Customers recognize the 27" INZONE M3 monitor's exceptional refresh rate and vibrant picture quality as significant strengths, frequently praising the smooth gameplay and impressive visuals. However, many users express dissatisfaction with the monitor's integrated speakers and the somewhat limited adjustability of its stand. The monitor's price point also drew some criticism.

While I realize this is a gaming monitor, I use my computer for both gaming as well as productivity and other purposes. Therefore, expectations are high when I purchase a monitor. The assumption is that, if the monitor can do gaming well, then it should be able to accommodate another other use for me. Unfortunately, that assumption is flawed in respect to this monitor.
Again, the picture is beautiful and the motion is smooth (as one would expect of a IPS monitor with 1ms GtG [grey to grey] and 240Hz refresh rate). Additionally, the monitor has slim bezels; the stand is unique and looks better than I thought it would on my desk (when compared to the pictures), is very easy to assemble (only two screws required and the monitor clips on to the stand easily), and does a decent job of cable management; the joystick controls on the rear of the monitor are relatively simple and intuitive to use; there are several input options (2 HDMI and 1 DisplayPort); it has a built-in USB hub; and the box included a HDMI cable.
For gaming, the screen is gorgeous to look at with nice colors, good brightness (400 cd/m2 per the specs), and HDR10 support.
Beyond those points, however, I cannot help but feel disappointed with the monitor.
To begin, the screen is 27" at a price point of over $500. When compared to other gaming monitors with 1ms and higher refresh rates, this is not necessarily a bad price. (It is pretty competitive given my research, actually.) In comparison to other monitors that are not necessarily gaming monitors, but are arguably still acceptable for all but the most hardcore gamers, $500 is pretty expensive for a 27" non-4K monitor. (Yep... This is a 1080p monitor, not 4K.) I use a 32" 4K monitor as my primary screen on another computer and this 27" screen is somewhat disappointing in comparison given the loss of those 5".
The stand is unique, but depending on how high you have the monitor, there is a considerable (8"+) gap between the back of the monitor and the wall. If you like having your monitor as far back on your workstation (next to the wall) as possible, that may not be in the cards here if you keep the monitor low. Along somewhat similar lines, the monitor moves up-and-down, and can pivot forward-and-back along a single y-axis. The stand does not allow you to pivot the monitor horizontally (along the x-axis), nor are you able to rotate the monitor from its landscape orientation (portrait is not available).
Another issue I noticed is that the monitor apparently does not have a standby mode. When my computer goes into standby, the monitor remains on. (It searches for other inputs for a while and then sits there with an illuminated black screen.) While this seems odd and wasteful (from an energy/electricity use perspective), it is also quite annoying if the screen is in the same room where you sleep. Yes, the screen is black, but it is still backlit and quite noticeable in a dark room.
I also found myself slightly disappointed at the size of the power brick, which was pretty big. While you can obviously set the power brick on the floor or some place out of the way, I also found it odd that the power cord that runs from the power brick to the electrical outlet was only about a foot or so in length, which actually limits where you can put the power brick because it will need to be within close proximity of an outlet (unless you want to run an extension cord).
Beyond all that, probably the most disappointing thing of this monitor is the sound. The monitor includes two 2W speakers projected out the rear of the monitor. Simply stated, the speakers on my laptop are better than these speakers. They sound "tinny" and "hollow" without any bass or substance to them. If anyone remembers the early days of PCs when they included a speaker within the PC case so that the BIOS could beep codes to help troubleshoot, that's about the quality of these speakers. While I doubt anyone who invests in a gaming monitor of this kind would rely upon speakers within the monitor for their audio, if that is indeed your plan, I would strongly suggest against it as these speakers are, for lack of a better word, horrible in my opinion. I suppose they may be a convenience feature, but that is really the only positive thing I can say about these internal speakers.
So... Is this monitor worth the money? I guess that depends upon your perspective and needs. If you are looking for a 27" 1080p (non-4K) monitor with awesome responsiveness, crisp colors, good brightness, and thin bezels with a stand that provides very little flexibility besides up, down, and vertical pivot, this is a good monitor at the price point. If you need a monitor with good built-in speakers, the ability to pivot the monitor horizontally or use it in portrait mode, or you prefer that the monitor place itself into standby mode when your computer does, then you are probably better off looking elsewhere.
Thus, 3-stars. 5-stars for the picture quality and related features. 1 to 2-stars for everything else I mentioned. I cannot help but feel that the pursuit of 1ms GtG and 240HZ refresh speed is at the cost of too many compromises in other areas.

