As an avid home theater enthusiast, I recently added two Sonos Sub Gen 3 subwoofers to my setup, and the results have been nothing short of spectacular. These powerful subwoofers have completely elevated my movie-watching and music-listening experiences, shaking up the couches as if I were in a Dolby theater!
The first thing that impressed me about the Sonos Sub Gen 3 is its sleek and minimalist design, which seamlessly blends into my living room decor. The build quality is top-notch, and the setup was a breeze with the Sonos app guiding me through the process.
Now, let’s talk about the bass performance. With two Sonos Subs placed strategically on either side of the couch, the impact of low-frequency sounds is simply mind-blowing. The Subs produce a deep and resonant bass that adds a whole new dimension to movies, music, and games. Explosions, rumbling engines, and dramatic scores are delivered with such intensity that I feel fully immersed in the action.
The beauty of the Sonos Sub Gen 3 lies in its ability to sync flawlessly with other Sonos speakers in my setup. Whether I’m watching a blockbuster movie or streaming my favorite playlist, the Subs work in perfect harmony with my Sonos soundbar and surround speakers, creating a cohesive and immersive soundstage that fills the room.
The Subs’ performance during music playback is equally impressive. It doesn’t matter if I’m listening to bass-heavy hip-hop tracks or symphonic masterpieces; the Sonos Subs reproduce the bass notes with precision and depth, enhancing the overall listening experience.
Another aspect I appreciate is the ease of control. Through the Sonos app, I can fine-tune the bass levels to my liking, ensuring that the Subs complement the content I’m enjoying without overpowering it.
While the Sonos Sub Gen 3 might come with a premium price tag, its exceptional performance and seamless integration with my existing Sonos setup make it worth every penny. If you want to take your home theater or audio setup to the next level and feel the rumble in your couch like you’re in a high-end cinema, the Sonos Sub Gen 3 is an absolute must-have. It has transformed my home entertainment experience, and I can’t recommend it enough for fellow audio enthusiasts.

This lil guy is SO powerful. I didnt know bass could have a “crisp” sound but GOLLY when i tell you the sound / deep notes this bass hits are smooth as BUTTER. I would recommend this speaker for a living room that is 700+sq ft with high ceilings. If your space is smaller than that, the mini subwoofer would be a better fit. I’d still highly recommend sticking with Sonos products. The connectivity has never given us issues. Great product.

I thought in would have to compromise the depth of base and surround sound by retiring my 12 inch traditional sub. This was easy to set up. It looks amazing, and the bass surround sound is all enveloping without being overpowering. I don’t have to adjust for music or movies or sports. It finds a way tonput me in the scene and action. Buy it. You will be glad you did.

Impressive deep bass, paired with Sonos Arc soundbar. Together, movies resonates with dimensions unheard previously. Volume is controlled with the Sonos app downloaded on your cellphone or IPad.
Works wirelessly with additional Sonos speakers. Initial setup involves only a few steps using the app.
Appearance - hefty weight with piano black gloss surface. Two large enclosed speakers are facing each other, separated by a center hole. This design really works, the low level bass sounds distinct but not too overwhelming.
Perfect balance for home theaters.

Absolutely fantastic subwoofer. Setup was immediate, just plugged it in and it found my existing Sonos system. Moved to a bigger house, so got this bigger sub to replace my Sonos Sub Mini. The Sub Mini is also amazing, especially for its size and cost, but in a larger room, this larger sub makes a big difference. The ONLY thing to pay attention to, is if you use Sonos True Play tuning. I always use it, and it improves sound in most ways, but I noticed that using True Play with this subwoofer turned the sub volume WAY down. At first I thought the sub was less powerful than my Sub Mini, but then I tried turning off True Play, and this Sub was so good and so loud. I like how True Play makes the rest of the system sound, so I found that keeping True Play on but turning the Sub voluem to +7 made it sound fantastic. Still rating this 5 stars because it sounds SO good, but its a bit frustrating that True Play made this Sub SO quiet without manually turning it up. And it didn't sound BAD without turning it up, just way quieter than I would have liked.

Wow!!
Incredible balanced sound. Better than any movie theater in town. Last year I purchased the Sonos Arc sound bar, 2 100s and one Gen 3 sub. This year I treated myself to a 2nd Gen 3 Sonos Sub. Unbelievably the base and clarity the entire system delivers. I’ve had many sound systems in my lifetime. Sonos has perfected it and by far the best. Not cheap in price. But in the end it’s worth the experience it delivers to your living room. Ez setup. Highly recommend this system.

I have always believed in components to get the true home theater experience but I recently made the jump to the Sonos setup and will not go back. No wires, ease of setup and true sound quality. The construction of these things are unbelievable and the look is very appealing. Also the compact size makes placing these speakers easy.
I know people will say these things are a lot of money but trust me, you will want to spend the money to get this deep, rich bass and the good looks.

