We were going to buy the Samsung TV but at the last minute changed to the Sony. The only problem I have with the Sony TV is how to add additional apps. I have yet to be successful, you must go to a website and enter a television ID number and use this to add additional apps. Out of the box, it comes with Amazon and Netflix, I need to find out what other apps are available, and add those. It is not a simple process as there are no instructions on where to find the ID number. Once I find the ID and add more apps, I believe it will be a great addition. It is disappointing that there are only 2 HDMI ports, the placement of them is also a disappointment. There is one on the side and one on the back. The one on the back makes it difficult to hang on a wall without the purchase of a 90 degree HDMI adapter. The sound is good, my biggest complaint with the new thin TVs is that they have very poor sound quality because the speakers are so tiny. The solution that they offer is a wireless sound bar which is all fine and good until you don't have the space for it.

The TV is clear, has good sound, no problems of any sort. Was easy to set up and use. Have only had for one month. So far, so good!

This tv produces a real nice crisp picture. Colors are rich. Blacks could be darker. It does everything I need from and and at a great price.

We needed a smaller TV for our family room. After our purchase, we found the same TV on sale at Walmart at a lower price. Best Buy verified the Walmart price and matched it without any problems. I am very happy with the service I received and am very happy with the Sony TV

At 349$ for a 40" of this quality is well worth it! The only thing not fully satifactional to me was the lack of built in apps. Other than that though the quality is great. Easy to navigate the user menus as usual for Sony. If def buy it again if I needed another 40"!

We are not "tech savvy", so we did a lot of research before going to the store. We were very pleased that the salesman confirmed the information we had acquired without pressure or adding his own preferances. It was refreshing to get an actual sales person who knew their products and was there to help the customer, (a thing of the past apparently). We were happy with our choice and have made Best Buys our "go to" store for electronics. We are aware of our low understanding of tech products, we don't need someone to mock us for it, we just need some help and that's what we got. Unexpectedly it was a good experience!

When selecting a TV based on price be sure to look at the unit at the store, some of the so called discount TVs resolutions are less than 720dpi and promote the TV as 1080p. We just returned a name brand TV because of resolution thinking it was a good buy or the "Best Buy" and selected the Sony due to the clarity of the screen and true HighDef resolution. Very good product for the money.
