    Great for wildlife shooting. It's heavy so will be good to bring a tripod along if you are planning to use it for a long time.

    Pros: * In combination with latest Alpha bodies, this is the ultimate lens for birding, wildlife and aviation spotting, both in terms of optical quality and auto focus performance. * Strap mounted on the lens itself is ingenious, as you can imagine, having this hanging on an Alpha body would probably rip it apart. Cons: * Its size limits the choice of pouches, bags and cases, as it doesn't fit into anything designed for 150-600mm lenses.

    I bought this as a replacement to my Sony Alpha 70-400. The lens fits my Sony A7RIII and after I got used to carrying a bigger lens, it fits me perfectly. The photos are sharp. I did replace the foot with an Acrc-type foot that mounts to my tripod. I also use a black rapid strap that screws into the replacement foot so I can carry the lens easily to my side. Since it is a little bit heavy, this protects the camera.

    I have been loving this lens, though it is large and heavy. I was going to use it to replace my Sigma 100-400mm but ended up keeping both as the the 100-400 is way easier to travel with and keep the 200-600 for specific wildlife trips. It seems to focus better and faster, and gets the reach with even a little sharper photos.

    One powerful lens. II use it with the Sony A7rIV and I absolutely love it. It takes some getting used to, but well worth the money since the 600 is only $11,000.00 more.

    This lens is plenty sharp. Compared to the 100-400GM in the real world differences are minimal. Solid construction, nice physical controls, best e Mount super telephoto that doesn’t cost 12k.

    Overall, this is a great lens that hits 9 out of 10 times on focus which is great. It definitely meets my requirements and is a great wildlife lens! I definitely recommend buying a camo wrap for it for protection. Also, make sure to work your muscles because this is a beast!