The Sonos Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer in White is an excellent addition to any home audio setup. The subwoofer is designed to enhance the bass of your existing speakers, providing a more immersive listening experience. The sound quality is outstanding, with deep, powerful bass that really adds to the overall sound stage.
The subwoofer is very easy to set up, and it seamlessly integrates with other Sonos speakers via the Sonos app. The app also allows you to adjust the bass level to your personal preference. The design of the subwoofer is sleek and modern, it also comes in white color which blends well with most of the home decors.
The wireless feature of the subwoofer is also very convenient, as it eliminates the need for additional cables or wires. The build quality of the subwoofer is very solid and feels durable.
Overall, I highly recommend the Sonos Sub (Gen 3) Wireless Subwoofer to anyone looking to enhance the bass of their existing home audio setup. It's a great investment for music and movie enthusiasts who want to take their listening experience to the next level.

I purchased this to add to a Sonos Arc soundbar and a pair of One SL speakers for small Dolby-ATMOS home theater and am very impressed. The design of the Sub allows it to be placed upright or on its side, whichever best suits your room. The Sonos app very quickly added it to the setup and adjusted the output of the soundbar to optimize the effect of the Sub. It isn't the cheapest way to go, but it definitely delivers great sound.

This is an amazing product that produces high fidelity bass that is pleasing to the ear. This has more than enough power to fill a large room yet adds just enough oomph to music that is played at minimal sound levels. The best feature of course is that this is a super stylish wireless subwoofer.

I`ve been a major Sonos proponent for years, but had never bit the bullet with buying the sub as it always seemed on the pricey side. However, after adding this to my system I can say that it is truly worth the price.
Right out of the box it has that traditional premium Sonos aesthetic and overall feel. Setup was a breeze, similar to all other Sonos products and just after a couple minutes I was up and going through TruPlay.
The actual performance is where this product really stands out. My current setup is an Arc soundbar and two Ones as surrounds and I will say there is a definite difference after adding the sub. I will say that I did go into the app and bump up the sub`s output as it did seem quite muted at first, but after making this minor adjustment it definitely packs a punch.
Overall, I would say if you are on the fence and already have the arc and surrounds this is nearly a must have and for that reason I can definitely recommend this to anyone in the Sonos ecosystem.

The Sonos 3 sub adds a layer of depth to my Sonos system that was missing. It was easy to add to my Sonos system and pair with a Playbar and 2 OneSLs. The sub hits hard with music and rumbles the room in movies. I debated between the Sonos 3 Sub and the Sonos 4 Sub and i'm happy with the Sonos 3 Sub and it saved me $$ compared to the 4.

I have mine paired with my Sonos Arc and boy does this thump if you have it setup correctly! My favorite aspect of this device is that it is only 6 inches wide and I actually have mine hidden inside my love seat! It’s a dual recliner with a center console and it fit right inside!
They just released an update and if you have an additional Gen 2/3 or have access to purchase another Gen 2/3, you can run dual subs!!! Has to be those models or has to work with Sonos S2 app though.
If you are new to Sonos, here a couple things to keep in mind. Sonos does not support Bluetooth, at all. You need WiFi, and good WiFi, to pair this with a beam or an Arc as well as surrounds. This can be no bueno for non-Apple users as it only supports AirPlay over WiFi, you cannot cast Spotify or YouTube, etc. over Bluetooth with Sonos. You also cannot use the Trueplay self-calibration feature on the app without an iPhone or iPad.
Sonos also has no support for DTS whatsoever, so if your Blu-ray player cannot output solely Dolby Audio, you will be SOL with your DTS mastered movies.

Overall we've been pretty happy with the addition of this sub. I purchased it as part of our surround sound system in the media room along with a Sonos Arc and a couple of One SL's. Aesthetically, it's a good looking speaker with an interesting design. Setup was pretty easy, but the pairing sensor didn't work quite as well as the Arc or the One SLs. As for the sound quality, it is suitable for the space and consistent with the demo at the store. It's not the most powerful subwoofer nor is it the cheapest, but it ties in well with the rest of the system and we are generally pleased with the purchase.

Only had for a month but love the sound and feel of the bass. Not over the top, just right and crisp. Setup was super easy, even easier than the setting up the ARC i think. The idea of being able to place anywhere in the room and lose the effect is right as well, in fact, not having it right with the ARC i think enhanced the immersed feeling of the sound. Listening to all genres of music without having to adjust levels is very unique IMO. Even listening to talk shows on SiriusXM like NHLRadio doesn't get drowned out. This is by far the best setup I ever purchased, and I have owned many, from sound bars to full on theater sound systems. LOVE IT and it looks great in the room too.

The Sub (Gen 3) in white looks fantastic—sleek and minimal—and the bass absolutely delivers: deep, tight, and room-filling without muddying the mids. When it’s locked in, the Sonos ecosystem shines.
That said, the Sonos app is the weak link. Initial setup can be finicky, and every so often speakers disconnect between uses and are a headache to reconnect. If you’re patient with the app, the payoff is excellent low end and a great overall sound—just know there may be some app wrangling along the way.

What a great addition to my Sonos system. This sub properly shakes the house for surround sound movies and TV, as well as bass heavy songs. And it’s easy to control through the Sonos app. Turn it off or on, crank up the vibrations, and turn the phase depending on how you place the sub.

It is great to look at, and sounds even better. Set up is a breeze; I had it connected to my Sonos beam within a couple of minutes. It provides deep base without any sort of rattle. I live in an apartment so it adds nice base without shaking the walls. This new version will be supported by Sonos for at least 5 years so no fear of being made redundant.
