I have been using different type of noise cancellation products and all kind of headphones as a pro, and I can say that this is quite the best for the money. Tested for almost 30 hours non stop and had no issues and experienced amazing sound quality. Noise cancellation is quite good as well in a flight environment.

Outstanding in every way except connectivity to multiple devices at the same time e.g. talk on the iPhone and listen to music on Mac without having to disconnect one and connect the other. That doesn't work very well and that's the only reason the product doesn't get 5 stars. But that's a minor issue. I'd still very highly recommend this headphone. I had bought Bose QC 35 ii first and returned it to get this one. Top notch technology and intuitive touch interface. Superb sound and noise cancellation. The iPhone app also gives you a lot of flexibility to change things around. Used in flight too. Very effective and comfy.

The news Beats Studio 3 sound is very good. The noise cancelling is good, but not great. The noise cancelling produces an audible high pitched hiss sound, which I found very distracting when audio was paused or on low volume. The W1 pairing with Mac's was a great feature. In the end, I exchanged these for the Sony WH-1000XM2's.

I would be honest with you guys, I wouldn't haven't rated them 5 stars if I hadn't bought them at black friday price. Sony 1000XM3 are already in the market and they're better than the already brilliant XM2's in every aspect. But then I got them @ Best buy's black friday price and I couldn't be happier. They're more than worth what I paid for them. I'm a guy who listens to lot of different genres of music and I prefer headphones that give me a flat accurate sound rather than bass biased sounds. Contrary to these Sony Headphones will provide a deep thumping but clear bass along with clear highs but without muddy mids. I've compared them side by side with Bose QC35 and Sony wins the sound game hands down, arguably in every genre. Bose headphones do produce pretty accurate sounds but the highs seem to crack pretty often. Xm2's on the other hand will give a mesmerising listening experience without being distracted by the cracking trebly sounds. With that being said, Bose QC 35 look more appealing, offer a superior build quality and more comfortable ear cups. But then Sony makes up for that with the all cool touch gestures, insane battery life, at par noice cancellation ( at times better) and clear mesmerising non cracking sound. If you wanna get these, now is the time during black friday sale. For $199 they're a steal. Otherwise XM3's are better of course.

I've tried the Bose QC 35ii. I've tried the Bowers & Wilkins PX. I stayed with the Sony WH1000 M2. Bose is excellent in comfort and noise cancellation. But, the Sony App is what sold me, along with the sound and excellent noise cancellation. The comfort isn't that bad and the build quality is really good. I like the touch controls on the ear and again the ability to customize the sound to your liking is what did it for me. I do wish Bose could add that feature and since the Sony analyzes the environment constantly to provide excellent sound you just can't lose.

The Sony 1000X noise-canceling headphones were a nice surprise, providing excellent audio quality and noise cancellation equal to other brands I have used including Bose. Easy to configure, charge and program with my cell phone app, the two new features of dynamic noise cancellation and being able to temporarily shut off noise cancellation to hear those around you with a simple touch of the right earpiece are very subtle but practical additions.

I was very impressed with the noise canceling feature. Touch controls work way better than expected. I don't get accidental taps nearly as often as I expected, and it's way more accurate than I expected. The sound quality is great and is very clear and crisp throughout the frequency range. They are very comfortable to wear for hours. I wore them for almost the entirety of a 9 hour car ride. Only thing is they can get a tad bit warm around your ears. Battery life is also very impressive. Overall, they're great headphones, and are actually worth it a good bit.

Offers a lot of features. Has multiple codecs to for the best audio quality over Bluetooth. Can adjust the EQ sound settings. Can adjust the level of noise canceling. Build is good however ear cups may be small or shallow for some ears. Sound is great but not as bass heavy as some other headphones. Noise canceling is on par with Bose, however you can hear the noise canceling in the background when not playing music. Touch controls have not been an issue and have been responsive. Overall a great noise canceling headphones.

These are my favorite wireless headphones. The sound is awesome and noise cancellation(NC) is also really good. I previously owned Beats studio. The NC on those is nearly none existent and volume level was not very good. In my opinion the Sony 1000XM2 are better in every way. I originally bought the beige color but exchanged them for the black color. The only issue I had with them is that the beige was dull and boring. It didn't look like the color on the box. The beige color is so "blah. However the black color is awesome! They look really good!

Really like these headphones. Two main features are standouts compared to my Bose QC25. First, I love that these are wireless. No more getting tangled up with airplane seatbelts! I know the new Bose QC35's are wireless now also, but Bose's noise cancelling doesn't work well with me. So second standout feature is the NC on the 1000x mk11. Bose made my ears feel like they were stuck in a vacuum and were a bit nauseating. Not the Sony's. Noise free audio without the sucking my brains out feeling.

I struggled to pair the headphones via Bluetooth initially. After downloading an app, things were fine. Battery life is pretty good. I do like the sound quality. Noise canceling is effective and nice, but not perfect. I remain surprised how loud the world is after removing these headphones. Not the most comfortable, but not terrible either. I just do NOT like the touch control on the side of the headset. I'm accidentally changing stuff when I grab them. They beep when you do it just as a reminder you did something. No way to avoid the big price tag.

The noise canceling is excellent especially on a plane. Battery lasts quite a while. The over the ear material is nice and soft but like most over the ear headphones it can get a bit sweaty after a while of prolonged use. The phone app is cool to use with the headphones. That's a first for me. Some adjustability but I think the app is more for show as s cool little toy.

I use these headphones every day. I love the noise cancellation feature. From what I have researched the NC is better than the rest. My major complaint is the cheap plastic they use in construction. . The left pivot has weakened due to my large head and now creaks and shifts. It is very distracting. For the price I paid on sale I expect a better product. I have seen other complaints to previous models. It seems they still use cheap construction. I love these headphones but I can't recommend them if they can't last more beyond their warranty.

Used these on a trip to Europe. Flying with these was a pleasant experience in their ability to cancel noise and overall comfort for long haul. They are better than the beats in my opinion in terms of how they fold but only time will show if they are better than my legacy bose and samsung level ones

I own these and sennheiser pxc500. These are clear cut better in every way. These Sony's sound much better and now has an app to customize the sound which last year's Sony model did not have. The noise cancelling is also much better. The sennheisers don't block out as much noise and sometimes gave me a slight headache. I also like the touch gestures on these which made me choose these over their top rival Bose QC35.

These are a great replacement to my prior headphones (Bose). The noise canceling feature is solid and the quick touch to allow for ambient sounds to be heard is a great addition to the technology. They are working great and I recommend them to people seeking multi-function blue-tooth capabilities.

I have never owned or tried noise-canceling headphones before, and these Sony headphones have exceeded my expectations! The noise-canceling feature allows you to listen to music or podcasts at a much lower volume than regular headphones without sacrificing sound quality. I highly recommend these headphones!!!

I bought these after trying several pairs of Bose, Beats, and the B&W H9s. The noise canceling is fantastic - in Best Buy on Black Friday, these tuned out everything, sounded great, and were comfortable to boot. The app makes customizing them a breeze, and I love how the headphones work passively if I run out of battery. Only complaint I'd that the case doesn't have space for the cable if needed, but it has space for the airline adapter...?!?!
