The Sony M3 InZone monitor is one I can highly recommend. I’ll give a list of the pros and cons. Pros: Image contrast and brightness are excellent. Overall, the picture quality of the monitor is top notch. There is an abundance of settings to make the picture look exactly like you want it to. It can except USB-C DP as well as DisplayPort and HDMI. This is rare on monitors unless you go to the very high end. The on-screen display with all the settings is controlled by a joystick instead of buttons. I just found this much easier to use, which is a good thing given all the settings there are. The InZone app is great, easy to use, and allows changing most of the settings significantly easier than using the on-screen display. There are multiple display settings to choose from. Cons: I really wanted to use the USB-C DP as the input but was never able to get it to work with my laptop that does have USB-C DP and has worked on previous monitors I have had. I assume there must be some kind of compatibility problem that I could not figure out. I just ended up using DisplayPort instead. When changing the settings using the on-screen display, the settings would sometimes just disappear. There is a setting for the settings for the settings time out, but I changed it to 60 seconds, and it didn’t fix it. I just ended up using the InZone app to change the settings as that is just easier anyway. The stand is wider and deeper than a lot of monitors. Not a big deal. Just make sure you have space for it.

This 27” screen is decently sized and is amazing quality for both PC and console gaming. If you have a PS5 and enjoy console gaming, this screen performs well with a PS5 connected. There is virtually no blur and the graphics are crisp and high quality. I use it primarily for PC gaming and have been enjoying the quality of the display. It is very easy and self-explanatory to set up right outside of the box. It has a stand attached so you don’t have to worry about mounting it anywhere if you want to place it on a table or desk. I really enjoy this monitor for PC gaming in particular, as the tripod style stand is adjustable and able to be tilted for convenience. This makes it easy to place in any room or space and adjust as needed to surroundings and your setup, which is incredibly convenient, especially for those of us who live in smaller or more compact spaces. The colors of the screen are vivid and bright, and the display is just phenomenal. I highly recommend this monitor to any gamer!

Keep in mind this review is entirely based on the monitor being used on a gaming PC so I cannot speak to the benefits of using it on a PS5 (or an XBox). I could see this as an alternative to a TV for a console in a kids' room or something though. That being said, the first thing that jumped out to me was the max resolution. Sitting this monitor next to my (much cheaper) HP Omen (which can be purchased from Best Buy), it's painfully obvious that being limited to 1920x1080 when you're used to 2560x1440 is kind of staggering. Don't get me wrong - it's not 'bad' per se - but it's nowhere near as crisp. The Omen also comes with a headphone holder which at the time I thought was gimmicky but I use it all the time. So why am I still giving it 3/5? I like all of the ports, and built in speakers, and I think most people would love this monitor (again, except for the price). Setup was easy, both physically and in Windows 11, and it really doesn't take up a bunch of actual desk space (my opinion) due to how the monitor stand is built. You will be stuck with a bunch of styrofoam packaging to toss; I guess Sony hasn't gone green yet. The Inzone software, which is not even mentioned in the setup guide, was easy enough to setup and a nice to have for making adjustments while already in a game, but necessary? I guess I don't understand what I couldn't adjust within the game to get the same effect. In regard to gaming I didn't see any issues. I don't even think there's any current games I could throw at this monitor to cause tearing. Marvel's Midnight Suns, Valheim as two examples - no issues in the least. The speakers are serviceable as well, since I'm used to a pretty no frills sound bar anyway when not using headphones.

I ordered this to replace an older gaming monitor for my gaming PC that was recently upgraded. The box that it comes in is unassuming and looks like a basic monitor box. Nothing too bulky or extravagant. However, when you open it you'll see it's not your standard monitor setup. The base is unique in that it has a vertical slide design. The base assembles very easily and the monitor mount just snaps onto the back of the monitor (no screws required) with a quick connect. It has a cable routing clip and is designed to minimize cable exposure. It's not perfect, but it does do a good job of minimizing. The monitor itself is slim design with narrow bezels and the controls are on the back to keep the front clean. It has the standard array of controls on the monitor and lets you choose modes, brightness, etc. that you would expect from a gaming monitor. The menu is easy to access and logical so you don't search through a bunch of menus to get to the settings you want. The vertical slide design allows you to move the monitor higher and lower on the stand to adjust the height without much effort at all, but it doesn't slide out of position on you which is very nice. Now the important details. The picture is beautiful and impressive! It's one of the few monitors I've had that has enough brightness to set it at a happy place that isn't minimum or maximum. The contrast is pretty dead on by default as well. Playing at full frame rate in HDR, I saw no ghosting or noticeable frame drop. The colors are very pure, but it's not OLED/QLED so the blacks aren't quick as striking. However, don't let that deter you as it has one of the crispest, clean lined images I've experienced. I don't know what I had actually pictured in my head, but it surpassed that. The one negative I will give is in the sound. You can tell the speakers are in the back and that they are standard monitor speakers. The sound isn't deep or lush. Granted, you don't expect to use monitor speakers for gaming, but I would still expect them to be good enough to watch clips or tv without constantly fixating on the poor sound. I will say this monitor is a great gaming monitor with the picture quality to make it a great addition to any setup. The stand takes some getting used to, but it's actually very practical and minimizes desk space while optimizing options. Wear your headset or connect to a quality audio system and you will not be disappointed.

This Sony monitor is impressive in build quality and picture quality! The assembly process out of the box was super straightforward and easy going. My excitement to get it hooked up and tested out did not disappoint. The 27" size is big, but nice as it seems a perfect fit for my office/gaming space. The 240 refresh is super nice and more noticeable than I expected it to be versus the old 60hz unit I replaced with it. The setup instructions are straightforward as well and easy to understand so as to get the most out of the monitor as possible. This is obviously based off of what other hardware you are using to power this beast of a screen. The built in speaker is not the greatest, the sound quality is a bit tinny and weak BUT, most people that purchase this monitor are not purchasing it for the built in audio capability. Just have a decent set of speakers added to your setup and you'll be immersed in what this monitor has to offer as far as picture quality! I really enjoy the adjustability of the monitor position, both tilt and up and down movement is part of the package. The adjustable stand that comes with the monitor is super ergonomic, stylish and functional. If you're in the market for a nice gaming/office monitor setup, this is sure to make you happy.

Bought this monitor as a Christmas gift for my son. He really likes it!!! Overall good purchase.