My previous setup was 3 ASUS 24" 144hz Monitors on a desk mount.
This is a nice bump to 240Hz.
My gaming preferences have changed lately and I'm going more away from driving and flying sims to more strategy, FPS and "factory" type games.
With that being the case I wanted to just go with 1 monitor for my new gaming laptop and PS5.
I wanted to make sure I had something that that would have great response time and as little lag as possible.
The Sony M3 delivered.
The look of the monitor is basically a call to the PS5 in my opinion and sits very nice along side each other.
My only issue I thought I had and it's minor, was the stand. It seemed a little wonky and unstable at first but after setting it all up it has been fine. The stand has a channel to feed your cables through and is a great touch. The stand allows for full height and tilt adjustments.
I fired up my main games which included some ARMA 3 and the response time has been fantastic and the visuals overall are awesome.
The monitor comes with 2 HDMI ports a Display port, USB-C and USB ports.
Having my first new monitor in about 5 years I am very happy with this one and Sony has made me very happy.

This monitor is for the fast-paced FPS Shooter style or E-Sports Gamer. The 240 Hz monitor is a big step up for anyone who hasn't used one. No screen tearing and things load quickly and smoothly. So let's jump into the monitor. The adjustment settings are a joystick-styled knob. It has decent and noticeable clicks of adjustments. You can download the app and adjust the setting as well. The weight of the monitor is not that heavy. It sits on a monitor arm via VESA mount fine.
The monitor itself has different profile styles. A standard, gaming, third style, and two custom modes. I prefer to select the custom since you can adjust settings to your likeness. It also has an auto adjust and can tell if you are playing games or whatnot. I never used this mode since I prefer manual controls. The Brightness is a plus for this monitor. It's not getting close to 1000 nits but its style has good brightness for my taste. After getting it adjusted the colors do pop out in SDR mode. The colors vibrant and attract the eyes. I didn't notice any dead pixels or bleeding on the edges.
There is an abundance of ports. Two HDMI, Display Port, USB-A, and USB-C. No HDMI cable was included which is just down right dirty. They did include a Display Port cord which was neat. The Monitor looks great, I dig the white backing.
Yet, there are some negatives with this monitor. The biggest one is 1080p. I think if this was in 1440p this would have been exceptional. I know a lot of people still game in 1080p but this is decreasing. With a 27' screen 1440 would have been great. The 1080p is just a little behind in 2023. The other negative is the garbage stand that comes with the monitor. It has very little adjustment for a stand. Just up and down. There is no tilt or swiveling. Also, the stand takes up too much desk space. Put this thing on a VESA mount. Speakers are the worst I have ever heard but who listens with monitor speakers? The HDR 400 is just terrible. It sounds good on paper but Trust me you will want to keep this thing in SDR. HDR 400 is a waste and looks bad.
Outside of the no 1440P which you know that if you want this monitor. The stand which the monitor can be put on a VESA mount. Bad speakers, most use a headset. Nobody uses HDR400 These negatives still make this a good monitor for its main purpose. Gaming! That is the focus of this Monitor! It does a fantastic job at that!

I need to get one thing off of my chest. I love Sony products. This is one of those products that doesn't make sense when you look at specs and price, However, one thing Sony is incredible at is making a plug and play consumer product that provides a high quality experience. The resolution for this price is what is concerning to me. There are a ton of 1440p panels out there you with 240Hz refresh rate for similar and cheaper prices. Somehow though. Sony has some secret sauce in its kitchen when it comes to calibrating their screens, because for a 1080P panel. They can calibrate a screen better than anyone else out there. The image quality is incredible. Darks and lights do not bleed into each other, and overall I love the quality of the image for a 1080P panel. The build quality of the materials is great. If you do not have a large desk beware of the stand. It takes up a big footprint. I think they wanted it to be apart of its design. The center foot is kind of cool cuz is looks like a tiny PS5 is holding up your monitor. The bezels are very small I do not even notice them. I do not have a PS5 yet so I could not try out any of the secret compatibility features the paperwork inside says are between the system and screen. Hopefully someone else can expand on what those are. This is a very expensive product for a 1080P panel but Sony doesn't make a product with low quality and I expect a large part of their build of materials cost was in sourcing a high quality Panel to meet their cinema and gaming standards. The processor supporting the panel also needed to be high quality to maintain such a great image even at a 240Hz refresh rate. I do not see any screen tearing or hiccups.

