For Sony this felt like a pretty cheap make for a 900 dollar monitor. Since it is a gaming monitor I’m guessing they expected users to be only wearing headphones? Would have been a 5 if Sony took the time to make a better set of speakers for the monitor. I couldn’t connect a wireless Sony speaker to enjoy better sound.

Don’t stray from an open box!

For some reason the mini LEDs had horrible refresh rates at lower fps and made reaction based games horrible. This one is great. Might not do as well in a bright room. But for console it is great. I will say the port locations are horrendous and tedious. However, that is a minimal frustration for myself. The menu buttons on the monitors without remotes always feel somewhat difficult but this one wa easier than others.

I love my PS5 and wanted this to work this and support Sony. But I also needed this for work, including writing and emails. My Microsoft outlook text looked blueish and sometimes text when surfing had blue tint to it. For gaming and viewing HDR content it was amazing. Very rich colors and dark blacks. Went with a LG 42" and the text is rich and perfect for work. Didnt want such a big screen but many more positives than negatives. OLED is so much superior if you can make it work. And I only had to pay a few hundred more.

Amazing Monitor

First off let me say prior to buying this monitor I was gaming on a LG OLED 65 inch TV on my PS5 with the best possible settings on the TV that worked best with the PlayStation 5. I wanted to move my gaming setup to my room since the TV is always being watched and I was unable to play. I decided to research monitors and this seemed to be the best option from a lot of sites I visited. I went ahead and got it thinking it wasn’t going to be better than gaming on an OLED TV right?…. WRONG! I was absolutely blown away by how sharp and color accurate my game looked that I was playing (God of War Ragnarok)! This monitor auto calibrates everything when its paired with the PS5 as Sony designed it to do so it was just a plug and play easy setup. I’m very impressed and find is funny that it just put my OLED TV to shame. I’m definitely happy and don’t regret making this purchase at all!

This monitor is fine, I was looking for something with great hdr but that’s not really possible under $1000 and this monitor is not an exception. It has a great picture out of hdr but you can get a similar picture with 120 frames on a cheaper monitor. Plenty of cheaper options out there that will give you the same quality this monitor brings.

Great for a PS5

The picture it gives is for everything is just great, whether it is for games or streaming services/movies. To take full advantage of the monitor with the PS5, you will want to get an HDMI 2.1 cable. Setting up the monitor is relatively simple, I didn't even have to read the instructions to set it up on my own. The one small very minor thing it does that is not so great is every time you open or close a game it scans for inputs to reset the picture. If you update the firmware for it, the latest version makes the time it takes for this take less time. You'll need a computer connected to it with HDMI and a USB-C upstream cable to update the firmware with Sony's site.

Coming from a 55in 4k tv to this is just amazing. Still gets me that 120fps at 4k on both my consoles and PC. Image quality on games is amazing.

Pricey but not much monitors with specs like this

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Screen resolution wise its very good and the quality is of good, only downside is that I don’t know why they didn’t include an HDMI cable, so you’ll have to have one already, also the unit itself kind of feels cheap, in a way that you can’t turn the scren side to side, you have to turn the whole unit. If you want to run 4K 144Hz on your PC, you’ll need and RTX 2000 series or newer card because I have a 1660 Super, and it struggles on it, so I’ll need to upgrade my GPU in the future

You do have the option to mount the monitor on a wall and use a VESA compatible wall mount bracket that swivels. Make sure that it supports the 100x100mm hole pattern. For product protection and safety reasons, Sony strongly recommends that the installation of the monitor on a wall be performed by qualified professionals. Do not attempt to install it yourself.
HDMI and display port cables are also readily available through your local Sony dealer and online retailers. Make sure to purchase a High Speed HDMI cable or the latest version of a display port cable for optimum performance.

Great Monitor for the Price

I purchased it on 29 October of this year. Today is 5 December and it’s already broken. Like defective. The screen lights up but you can’t see anything, not even the menu. So for that I’ll give it a 3. The pros… beautiful graphics (when it was working), didn’t experience any lag. The cons… overpriced. speakers suck badly. Sony could have did way better, as it is marketed for the ps5 itself (great graphics, crappy sound). The joystick button in the back is flemsy and literally popped out, I had to push it back in. The fact that the ps5 remote doesn’t support this monitor is weird. And of course because the picture went out literally a month after purchasing it. Will be returning this thing for an actual tv at this point. It’s the same price.

With the INZONE Hub software, you can personalize experiences by customizing a wide range of operations, including a variety of sound and picture settings. To take your sound experience to the next level, you may also consider using our Sony INZONE gaming headsets.
The monitor does not have a built-in IR sensor to work with Sony remotes. However, you can use the INZONE Hub software to switch every setting available on the monitor within the software to seamlessly adjust settings and gaming assist features without having to toggle the physical buttons on the monitor.

I finally came across this one! It’s a very good monitor, the performance of this thing is brilliant. It has a beautiful display, while also having VRR which is a life changer on PS5. Having 120HZ and VRR on in 4k is brilliant. I genuinely love playing warzone and FPS games on this thing because of the FPS Mode! It’s a great monitor with great response time and performance! If you’re a competitive gamer, or you just want the highest quality monitor you can get for PS5, I would absolutely recommend this. It’s the best monitor I’ve had by far. Brilliant stuff.
