The sound is great and the price is also great. The only downside for us is we don’t have an IR remote to be able to control the sound bar with but the app works fine. Otherwise it would get 5 stars.

Impressive sound from an entry level soundbar. It is incredibly small for the sound it can produce. The Sonos app works seamlesly and includes Sonos Radio which has great content with awesome sound quality.

The Ray speaker is a good alternative if you want to boost your audio experience in a secondary room. I hook up the ray where my kids tv is located. Also, with airplay 2, I'm able to stream music all over the house, thus no unsoundable spot now for a good price.

The Sonos sound bar met our expectations. We placed this in our living room, which is on the smaller side; the sound bar delivers the expected quality sound. It was very easy to set up, and we were about to get our remote to work with the Sonos without issue. Having the app is also a nice perk. I recommend this sound bar for the price you pay.

Great little sound-bar and whole house audio speak

While the performance of this Sonos speaker is not at the same level of the arc or even the Sonos one, it is priced much lower, and I am extremely happy with the sound to dollars spent ratio. I am using one of these for its intended purpose in an outdoor set up as a sound bar for a 43 inch TV. It creates a rich audio experience for watching television and movies and I am surprised at the amount of base that comes out of this while it’s still presents dialogue really well. A huge bonus is that this connects to the other Sonos speakers in my house, and works really well for playing music. In fact, my second Sonos, Ray is set up in my dining room, purely as an audio streaming speaker. Sounds really great to fill in that room with audio. My only wish is that the Ray was Alexa enabled so that it was easier to control the speaker and whole house audio streaming from the locations where my Rays are located.

This little budget friendly Sonos package is great punch for a 8x10 room paired with a 43” tv. A great addition to my Sonos sound in every room.

Good sounding bar for a reasonable price. The addition of AirPlay makes these newer Sonos products much better than before. Not the loudest soundbar on the market by any means, but audio quality is very good. Balance is well straight out of the box and bass has a good kick to it. Sound does not distort unless pushed to the extreme. Only giving 4 star because for the price, it should be able to be a bit louder. Otherwise an excellent product from Sonos

We have other Sonos products. We wanted a small profile sound bar for our bedroom to pair with our new Roku TV. It need to have full sound but small profile due to small space. The Ray fit the bill nicely. It’s not to base heavy. We were not seeking full theater sound because we want to be able to use at night when others are potentially sleeping. It needed to be better than what the native TV sound is. The fact that it works with Apple was another selling point. We no longer use a home pod in the room, instead use our Ray as the music device.

Sounds better than most sound bars than are bigger and cost more. Great for movies, tv, music, and gaming. Sonos has made me a believer. Will definitely be purchasing more speakers from them in the future.

This soundbar was honestly a budget pick, but has turned out to be well worth the money. I went from not being able to hear dialogue over the soundtrack to a really clear, and loud, home theater experience. I am very happy with this purchase.

Returned Sonos “Ray” for correct model/ system

I ended up returning the Sonos “Ray” because it was not compatible without WIFI on my system. I upgraded to a slightly different model which is working out great. Best Buy tech support delivered my upgraded model and set everything up nicely. Make sure that your systems are compatible before purchasing the “Ray.” I love my new Sonos sound system now that I have the proper unit. I spent under $500. Not bad for really good sound quality with the ability to adjust treble, bass woofer included. If you are looking to connect to your entire house, make sure your components fit this system for entire house theatre sound. You’ll spend plenty but well worth it.

    Great Small Room Soundbar

This is a great small room soundbar with or without a sub in place. The sound is rich and before buying Sonos Sub Mini, bass is more than serviceable. I am still a fan of Polk Audio but having this as an entry purchase to Sonos' ecosystem, I would start considering Sonos for small rooms moving forward. I was originally skeptical due to lack of physical remote but since it is connected to my TV via optical cable, Fire TV's remote does everything so I would not have to worry about having an extra remote that my dog can chew up!

Love it! I have a total of 6 speakers, a Beam, a sub woofer, and now the Ray. The surround sound is simply amazing. Now for a mini sub to go with the Ray.

It was good until it wasn’t. I recently bought Sonos era 300 and for some reason it does not pair well with it, I wish i knew sooner but the overall quality is good for it’s price.

The Sonos Ray produces great sound for a compact soundbar. Easy setup. Ideal for mid-sized to small rooms, go with a Beam or Arc otherwise.

Great soundbar that fits perfectly on my desk! Given the small footprint, this soundbar slides right underneath my grovemade monitor desk stand for a clean look. Couldn't be happier and very easy to use.
