This set has a beautiful picture. The instructions could be better. If your set has no sound use the tv remote, push options, select speakers, then change it to TV speakers. That should should fix your problem, don't call the Geek Squad they give no advice except they can send someone out for a fee to help you. I read the instructions no help, I called The Geek Squad no help.

I have always considered SONY a top brand in electronics, and this TV has the sharpest picture I've seen. Hooked up easily in travel trailer, and is just large enough to seem like a 60" class. Sound not the greatest, but most TV's nowadays similar. Running through a sound system that makes up for puny speakers on TV.

I bought this 40 inchs Sony TV for my son on his Birthday. This is the number 4th Sony TV that we owned. This is not a smart TV, but it delivered quality pictures and sounds with a very reasonable price. If you don't need a smart TV and 4K, I think this is a better choice. Never go wrong with Sony Products.

Was looking for a TV for my child's room. This TV was on sale for the same price as some others. It isn't a smart TV but I didn't need that. It has a 120hz refresh rate and is 1080p; where the others were 60hz. That was more important to me.

Great tv for the price! Has great picture quality. Speakers aren't the best, but will do the job. I opted for a Insignia mini sounbar that took care of the problem. Perfect tv if you don't need all the bells and whistles a smart tv has. I just used my game system for everything a smart tv would provide.

Volume is low on the TV. Great picture I would recommend to others.

Have always been satisfied with Sony products, and not disappointed with this one. Easy to assemble stand (4 screws) to the set, good picture, sound, and visibility from 40" screen. Was purchased when on sale, so I saved an additional $50. All instructions easy to understand and pictures also helpful.

I bought this TV for my mother-in-law who was moving into an assisted living facility. I mainly bought this one because I'd had Sony's before and they have always been good. This one is hooked up to Direct TV and the picture is great. Plus it was on sale. It's a really good tv and a really good deal.
