One of the sharpest wide angle lenses ever made

Sharp, small, OSS. Best for landscape and architecture. Quite expensive for F4 lens, and it's an older lens. Wish it was F2.8,maybe then the $900 price would be justifiable.

Purchased this to go with my Sony Mirrorless Camera a6000. I love the camera and this lens complemented my collection. I plan to use it for landscape photography when I travel to Yellowstone. So far, have just used it around my home. Excellent photos, easy to capture entire rooms within your home. Very nice lens and can't wait to put it to the test at Yellowstone.

The only Wide Angle Zoom lens for Sony apsc

It's small, lightweight, constant f4, reasonably sharp, and the only wide-angle zoom lens choice currently available for Sony apsc crop-sensor cameras. It is a bit expensive but covers your range from 10-18mm ( Full Frame equivalent 15mm to 27mm) , so you get great coverage from one lens. There are others that are faster (Rokinon and Sigma come to mind), but, as primes, are limited to one field of view. Got a tight space and no room to zoom with your feet (real estate, car interiors, etc) then this is the one for you.

Overall a fantastic lens. Very lightweight and compact making suitable for travel and landscape photography. Also great for interior shots like real estate photography. I’d recommend the lens.
On the other hand it is kind of on the pricey side for what it is. It is a slow yet constant f4 good when enough light is available but not quite suitable for night and or Astro photography.

This is a great addition for when you need a wide angle shot. Would be better if it went down to 4mm but it is a great lens non the less.

Considering this lens is almost ten years old, it works well. I would purchase this lens while it is on sale but not pay the original price of $899.99. Sony just announced a new 10-20mm APS-C lens, but it lacks built-in image stabilization, so if you need that, I would go for this lens instead of the new one.
However, I returned this for the Tamron 11-20mm lens since it is newer. The Tamron also lacks built-in image stabilization, but considering I am using the lens with the a6600, which has it built into the camera, it was a non-issue for me.

Before this lens I was using them Sigma 18-35 ,but the issue I was running into was that it was the lightest lens out there. So I picked up this Sony 10-18 and I'm so glad I did.super clear and Sharp lens and super light with OSS. The wide angle view makes this lens my new all around as a vblog lens.

Purchased this lens to take on an around the world trip due to its versatility and small size. I couldn't be happier with how the pictures came out from everything from safaris (a telephoto would have been more ideal) to hikes. Would definitely recommend.

I always carry this around because you never know what architectural marvel you have to capture. No distortion, easy to snap on, but a bit pricey! Then again, if you are plumping for a Sony, be sure to have a budget large enough to get the full value of your investment.
