I was looking for a 1080P LED TV that was a bit larger than one I had in my bedroom already. I looked at quite a few other 40" ones that were a bit too big for the space I was putting it in. I thought I would have to get a smaller screen until I saw this one. It appeared to be the correct dimensions and had the features I wanted. It was easy to set up and had it working in no time. I don't think the picture is any better than my 720P though. This may be because of the cable company rather than the TV itself. While watching a baseball game a few weeks later I noticed one pixel not lighting. It was kind of annoying at that time but I haven't noticed it in a while so maybe I was imagining things. The price was OK.

If you just need an HDTV for any room of your house, without a lot of the bells and whistles or SMART TVs, this TV is for you. The picture quality is fine, easy to hook up, and we have had no issues at all.

I picked this up this TV during the Memorial Day sale. The price was right and the it had all the features I wanted for a second TV. The picture is great, sound is more than adequate, and has enough inputs. Could always use more inputs due to the amount of devices that connect to a TV these days. Overall, I think this is a great buy. Its only been a couple months but I am very happy with this purchase.

This TV was replacing an older 40 inch lcd tv. I couldnt ask for a better quality and price combo. Great color and 120hz refresh rate. Perfect for my son's room.

The Sony flat panel television was on sale and worth the sale price. It is light weight, with a modern look. Certainly provides the viewing experience expected. The television has a great picture.

Bought this tv for my daughters room. It's perfect for her first tv. The picture is great. The tv size is a good fit for a bedroom. The processing can be a little fuzzy on fast moving scenes.

2nd one I've purchased recently. Didn't want a "smart" TV. Returned that... wouldn't work correctly. This suited my need for a smaller TV for a cabinet. Nice picture quality and easy to use.

The 40" size allows it to fit nicely in the corner of my living room. The picture is amazing. Sound quality is very good. Easy set up. Highly recommend.

My friend bought the same size TV in a "no name" brand and I thought his was pretty nice, till I came home with this one. You get what you pay for (and really I only paid like 100 bucks more than my friend). Sony has a better picture, period. And the menus, interface etc are pro. The sound is great. I use this in my bedroom and I was going to get a sound bar but this thing sounds so good I decided to save my money. (see? I got my 100 bucks back cause my friend bought a sound bar). I will definitely consider Sony for my new living room 65-75 incher.

Over the years, we've been well satisfied with the Sony brand. This 40 in TV has a sturdy base, an easily used remote, and reasonable sound. Adjusting the aspect ratio (wide button) so that a circle is a circle not an ellipse isn't possible on low-definition (3:4 aspect ratio) unless you have a black area all around the screen. The engineers should have made this right when wide-zoom is selected. On HD, the colors are vivid, well saturated, and accurate with good skin tone, and the aspect ratio is no problem. For a "name" brand this TV is well worth the money.

If you're looking for a tv with a bunch of bells and whistles that you'll never use because it doesn't support your particular needs, has substandard apps conjured together and labeled a smart tv, this is not the tv for you. This tv is all about picture and sound for a great price. The 1080p picture on this tv is as good as I've ever seen. It's sharp, clear and brilliant right out of the box. The sound is good and clear. It has 2 hdmi ports, 3 would be better. and 1 usb port. For under $300 it's my pick in this category. Highly recommended.

Bought this tv for my uncle. Replace old one easy hookup and great color. We watch game go Texas. Would buy another great deal and great tv.

Excellent TV - brilliant colors, easy setup. Was very easy to sync with my Sony HT-XT2 Home Theater. Very pleased with my purchase.

This is a good quality tv at a very reasonable price. Perfect for the guest room. I have no complaints about the features or performance.

This 40" TV has a great picture, isn't so big that it dominates a smaller room. Smaller size makes it easy to set up and move around.

I bought this tv for my bedroom, and let me tell you, it is awesome, colors are just stunning, and operation is just so easy to learn.

This TV for my bedroom has made me the envy of my friends and family. The picture is AMAZING and it's such a great size for the amount of space in my room...not too big to feel like it's watching me! I had a 32" before and I thought it was fine but I'm so glad I needed something at the mall. I always stop by Best Buy because I never know what I might stumble upon and low and behold, there it was! My new bedroom TV! I couldn't pass it up with the price they had it for. Thank you Best Buy for NEVER disappointing me!

I have been a long time Sony Bravia buyer and when I needed a TV for my office, I started my hunt for a Sony. The TV is great, light weight, and has a thin profile. My only complaint is that it doesn't look as crisp as my Vizio (purchased as a gift from my wife) in the living room. I never noticed the TV was a little softer until I started a movie in my office then continued watching it in the living room. The difference in clarity could be the wifi receptor in the Sony because I have a strong signal in both the rooms. Still very happy with the TV though and you can't beat the price for a Sony Bravia

It's a great TV has a wonderful picture except you can't see it unless you're facing it straight on. It just loses its saturation when you view it from the side
