    Stay away. This was purchased to sync with a SONY Bravia TV poor instructions and experience

    disspointed in sound and set-up

    I purchased the Sony 2,1 on sale ($299.99) after trying out 2-different Bose systems. I was hoping it would have the deep sound that I have been looking for. I was terribly disappointed when I finally got through their "Easy Set-up" 4hrs later, The new Samsung 4K/LEDUHDTV and the Sony wouldn't play nice together Guess the Samsung TV is not that smart. When I finally got them to sync, the Sony system didn't sound any better than the TV speakers. Do yourself a favor and save up the money and upgrade to 5.1 system.

    This is our 1st sound bar. Having it connected to the TV makes a huge difference. Have been at friends' homes where the sound bar isn't wired and the sound doesn't sync with what's happening in the TV. This has excellent sound and always in sync with whatever we are watching. Makes a huge difference. Also play music through it!

    Greatly Disappointed

    I bought this product six months ago. Magnolia installed. Soundbar worked ok until about a week ago. Now the sound is badly out of sync with the picture. Following the manual's instructions haven't helped. Soundbar now also takes upwards of 5 minutes to start and shut down (used to be 1-2 seconds). Best Buy/Magnolia wants $150 to send someone to troubleshoot this defective device they sold me, half of the cost of a new unit and no guarantee of a fix.

    Stay Away From This Sony Sound Bar

    I purchased this sound bar only 3 months ago and it has stopped functioning. I have tried the hard reset by holding down the vol - and power buttons. I have manually updated the firmware yet the issues persist. The sound bar will turn on but one of two things will happen: no audio will come out or the sound will come out but the audio wont be synched up with the video on the screen. On top of this, the system response time becomes very slow and the menu screen will not show up at all. This sync issue exists no matter what you are trying to watch on TV: streaming, cable, video games, all off sync. Troubleshooting the issues for the sound bar have also proved fruitless The only fix that I have found that seems to fix the issue is to return the product and avoid this line of Sony products. I will be following suit.

    Great sound through ARC and HDMI's

    Purchased High End soundbar from another manufacturer. Never could get Voices and Video in sync. Very disappointed. I let return time pass before realizing I was never going to get decent sound. Decided to eat the almost 1K price tag. Gave it away. I was that disappointed with it. This Sony soundbar setup was easy right out of the box. I'm more than happy and have been recommending it to friends. Using ARC connection to 4K Sony TV and it produces fantastic sound and video. Buy this one. Highly recommend.
