Sonos Roam is a great Bluetooth speaker with excellent sound and battery life. Its connectivity to my home Sonos system means I can extend the music outside. I can also use the Bluetooth connection to play non-Sonos music on the home system.

The Sonos Roam gen 2 improves slightly over gen in terms of battery life. Sound is very similar, functionality is essentially the same. The biggest difference and one of the best moves Sonos made on this redesign was adding the dedicated Bluetooth button the back. On first gen I was constantly holding down the button and waiting for the Bluetooth to sync. It always did sync, so, nothing to note there about it NOT working. To the average person who is familiar with pairing a phone, tablet, etc. with a speaker, this was a noteworthy decision and am glad Sonos added it. Overall, a decent "open box" pick-up and integrates with the other Sonos products in our home just fine.

Purchased a couple of these from the “Excellent” returns, but they had been set up by someone else, and after reading through the Sonos website, was able to do a factory reset, and then set them up as a pair. After getting them connected, took them out to a rather large porch, and I have to admit that they sounded better than I thought they would. These little speakers provide a rich sound and there isn’t any distortion whether it’s jazz, rock and roll, or instrumental. After fine tuning the app, on both iOS and Android, it’s been nice to take these around our property and use them in various locations. The battery life is great and I haven’t tried them at the lake yet, but they may get some use in the near future. Even though they are supposed to be water resistant, I think I won’t take a chance on that until I figure something to keep them floating. I was somewhat skeptical about these, but I would recommend them.

This small speaker does not disappoint. The quality is excellent and the size is great for traveling and getting great tunes in hotels or anywhere. I use it I my gum in the garage for workout music. I have the ARC and Beam systems in other rooms. Love this Product line. Well worth the money.

Love this speaker, but the set up was less than ideal. It kept going back and forth between blue tooth and wifi and that was problematic. After that was resolved, we have enjoyed the flexibility it offers and the strong sound it provides!

The Roam 2 is the go to when traveling as it provides enough power for a whole hotel room experience. Also is great for when getting ready in the bathroom. It's pretty powerful for a small speaker.

The small size make this an easy grab and go option for pretty much anyone . Speaker sounds reasonable for the size overall and the Alexa feature worked perfectly.

This is a great little portable speaker, with a big sound. It works well for all kinds of music and podcasts. I've used it indoors and out, and it has enough power to be heard, plus excellent clarity for the money. Highly recommend!

I wanted a small portable speaker to bring with me throughout my home and during outings. This smaller speaker packs a great amount of sound and bass. I have considered getting another to have in other areas of the house. I love the pairing capability with the other Sonos devices in my home.

i bought 4 of them because being water proof they're to be by the pool. The sound is exceptional for being such a small speaker. Plays for about 8 hours till it needs to be charged. Highly recommend.

I used the Sonos Roam 2 for lobby music in a multi-level office building, and when it’s working, it works really well. Sound quality is great for its size, and I loved being able to set a daily radio schedule so the lobby just… did its thing automatically. When everything was connected, it was smooth, reliable, and sounded exactly how lobby music should. That said, IT admin side eye, there were occasional disconnects due to Wi-Fi issues. The Sonos app makes it easy enough to manage if you’re on the same network. The problem? I worked a hybrid role and was usually offsite when issues happened. Which meant: • no remote management • no quick fixes • and an eerily quiet lobby until I was physically back in the office I really wish Sonos allowed true remote management, especially for office or commercial use. Having to be on-site to troubleshoot or make changes made things harder than they needed to be. Overall, it’s a great speaker with solid sound and easy scheduling, just know that if you’re responsible for IT and often offsite, this limitation is something to factor in.

The Sonos Roam 2 is performing as advertised. The great price and sound were the main selling points for my family. As other reviewers have indicated, the volume buttons are difficult to see because they are small and are the same material as a speaker. I simply marked the volume button with a piece of tape, which makes it easier to operate. I love the size of the speaker and the ability to adjust the equalizer on the app. I would highly recommend!

Sometimes I have issues connecting the speakers to my phone. I genuinely feel like it was easier with Roam SL. But I love the all black design, sound is amazing and loud! I get lot of compliments for how loud it is. But there isn’t much difference between Roam 2 and Roam SL. The most important difference is that roam 2 has a Bluetooth button I guess
