Great light weight travel lens

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.With Sony cameras it a good travel lens, you do have trade offs though, it’s all electronic, feels a little mushy but it’s has a great range and is supper sharp. For a light weight video rig it can’t be beat.

These new Sony lens work for my a7s cameras great. I hope to buy more Sony Lenses in the future. With all these new Sony Lenses on the market, Canon and Panasonic should be very concerned.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After testing out the 3 all-in-one Sony E mount zoom lenses on my Sony A7ii, this is far and away my favorite. Beautiful clarity & depth on variety of lighting & distances. Appreciated the ability to go manual or use the excruciatingly slow power zoom, which was great for videos but frustrating for trying to capture normal life. This is my choice for everyday lens for nature & wildlife. Comparing this with the Sony 24-240, shooting 200 on the power zoom blows away the 240 on clarity, when I found I could easily read a distant detailed sign using the power zoom, but nowhere near as well with the 24-240. Appreciate having stabilizing in the lens.
