I was a little worried about sound quality since it's in one unit. However, when I hooked it up, I was amazed! No, it's not a TRUE cinema experience that 7.1 will give you, but for what it is, it's amazing. I'm in an apartment and it's just enough. The case is glass and I love that my Sony TV can sit on top which saves space. So glad I purchased!

Sound is great for the most part, but I need more help with the instructions as the remote has lots of buttons that I don't know how to use. Not user friendly unless you are a techy! I'm not.

I was worried about replacing my old surround sound system with a single component, but this item has lived up to my expectations. Would recommend if you are not looking for extreme base.

This speaker is by no means comparable to a surround sound system or even a 2.1 sound bar and sub-woofer, but if you have limited space and want to upgrade the sound that comes from your TV speakers (usually tinny) then this is a great compromise. It only has one sub-woofer pointing down and it doesn't have deep base, but the sound is much "richer" than what the TV speakers produce. It also has wireless screen mirroring as well as the ability to play most common video and audio files from either a USB stick or on a networked computer. The setup was a breeze since you can plug this speaker into a spare HDMI slot to see the onscreen setup menu.

Lacks punch for a big room as noted in previous reviews but perfect for my application. Easy to set up and use. Definitely entry level but so was the price. Good value.

Salesman, Josh, recommended a sound bar to improve dialog and music coming from my new Sony tv. Really upgrades the listening experience, especially for my aging ears. Allows clearer listening at a lower overall volume. Glad I bought it.

This unit is in my music room with another Sony 32" TV. The pair sound great in this smaller room together.

I find it incredible that newer TVs have such lame sound systems! It looks like the manufacturer's sacrifice this feature so they can make the TV with an ultra-thin cabinet. My SONY 40" TV had tiny speakers that face down. Needless to say they had a tinny sound and it was hard to understand what people were saying. Even the sound enhancement within the TV didn't improve matters. I bought this sound bar because it was in one piece and had 170 watts of power. I have to say, the bass on this unit is decent. The treble is still a bit off (it sometimes has a "hollow" echo sound even when I change the sound pattern to movie). Another reason I selected this sound bar is the ability to add bluetooth speakers for true surround sound. I haven't done this yet and it may improve the treble. Lastly, I really like the fact the TV sits well on top of the sound unit. This allows me to have both inside my cabinet. Overall, for me (who doesn't have a large living room) this sound system is great.

My first experience beyond HD TV. Purchased a Soundbar based on recommendation of awesome Geek Squad technician who installed a Sony Smart TV. Sound is nothing short of AMAZING!! Thank you Best Buy and Geek Squad (Andyvu!!).

great sound system just too bad sony decided to go with only one subwoofer instead of 2 like in the previous model but still it's a good speaker

This is an awesome soundbar. I can definitely make the living room livelier than the stock speakers from the TV. However, the base doesn't sound too good on a glass TV stand because it shakes my TV stand. Too bad it was not compatible with the setup that I have at home. :(

I love the theater sound I get when watching a DVD or even a TV movie. Just enough for an apartment without bothering my neighbors.

This is attached to a Samsung TV, not the one I just bought. It stopped working for awhile and I called Sony. I worked with them to get the sound to come out again. Now the sound is working and it is hooked up somewhat to my cable remote, however, I can't mute my TV or turn it down past 8 with either remote. That's annoying. May call Sony again but don't want to lose the connection between the TV and speaker.

The Sony sound bar/system is absolutely amazing. Great sound and it doubles as a tv stand. You can add wireless speakers to it in the future. The subwoofer has some really good kick to it as wel.

Bought this as a Christmas gift. Previous versions of Fit Bit were not "manly" enough, but this option looks great. Perfect size and lots of options. Having time displayed all the time is great so this can be multi-purpose and be used in place of watch.

I love Sony products and I have a Bose sound system in the other room. They both sound great. This unit is much better than I expected and my wife is always telling me to turn it down. Rock on

Needed this to upgrade the sound of my bedroom 40" LG. I needed the extra bass and highs that the TV lacked. Now watching TV is enjoyable. It can access your music library it has WIFI 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz which was a surprise. Worth it.

This soundbar has good quality sound. This product is a good value for the money. I would recommend this product.
