I am starting a home theater and connected these to my sony receiver. Not so much good sound quality but a promising start for a mini home theater.

- Set the automatic sound field correction of the AV receiver again.
- Check the surround setting on the AV receiver.
- Check that the sound source of the software you want to play is surround sound source.
- Make sure that the AV receiver is Dolby ATMOS compatible.
- To play the Dolby ATMOS effect, you need a compatible player or AV receiver.

You’re telling me all I have to do it put these on top of my tower speakers and they will produce overhead speaker-like sound?! But they do!! It’s very cool to hear helicopters flying overhead!

Don't expect miracles though, results vary depending on your ceiling height and distance from the speakers but if you find a sweet-spot they do add enough to justify the purchase.

Dolby Atmos enabled add ons, flexibility

A little salty when you could easily buy a baffle and a midrange and assemble yourself. They allow for flexible installations ether sitting atop a speaker or wall mounted.

I might have them a little low and too close to ceiling panels to really appreciate the full atmos effect, but they do add a lot of height to the sound stage. Easy to hang.

Awesome Atmos At My Hoouse!!!

Good speaker be prepare to wall or ceiling mount.

However, I couldn't get them to provide any real Atmos functionality without mounting them on the wall - which I didn't want to do. I got these on a half price sale. I wouldn't pay full price for these.

They really need to have at least 1-2 dB increase on your avr to really shine through. There is a scene in The Punisher on Netflix where the ceiling gets shot with a shotgun and man it really replicated that sound. Give them a try.
