Giving the majority of the lower frequencies to the sub allows the beam to provide a better listening experience for both music and movies. I watched Mad Max Furiosa last night and it completely chnaged the watching experience. In the sonos app you can disable the sub on demand, in certain scenes of the movie I turned the sub off to hear what it would sound like without it and man, without the sub its like all the depth of the sound disappears. Definitely a must have upgrade if you own a beam. If you’re on the fence like I was, just bite the bullet and get it! If you end up changing your mind you can always return it!

I was literally in the middle of testing the Arc Ultra with Alien: Romulus when I activated the subwoofer. My room started rumbling. It was night and day. We have a smaller living room so the Sub Mini is the perfect size for our situation.

After adding it really noticed the difference immediately. Have two gen 3 subs in my main movie room with an arc and 300’s and really had a tough time deciding if a mini would be good. It is!
