I bought this tv for our rec room to replace an older giant tv. The picture on this Sony is incredible. Easy user friendly setup. Great picture.

This TV although value priced has some amazing settings. I bought it today to replace an old 32 LG with about the same footprint. If you go to settings and fine tune the audio and picture it is comparable to my higher priced Samsung tvs. I think it's getting bad reviews because the default settings off the remote suck. Tune it in, you WILL love this TV. picture watching Cubs is spot on, sound is good after calibration...don't use factory setting, read the book...this is a good TV

I was looking for a replacement for my Samsung that after many years was losing pixels. To get the same size screen for under $300 for what I paid $1000 years ago for the same size in Samsung is fantastic. It has audio input for sound bar or speakers, 3 HDMI inputs and since I have a Roku box is everything I could want. Sony had always been a top name so it is still living up to it's quality.

I was really looking forward to the Motionflow technology. I like the look of the "soap opera" effect. Compared to other TV's I've seen with the same motion rate, I was left slightly unimpressed and sometimes I can't even tell that the motion flow is even on. With that said, the picture is AMAZING and 720P images look upscaled. I really like the TV for what it is, but wish motionflow was as good as advertised.

This Sony was a replacement for a TV that went bad with less than one year of use. I placed this one the wall and the visual difference was much better than I had thought it would be between the brands. It is a perfect fit for my guest bedroom. I have two other Sony TVs and don't know why I chose to go with a lesser brand that this one replaced.

Satisfied pretty much with this tv. However, it did not come with a manual so haven't been able to figure out how to adjust the picture. Plus, I don't have cable in the bedroom where the tv is located. Only have some rabbit ears. But they will not work with this tv. I don't know why and the remote doesn't have an option to select either cable or other. So tv is basically useless.

Perfect for my bedroom. Picture quality is great. Speakers arw lacking, sometimes have to crank the volume up to 50+to really hear on certain channels (very annoying) so need a sound bar. Also wish I had 3 hdmi ports

Another great product made by Sony. Very easy set-up. Barely had to look at the Set-Up instructions included.

This is a nice and reasonable priced Sony Bravia tv..it says Bravia on the tv,,on the upper left hand side...the 40 inches is nice and long and big..the picture out the box is not great you have to tweak it to you're liking..I have my tv on wide zoom seems to look the best on wide zoom..the stand was easy to put on..you just screw in some screws on the stand like four screws and your done..all and all it's a nice television-

As seems to be the case with most LED TVs these days, this Sony suffers from a bad case of color shift. Viewing the screen from even a 45 degree angle, a beautiful straight-on view turns into a washed-out, pinkish purplish haze. I have a 15 year old LED TV 720p with a better picture! It's been six years since I've had to buy a TV. I tried a Samsung before this. I've returned both, with the same picture quality problem. And there are limited color adjustment settings on both. Pick a TV that lets you fine tune colors and adjust white balance, and watch out for color shift, even on the 4K models!

I love it. All of the Sony products link up with each other without taking any extra steps to get to see or do what you want. Awesome

I bought this TV when it went on sale. Sony for $229? Excellent! Took it home, plugged it in - it has no smart functionality, which didn't matter for its intended use. The backlight has a lot of degradation in the corners (white is dark gray) and a lot of backlight bleed on the edges - overall, the picture quality is sub-par. I purchased this TV on October 29th, and on November 18th it failed catastrophically. A loud pop was heard, then from then on the TV had no picture, no response, and an audible buzzing could be heard from the speaker. I paid about the same amount for a Roku smart TV. Honestly, it had more features, better quality image, and still works several months later. Sony, I love your high-end products, but I'm just not happy with your budget line-up!

As a Sony Electronics fan I couldn't pass up on this deal! Great product for your basic TV needs.

I was thinking about getting a Samsung until I saw this tv. I hope this tv last long.

i bought the open box Sony Tv for one of my airbnb rentals. However, when we were ready to install it, we found there is no ac power cord included in the package. when we called best buy, the customer service representative says a customer should expect a missing piece from an open box item. The excellent condition they listed on the description only means there is no sacratches. I do not even know the TV is going to function or not without an ac cord! They say it is past 15 days and i could not even return it! Do not buy any open items from best buy as you spend money just for a TV that does not have a scratch. Best Buy does not guarantee it is working or not!

HDMI port stopped working after 2 years. Picture would go black and I would have to turn off TV, then back on to get it to reset. After a week of this, it started to go black every 10 minutes like clockwork. Those consumers thinking of a Sony - the quality isn't what it used to be. Beware of paying a premium for a Sony that will last only 2 years.

I was satisfied with the purchase of this TV until I had to keep resetting the HDMI ports. Neither of them work anymore. I bought this TV on August 27, 2016, and now it doesn't work. My Vizio TV I bought in 2008 is still going strong. We live in a throw away culture now. Nothing is meant to last long. I'm extremely disappointed!