I have had experience with many different sized monitors, styles, and pixels and graphics. When I see a product from Sony, I usually jump at the chance to use it with my existing technology which includes PS5. However, I just don't get this monitor and actually scratch my head at the not only the price point of this device but what it does differently from a run of the mill gaming monitor that is most likely half the cost.
First off this monitor is white in color which is supposed to match your PS5 system, I get it, however its an odd color scheme for any monitor. Secondly, the stand its built on is a weird tripod triangle stand that is cumbersome to install and looks like it is not able to support the gigantic heavy weight this monitor portrays. The 27 inches is a cinderblock of weight and the monitor although just 27 inches looks actually larger since the stand is three plastic pieces welded together. The ease of use of this monitor is ok and I guess using it with my PS5 was cool and all but there is no way I feel this monitor is any different than my Samsung gaming monitor which costs less than half of these monitor. This monitor has some fancy inzone technology, however it does not seem worth the upleveling for this device.

The Sony Inzone M3 is a quality monitor, don't get me wrong, but it is an HD monitor at a QHD price point. Price not considered, this is a great monitor and takes all games I've played so far to the next level in looks compared to my very old monitor and the laptop screen. I really love having a 240hz monitor. It makes a noticeable difference compared to gaming on older monitors and tvs.
It took a while to get the picture dialed in as the HDR made the everything really dark to start when playing Cyberpunk 2077 on my gaming laptop. Once I did though, the picture is fantastic. I ended up going with Game Mode 2 and adjusting from there to my preferences. The monitor gets really bright which is great for my home office/gaming room that can be bright during the day. One issue I found is every time I turn the monitor on, it switches back to Game Mode 1 which makes all text super blurry and looks awful. So I have to switch back to Game Mode 2 every time. At least the menus are very easy to navigate with the joystick on the back.
The speakers on this thing are just not good at all. I'm not even sure why Sony included speakers on a monitor to begin with. Seems like a waste of space that could've reduced materials, the thickness on the monitor, and the cost.
I've seen some rumblings about the stand being too large, but I like the looks of it and the ease of adjusting the tilt and height of the screen.
Overall I would recommend this monitor, just don't expect to use the built in speakers.

I tend to judge monitors on the quality of the display itself more than the aesthetics. Coming at this purely from an image quality standpoint, I have to say that I’m impressed. This monitor has a very sharp image quality. The color saturation and accuracy are excellent. It does everything you’d expect from a 1080 240hz monitor. Very smooth, crisp, engaging experience for gaming and multimedia. I’ve seen a few complaints about it only being 1080 vs 1440, but I really don’t mind. Most things are still built around 1080 and it’s hard to see much difference between the two. I will say that it’s pricey for 1080 and that could keep some people away, but I think the quality matches the cost for the most part. If I were rating this 100% on image it would be 5 stars. However, there are a few drawbacks that I can’t ignore completely.
The stand…ugh…the stand is just plain awful from a functionality standpoint. Does it look interesting? Does it go well with PS 5 styling? Sure, but it’s virtual unusable. It takes up a ton of space due it’s tripod design. It moves up and down the center leg, has a little bit of tile, but will NOT rotate at all. It’s really just a terrible design on an otherwise outstanding monitor. I would highly recommend that you plan on getting a monitor arm to mount it too unless you have a lot of real estate to play with on your desk.
I didn’t love navigating the settings from the buttons on the monitor. It’s not terrible, but not great either. I think there is some software you can get to manage it from your computer but I didn’t bother. I don’t tend to change settings much once I get it where I want it.
The last thing that kind of bothered me is the brightness. Let me be clear that the image quality is outstanding. It really looks great when you have the brightness turned down. It looks WAY better than my other 27 1080 240 with the brightness set low. The problem is that it doesn’t get bright enough when I crank it up. It’s not like it’s unusable or anything, but compared to my other 27, it just isn’t as bright as I’d like it on sunny days when I have my curtains open. If you game in a low light area you will love it. If you game in a bright sunny area, you might be slightly disappointed.
It comes with a display port cable. That’s probably the best connection option for PC if you have an open port on your GPU. Keep in mind that PS5 doesn’t have display port, so you’ll want to pick up an HDMI 2.1 cable to get the full PS 5 experience.
I definitely like it, and the image quality is so good that even with the things I didn’t like, I’m willing to give it 4 stars and recommend it. I do hope people read some of these reviews before they purchase such an expensive monitor. This one isn’t for everyone.

