That essentially gets 5 stars. As for the actual PS subscription service itself, although not perfect, is still a good deal in general. Particularly if you are able to nab a year when it goes on sale. This service (PS Plus) is required if you want to play most games online ("free to play games are excluded in this requirement). In addition, you do receive 2-3 games to play each month that you can add and play in the future - as long as you renew and maintain your subscription.

Well worth it for so many ongoing PS Plus monthly

Not only essential for online play, but the rotating PS Plus monthly games give you many games to play and add to your ongoing PS Plus library (provided you keep the subscription going).

Annoying that this is necessary

It is nice that we get a "free" game every month but in reality you are renting them since they stop being available when your subscription lapses. It is annoying to have to pay to play online when it is free on the PC

It has opened up a lot of stuff on the games he has and it's like having another game. He loves it.
