bit overkill considering the price. The only downside is the price...

Ultimate Sonos sound. Using as basement main and fills entire floor. For the price it's the best speaker in class and ease of set up is incredible.

I decided to upgrade my sound system in our new house. At one point during my evaluation I had an Apple HomePod, two Sonos Ones, a Sonos Play:3 and the Sonos Play:5. Spoiler...the HomePod and Play:3 went back to the store and we kept the two Sonos Ones and Play:5. The HomePod gave the two Sonos Ones a run for their money, but simply "out-based" them. But the HomePod doesn't give you the stereo separation. So I introduced the Play:3 to the two Sonos Ones and that sounded very nice. Put things on par with the HomePod, plus avoided the walled technology garden that Apple fosters in the HomePod. But I still wanted a stronger, deeper base. So I replaced the Play:3 with a Play:5. Granted this is much more expensive than an Apple Homepod, but the Play:5 gave me an incredible base and with the two Sonos Ones I have the great stereo separation. The Play:5 alone fills the room very well with sound. What's really nice is that I can turn up the paired Sonos Ones over the Play:5 or vice versa to tweak my sound to my liking even more. Plus, I love the fact that I can add easily add more speakers around the house and group them together as desired in the future. Very pleased with my Play:5.

I bough 3 Sonos Play 5 and a subwoofer. The sound is excellent. The set up is easy and simple. I plan to add a Playbar when Trueplay is available.

Sonos is great! I bought it for a party I was having and it did the job! Great sound and bass, I will be buying the sound bar soon

Outstanding build quality . The speaker size itself is just right, not too big and not too small and it fits in easily anywhere in the room you choose. Set up is extremely easy and Alexa integration is an added bonus. The sound quality of this speaker is just phenomenal. It will rock your entire house!