This 1080p 240hz monitor is top of the line

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.
The colors are popping and with 240hz it doesn't skip a beat when matched with a newer GPU w/ Gsync compatability.
It has a pretty stylish ps5 reminiscent stand, and has many built in features, honestly for a 1080p monitor, this thing is definitely one to beat!
I only wish I had a ps5 to pair up with this monitor to see the full features offered specifically for the ps5 console...
Pros: Super Fast 240hz refresh rate, adding that edge in online gaming...
Huge color profile, sharp vivid images pop out at you and look super clean.
Many many features out of the box and then some, allowing for fine tuning and pairing with a ps5 console if you have one.
So many ports on this thing, you question if its a monitor or the back of a computer
(Display Port 1.4, HDMI 2.1, USB C, USB B, USB A, and a Headphone jack) pretty much allowing all your cabling needs to come straight through this monitor.
Cons: Honestly the only cons i can put here are the following, which are merely cosmetic:
The thickness of the monitor is slightly more so then a lot of the other newer monitors I currently own, which would make it difficult to pair with a dual arm stand unless you bought two of these exact units.
The stand that comes with the monitor, while stylish and very well made and would 100% pair up nicely with a ps5, on a separate desk...
Well it's very awkward to say the least.
Sony took something that is very standard with the stand, and tried making it their own style. Which would work well as i said by itself, with a console,
But on my desk where i have a keyboard, mouse, table mic, cameras etc, already taking up real estate on my desk, putting this stand on there takes a lot of extra room away from my already congested area of play.
I would suggest mounting this on a standalone pole or arm with standard monitor vesa sizing to regain that room the stand will remove,
I should also mention I am 6'5" and the monitor only goes so high on the stand, it motions down well and functions as it should but is not remotely close enough to the height I personally need to avoid neck strain, so again at this point I would suggest a stand alone pole/mount for this situation to remedy this simple problem.
Overall: I would recommend this monitor to anyone looking for a 240hz 1080p HDR gaming monitor, with so many inputs you could make this your center attraction, helping to keep wire management very well intact.
The units colors are very good, the brights and darks feel right and the response of the unit is super fast.
Having a ps5 would just be the cherry on top of the cake with this monitor housing multiple additional features that utilize the pairing of the two, and not to mention having
this unit as a stand alone monitor for your ps5 would look sweet together as it is very sleek like you would imagine a sony product to look.
Gaming on this monitor feels pretty good, and if you have the chance to play on this monitor I would give it a shot...

Great Gaming Monitor

Unboxing the Sony INZONE M3 you’ll find the monitor and stand unassembled, a 4ft power cord with sizable AC power supply, a 6ft DisplayPort cord, and miscellaneous documentation.
The monitor and stand are easy to assemble, though not toolless (requires a Phillips head screwdriver, not included). Once assembled, the monitor and stand have a unique, attractive solid-feeling design that allows for plenty of adjustment (vertical height and tilt back) with a minimal footprint that offers usable space under the monitor.
The face of the monitor features an anti-glare finish and minimal bezel. On the back, you’ll find the physical power button and On-Screen Display (OSD) navigation rocker as well as an array of ports (2x HDMI 2.1, 1x DisplayPort 1.4, 3x USB-A, 1x USB-B, 1x USB-C).
Tested with an Alienware gaming laptop, games felt great to play with the 240hz enabled. There was no noticeable latency and no tearing. With the HDR enabled, colors were vibrant and there was more than enough brightness available.
The onboard speakers are fairly disappointing. The sound is tinny and offers little stereo separation.
The OSD menu settings are easy to navigate and include various gaming assist options like on-screen crosshairs, timers, a frame rate counter, variable refresh rate, response time options, and black equalizer.
At the end of the day, apart from the speakers, the Sony INZONE M3 monitor is a great gaming monitor that will not disappoint.

