This lens rarely comes off of my camera. Takes amazing photos and is great for almost any shot. Provides great bokeh and lets in lots of light so it's great in low light situations. Definitely worth the price.

I bought this lens for my nieces quince two weeks ago. Very pleased with the quality of the photos it took with my Sony a6000. I am no pro but I got some very good quality pictures and received a lot of complaints on the shots a tool!

This lens is on my camera most of the time now. Great 50mm equivalent. Using as a general walk around lens, indoor shots with low lighting, and a little bit of portrait. Bokeh is nice. I have the kit lens and Sony 18-200LE, but the image quality on this is far better. My first prime lens and it got me hooked. Now wanting other primes at different focal lengths.

This lens is exactly what we needed. We looked at various other lenses, including zoom lenses, but this was the best value for our money. High quality, faster than the zooms we looked at. We're extremely happy with our purchase.

The Sony SEL35F18 is a great lens for my A5100. I had the 50 but return it for this lens. In my opinion the 50 was a little to tight for everyday use. The 50 was a little sharper. But not by much. Both are excellent for video and low light. I know its a little pricey. But I'm more than satisfied with the purchase. I'm not a beginner. I do shoot pro photography. I highly recommend this lens.

The Sony 35mm f/1.8 prime lens has quickly become one of my go-to lenses for everyday photography. Its compact size and lightweight design make it perfect for travel and street photography, while the fast f/1.8 aperture delivers beautiful bokeh and performs exceptionally well in low-light situations. The autofocus is fast, quiet, and accurate—ideal for both stills and video. Image quality is consistently sharp across the frame, and the overall build feels premium and durable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to expand their lens collection with a versatile, high-quality prime.

Its hard to beat a prime lens for quality and I love the large aperture. I have used this mainly for portrait shots due to the focal length. On a APS C size camera it makes the focal length a little too long for general shooting. I don't use this one indoors much since everything ends up being too close. The quality is great and it takes amazing pictures.

I wished I had graduated from kit lens to this lens earlier. Man, the picture quality was super, extremely fast lens even under low light condition. It's no wonder that price for this hardly drops at all since its introduction a few years back. Did I mention the absolutely beautiful brokeh?

I'm very happy with this lens. I love the 35mm since I am able to get some3 great shots indoors where I was often limited by my 50mm. The focus is excellent and I have been able to get some very sharp photos when within 6 feet of my subject. My only complaint is that if my subject is farther than 6 ft from me I can't seem to get as sharp a focus. But, for the price, I wouldn't take a star away for that.

Great lens for a6500 35mm is equivalent to a 52mm on a full frame. I personally think it's a great lens. I only had it for a few weeks but its on my camera most of the time. Excellent picture quality and the 1.8 aperture makes for great shots in most lighting

My favorite lens so far. Creamy bokeh at 1.8 and image stability is top tier. What Iove about it the most is that it's lighter than I thought it was. Easy for my gimbal.

I am a newbie when it comes to photography. This lens is fast and true to all the reviews I have read/watched; it is great for street photography and also great in taking pictures in low light conditions. Downside is its price. But if you would really like to bump "up" your photography game, you'd be willing to buy this lens.

I debated between the 50mm and the 35mm for a few days, but opted for the 35mm since it's smaller and would make more sense for portraiture and everyday photography. Quite a hefty price tag, though. Haven't regretted it since I started to use the lense, however.

I use this for a normal field of view on my Sony A6000. Fast autofocus, and nice bokeh, make the lens good for both capturing action shots as well as people shots. Small form factor complements the small size of the camera as well. At a wide open aperture, it’s not as sharp as some other prime lenses wide open, but sharp enough for nice people portraits. Pretty sharp at f/2.8 and smaller

This is definitely a step up from the kit lens. The blurred background effect looks beautiful and the speed is fast. People can't believe I am using a Sony A6000 with the pictures I have taken. Price is high due to the superb value!

I bought Sony alpha 6000 package that came with 16-50mm and 55-210mm lens kit. I bought 35mm f/1.8 prime lens for its versatility and excellent quality in low light. The picture quality is incredible. I'm a novice photographer but feel as semi professional.

This is an amazing lens, especially for the price. I bought this prior to my best friend's wedding and it has quickly become my primary shooting lens. I am someone who prefers prime lenses, and if you are new to the mirrorless world - you need this in your kit. The images are sharp, clear, and stunning. While my camera is not the newest (I have the a6300), I found myself loving my camera more than ever after owning it for 2.5 years now. I use it more frequently and am inspired to take pictures again. If you find yourself in a creative rut, get yourself this high quality prime lens and enjoy yourself. :)

Nice and lightweight, this lens is a perfect companion to the Sony A6xxx series. This approximates a "normal" perspective, and the wide aperture gives a lot of flexibility for depth of field and shooting in low light.
