3 weeks after installing it lost connection and say "please wait". It will not do anything... waiting on customer service to respond... Guess I will be going back to Best Buy and returning if I can.

It's is far better then my tv speaker and music sounds great. Only flaw is the connection does not always work when switching HDMI channels. I'm forced to turn it off and restart the speaker

After reading all of the positive reviews on this sound bar, not just on Best Buy, but across the internet, I had to experience it for myself. They weren't wrong - this thing rocks! Yes, it's a little more well suited for music than movie dialogue and the sound spacing could be better, in terms of left/right separation, but overall, for the money (compared to a Sonos or Bose at $1200+) it kicks out the bass and delivers crystal clear, powerful audio. I've not experienced any of the wireless sub connection issues others have mentioned. The one thing that is a little too complicated is setting the audio connection across different devices - making sure the audio is routed the right way, but once you get that down, you're golden.

When I decided that I wanted a soundbar for my TV, I started to look around to see what I thought might be some good features to have. The one thing that I quickly saw that I wanted is a system that has HDMI ARC, which would allow for the audio system to be controlled by the TV. However, after digging deeper I saw that most ARC-capable soundbars used HDMI 1.4 ports that were not HDCP 2.2 capable. This means that whatever input you connected to the soundbar would not be able to send video to the TV in 4k. As 4k TVs are ubiquitous now, this seems like a bad design decision. Fortunately, this Sony soundbar is HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 capable and it has three HDMI inputs. This gives your TV an additional two HDMI inputs if you need them, which is a nice feature to have. Pros: - As expanded above, HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 ports so 4k HDR content can be pushed through the HDMI ARC port. - Dead simple setup and use. Plug the sub in, plug the main soundbar in and if you'd like the wifi features walk through that on the TV. HDMI CEC is turned on by default on the soundbar, so after that you can use the TV remote for most functionality. - Spotify integration is a nice feature to have. Neutral: - I'm not an audiophile so when it comes to the sound I'll say that the system is much better than my TV speakers but doesn't knock my socks off. I'm sure there are much better reviews of this system's sound elsewhere online. Cons: - I think this is more a con of HDMI CEC, but I wish that control of the three inputs on the soundbar would flow through to the TV. As it is, if you want to switch from one to another you must use the soundbar remote.

Good soundbar, cheap sub setup. Limited settings.

The soundbar sounds good. It is a little bright but still 9/10 SQ. The subwoofer is lightweight, but actually sounds decent. The problem I've is that there is no tuning/crossover options for subwoofer, it cuts on randomly as it detects bass. Eg. If I'm watching the news and a deep voice begins speaking, the sub 'jumps' in, it's not a smooth transition and my SW volume is on 1. I put the sub all the way across the living room and I still hear it cut in and out. I've gone back to my standalone sub...no other use for this one as connection is Sony wireless, no buttons on the sub at all.
