I have one from a previous order and it’s fair as long as it stays home, which defeats the purpose. The newer model (roam 2) is so much better in every way.

Using that, it gave me full access to my older speakers using Airplay and Voice command. It upgraded the system completely.

However, Sonos pushed out a re-design of the app in spring of 2024. This new app lost a lot of the features the old app had, including the ability to set up a new Roam speaker. They have a timeline for returning a lot of features over the next few weeks and months, but right now very little news about workarounds to be able to add a new speaker to your system or how long until it will be possible. So, unless you feel like waiting a few months to be able to use this speaker, or you want to find a way to download and install the old version of the app, don't buy this speaker - I couldn't find a way to make it work with the new app, just circles of "you need to update" and "there was an error with the update, contact support". (Support wait times have been hours because of how broken this new app is) Unless I already had sonos speakers, I would have returned this. As is, I was able to find and download the old version of the app and after multiple tries, could update and register my new Roam to the system.
