Small speakers but great performance!

I found these on a good deal and went for it. And I am super happy to have made the decision. They are awesome, compact and do the job with perfection.

Realistic sound from these babies

I didn't think they would do very much but when I hook them up to my 7.2 surround sound system it was like I was in the movie. Everything sounds so real with the Dolby Atmos

Incredible Sound System Expansion

They fit perfectly on Sony's bookshelf speakers for a compact and inexpensive Atmos setup (you only need four bookshelf speakers and two Atmos speakers, the Sony center speaker is terrible compared to phantom channeling from the two bookshelf front speakers). I use this setup for PC gaming, and for not having these speakers mounted near the ceiling (they're firing upward from the bookshelf speakers), I can hear sounds flying over me, such as biplanes in Battlefield 1.

Good for the sale price

It would be nice if there was more range like what you get with khlipsh, but considering these are on sale and how often it gets used it was a much better value proposition. Like some people have mentioned you can't use really thick gauge wire but you probably aren't for this type of speaker anyway.

Great speakers to complete my home theater

Compact and light. I have them on top of my left rigjt front towers, and can notice a difference for ambient sounds in movies.

They make my home theater system complete. They are versatile and powerful. You can have them as your Atmos channels or surround/rear surround channels. I would recommend to anyone who wants better sound with out breaking the bank. These are also part of a whole series of speakers. So buy all and make you home into a cinema

Sony quality shines through.

Sony quality is evident, and the sound difference will depend on the source material being watched as not all content incorporates Atmos effects. The speakers are easy to set up as long as you have an Atmos capable receiver with dedicated Atmos connections. Overall, a nice upgrade to my existing 5.1 speaker system.

Good Product But....

Not because of any deficiencies of the speakers. They were returned because they were not the best option for my situation. I purchased them to compliment my 7.1.2 Dolby Atmos set-up. The speakers were great however use them, in this scenario, only if you can't run wiring for in ceiling speakers.

I was a little skeptical at first but the height of the ceiling was fine for the set atop speakers and I can really tell the difference. ceiling speakers are better but for this setup they work fine.

Great addition to floor speakers

They sit nice on the floor speakers but you do have to wire these separate and there isn't any cable management, so not a super clean look. Adds a nice depth to the sound, so I think they were worth it for $100, idk if you should pay retail at $200. If you want true atmos, put these up high on the wall or just run full surround. For my room, I don't have room for behind or side and I didn't want to mount them high on the wall. But just sitting on top, they added the depth to the sound but allowed to room to stay clean. Easy cheap addition for a similar home audio setup. I'd get something nicer if you are setting up a theater type room.

A must-add to your theater system!

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my receiver to a Dolby Atmos compatible model (Sony STR-DN1080) and was using my existing speakers (Sony SS-CS3) in a 5.1 setup. It sounded great and I've always been very happy with my setup... but I finally decided to add these on and see what this whole Atmos thing was about. And WOW! What a difference it made. I had no idea that adding these two little speakers (and an extra sub) would make such a difference. I use my XBox One X and an Apple TV 4K for playing the majority of my content. And these things add so much atmosphere when playing Atmos content. The sound is truly more immersive than anything I've experienced with my 5.1 setups over the past 15+ years. This is a huge upgrade for a small price. Highly recommend.
