Great lens, perfect size for my Sony Nex 5N, much better than 18-55 kit lens I have.

Quality Sony Lens with all the advantages of the E mount for NEX and (a5000/6000) sony cameras. OSS and Auto Focus work flawless with this lens/camera. In comparison to the kit kens, (f3.5) the f1.8 allows for more light reaching the sensor thus enabling faster speeds in low light, making it an ideal indoor lens without a flash. It is not a telephoto lens, but a great lens addition to your DSLR as a primary lens.

Very quick focus. Good bokeh. Feels sturdy (except the hood which feels slightly cheap).

This lens is literally what any person is looking for if they are wanting to take portraits or basically any photo with a "blurry background." You will LOVE this lens and honestly, you may not completely understand, but it shoots way better than you probably need.

Must have lens for sony mirroless cameras, I have the Sony A6000 and have purchased multiple lenses for it. I found the 35mm to be the best in capturing clear and close up photos. Sometimes the camera can be fickle in focusing, so its very important to have a good lens like this one!

I just bought a Sony a6300 in December and I wanted a prime lens for night photography and this was perfect (A=1.8). It's quick, and it's one of my most used lens that I use out of my set. Great for all situations and even used it for sports, but mainly for portraits. If you're looking for an overall good lens then this would be a perfect fit.

If you want to get stellar portrait photos, this is what you want to go with if you have the proper Sony camera to go with it. I have the standard lense that came with my Sony a6300 and bought a pretty nice zoom lense, and this prime lense should round out what I need to make my amateur photo and video jobs look more professional

This is a pretty good lens. Image is crisp and adds to the oss if you have the capability. auto focus is a bit loud. If you have an external mic this isn't an issue. just remember what you get with a crop sensor. a 35mm is now a 56mm. no real complaints from me on this. I enjoy this lens and will continue to use it for years to come. Glad I don't listen to the simple minded employees there. I knew what I wanted and got it. Employees always seem to know extremely little about any product in the store. Get this lens if you have an e-mount. you won't regret it.