I actually already have a fairly new gaming monitor that I love. Like the Sony INZONE M3, it provides for both HDMI and DisplayPort connections, its response time is 1 ms, the brightness is 400 nits, it provides for an extensive range of viewing angles, and it is G-sync compatible. I never had problems with screen tearing or stuttering with my fastest video games on my older monitor. And, on sale, it was only half the price of the Sony INZONE M3. However, it is only 24.5" compared to 27" for the M3, and, most importantly, the refresh rate was the old standard 144Hz for gaming monitors rather than 240Hz for the M3. I am always after the latest and greatest in all technology, so I decided to go for the Sony INZONE M3. With all of my display connection options, I thought I might end up using a dual monitor setup.
However, the display quality of the 240Hz Sony INZONE M3 is just so superior to my older monitor that I quickly gave up the idea of a dual monitor setup. The Sony is all I need right now. The picture quality is just gorgeous. The speakers are nothing to write home about, but my older monitor did not even have speakers, so I will continue to use my external computer speakers. The M3 does have a stereo 3.5 mm output jack if you want to connect a headset to it. In addition to the 2 HDMI and DisplayPort jacks, it also has USB-A, USB-B, and USB-C inputs. How crazy is that? I can't comment on the G-sync compatibility because my current gaming system uses an Intel Arc 750, nor can I say anything about the special Auto HDR Tone Mapping3 and Auto Genre Picture Mode features for the Playstation 5 because I do not have a PS5. But if you do, you will probably appreciate this monitor even more than I do. Which is to say, you will be thrilled. When it comes to video quality, the Sony engineers really know what they are doing.

Simply put, this monitor has the same great Sony quality with great crispy clear graphics. With the PS5, you don’t have to make any adjustments, i even tried the Xbox on it. Not bad at all. More than likely tho, it will be used more with the gaming PC.
Pros-
Gameplay looks and plays good, no lag
Clean bezel
No customization = plug and play, well view
The stand
Not heavy
Two HDMI 2.1 ports
240hz

Cons
Speakers
Size - The size is good but not on a small gaming desk. The monitor itself takes up the whole table so if you have small gaming desk, it fit well.
Nothing really too much with the Cons, more personal preferences. This is a great monitor overall. Quality does not lack on this Full HD. The fast refresh rates helped with games like Battlefield that I was playing. Like I mentioned, no game lag and no blur might I add.
Great colors, connects with the PS5 out the box. The tilting and moving of the screen. Oh it also has 3 usb ports. Again, this will be used more with my PC games vs the PS5.
Get it

The Sony INZONE M3 is a good gaming monitor option. I like the sleek design and the aesthetic goes well if you are pairing it with a PlayStation 5. The tripod base makes it feel like the desk is less cluttered but it's easy for it to fall off the desk if one of those legs goes off the back. Speaking to the base, I like the ease of sliding the monitor up and down and adjusting the angle. I think to help with the desk tumble concern a third degree of motion to be able to turn the monitor a few degrees would have been nice. The base also has some weight to it and the monitor is light so you don't have to worry about it tipping when you rage quit. It comes with a clip to run the cords down one of the base legs which also helps keep the desk looking uncluttered. It's a perfect size for doing dual monitors and big enough on it's own for game play. I hooked mine up with another 27in monitor to an Alienware Aurora R8 gaming desktop. The Aurora R8 has a NVIDIA RTX 2070 graphics card. I used the DisplayPort connection.
To test this out I played some Blizzard games like Diablo III. Then to look at more of the fast paced gaming I did Destiny 2. Finally I threw a movie on. Out of all of that and hours of continuous use I was pretty satisfied. With the screen being a matte finish and not super bright I didn't have any bad eye strain. The pixels go pretty close to the edge except at the bottom to give you a bevel less feel. Everything moved smoothly with the 240Hz refresh rate. I didn't have any problems with action, map generation, or dark balance during Diablo III. Destiny 2 didn't have any screen tearing or artifacts when moving fast through the world or during intense combat. Everything was very crisp in Destiny 2 and I was impressed with the details. Only being a 1080p monitor there wasn't anything fantastic about the movie. Mostly that it handled dark balance well just like Sony's TVs do. I think it's worth getting this monitor for the refresh rate if you plan on doing any intense gaming.
