Bought this on sale for $ $119. Makes a huge difference. The Bluetooth feature is pretty neat. Watching a good war movie it shakes the house.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear the great sound quality produced by the sound bar. The base is rich and compliments the TV speakers nicely.

You get a premium high end product for an amazing price. You can easily compare this to something that can easily be priced well over 300$. I bought a refurbished version and it was as if never even opened. Very satisfied. Only wish tv sound would be a bit louder but music playback is unmatched!!

This was a perfection addition for xbr43x800d TV, easy to hookup, Bluetooth, ability to cast music to it and NFC. VERY VERY PLEASED

Looking for a compact solution for a sound system in a small sized room, I spotted this little guy and was curious to how it sounded. I needed a bit more kick in audio as the speakers in my television are not the best. Getting a demonstration from one of the associates in store, the unit seemed to play the demo music quite well, which was to be expected. But, what I didn't expect was that the demo unit was set to allow me to demo my own music! Testing out some jazz, some rock, some R&B, and everything in between from my phone via Bluetooth, and I was sold. I even tried streaming something from the internet and then Bluetooth it from my phone, and it still sounded great. The added bonus? The associate told me that if I wanted to boost the sound, I could buy Sony wireless speakers that would pair up with the unit and create a virtual surround sound. Now that was a shock indeed as that is something I didn't expect. The only drawback on that was that the speakers were more than the sound system, but from what I learned, the speakers are compatible with other Sony soundbar products. Thus, if I upgraded, they could possibly be used in an upgraded system. Don't let this sound system fool you. It is 2.1 indeed, as there is a subwoofer built in on the unit. The design of the system has enough lift that it provides space for a subwoofer to provide bass without it being too powerful. Although you can kick it up pretty high, I don't know if I could recommend that if you place this on a glass stand. And, my television fit right on top. According to the directions (and no you don't need to read directions for setup, but you should always read the manual or diagrams to not miss anything) it looks like it will support a decent size television. Just check your weight of the television because a too heavy television will damage it. Add some network support for streaming music capabilities and a simple to use Graphical User Interface, and it is a pretty solid purchase! Thanks Sony, you restored my faith in what you do for sound!

I bough this soundbar because it complemented my SONY TV and it made a world of a difference in sound. Easy install and setup!

TV nowadays doesn't have room for speakers. Get one of these and it makes a world of difference. A little finicky at times if you turn the tv on first, you need to turn on the soundboard and wait for it to connect.

By allowing the TV to sit on top of the soundbar it solved a problem better than any other alternative. It has good sound for a relatively small room and is serving its purpose quite well. If you can't fit a soundbar in front of your TV check this out as an excellent solution.

I thought that would be nice easy addition to my Sony TV, but it did not sync up as well as I would have thought. I think that the issue is more the Direct TV connect not the Sound Bar. I am making adjustments to it and the quality is good for the price.

Excellent sound for a large living room!! Has a lot of features and the set up was real easy!

The instructions say you can use an HDMI cable to connect sound. But we could not get it to work. We had to buy an optic cable to install the bar. Love the sound though.

I have Sony TV that's a couple years old and the speakers weren't that great. We found ourselves increasing the volume to almost 80% of max and then we would distortion. Decided to try a soundbar, went with a cheaper one has this was in a smaller family room and really because the TV can sit on top of it. Personally, I don't like it, it does sound better, no distortion or static, I would have preferred a higher quality one. NFC pairing is fast, don't expect to get any kind of decent bass out of this either. The volume controls from my Sony TV did not control the volumn of this soundbar. Then again, TV is 2-3 years old.

This as a great addition for my bedroom. My only issue is it is a little big but I have been quite pleasantly surprised by the sound quality, especially for the price.

Simple set up, great sound. This is a big space saver with the sub built in.

A representative in the store said this is more than just a sound bar and at the time I didn't appreciate what he was telling me. Although accessing some of this unit's features can be "tricky", it does provide many features that a conventional sound bar does not offer. Example, the unit has the capability of transmitting Bluetooth signal so you can connect Bluetooth headphones or speakers. Although you need Sony speakers to access the surround sound feature, it does provide nice surround sound for the money. After getting use to the steps of setting things up, I have thoroughly enjoyed having this addition to my entertainment set-up.

I bought this for my bedroom and it works like a charm, great sound. It might be good as well for a medium living room. Sound is great, the sub is actually very clear even tho is integrated to the system. The system itself is not that small, I have it under my Sony 55" and it holds wonderfully.

This soundbar worked perfectly for my situation. Being able to put a tv on top of it was perfect! It is not the loudest soundbar, and slightly lacking in overall bass, but for the money is nice!
