great tv for my bedroom. nice picture works as expected

was looking for a good quality smart tv for an affordable price...this tv, although not as comprehensive as the newer sony bravia smart tv is good compared to other tvs on its price range...i should say its a good buy!!!!

Had this tv for about 3 weeks so far. Bought this particular model due to it being placed on a narrow stand, the base for this tv was perfect. It replaced a 32 inch Samsung model. Its located in a bedroom so it isn't used all day long. Out of the box, setup was easy to add to my network. Performed several OTA updates and is working seamlessly with our WIFI. Netflix and Hulu work great. Only complaint is that twice it has frozen with a blue screen and the only way to fix that is to unplug the tv and let it reset. Not something you want to have to do on a regular basis. Hopefully it will not become a problem or can be fixed with another update. Love the picture quality and sound is decent without any external speakers.

I was In dire need of an upgrade for a long while and I finaly pulled the trigger, I couldnt Be happier. The smart features are great, the picture is Incredible And the sound is perfect

Love the quality of the tv. Great price. Tried to buy the larger version as well since I enjoyed this one so much (it was sold out tho unfortunately). Very user friendly and easy to use the functions

Bought based on price and compatibility with existing media cabinet. Very good picture and sound with full array of user adjustments. Built-in apps somewhat limited, but having Netflix was main required feature. Initially had issues with tv staying connected to my wifi (100 Mbps). Solution was to unplug tv so that it would "reset". After a few times, it seems to have "locked in". I also bought "smart" Sony BluRay player, Later I found out it did not have "built-in wifi" and would need an Ethernet connection. But Sony tv has wifi. If you need the feature on your player, read the specs carefully to ensure this feature.

SONY's 40" 1080 HD tv is the right tv for this room and provides excellent color for a very fair price. I've always been a SONY fan, but I also like Samsung and Panasonic - but Panasonic has largely left the market.

I needed an inexpensive TV for one of my bedrooms and found this one at Best Buy. Under $300 and it is a smart TV as well. Couldn't be happier. So much so that I purchased a second for my den.

I wanted to buy a smart tv that was easy to use and opened apps as soon as I turned it on. This tv does have some quirks but overall works exactly as it should. The picture is great and streaming shows is never an issue.

This TV replaced a Vizio in a bedroom and the picture quality is fantastic - better than the Vizio, which was pretty good. The sound is good, too. The set up was quick and easy. I also really appreciate the stand. It's stylish, and centered on the TV which makes it easier to place it on furniture. It also includes slots in the back to hide the cords, a nice touch. Most other TVs I looked at had legs at each end, they looked awful and wouldn't fit on my built in corner shelf (in fact, I paid more for this TV partly because of the stand...and because it was a Sony). This is the third Sony currently in my house and they are all great!

I was able to find the exact screen size that would fit my cabinet dimensions. I am completely satisfied with the quality of the picture display and the ease I experienced in setting the TV up.

I wanted a bigger tv for my bedroom and had a 32" Sony so I bought this 40" to replace it and I love it! The picture is great! The ease of use is wonderful and picture quality is perfect

Sonys are the best in quality and longevity hands down and this one is just another fine example all features are easy to use picture is wonderful and it syncs with my playstations seamlessly.

The Sony 40" LCD Smart TV is one of the best that I've ever had. Clear, crisp picture; plus multiple SMART applications that are easy to use. I like it especially since it fits within a cabinet.

Great picture, easy to set up and use. Best part is the remote a full blown remote not like Samsung where there are only 4 buttons and you have to figure out what they all do and how

This is a great TV and perfect fit for my daughter's new apartment. After reading online reviews, we looked at the Sony comparing it to another major competitor that was $100 less. While both pictures were extremely good, we all felt that the Sony's was slightly better and the motion blur during the High Def. demo was barely noticeable on the Sony, but readily apparent on the [other] brand. Colors were natural and not overblown. Glad we went for it, setup took < 1/2 hour and the picture is even better in the home environment. No issues to report so far. Highly recommended when you are looking for a 40 inch class TV!!

When I went shopping for this midsize TV to play video games on mostl. Id gone looking for the best deal in dollars but the Sony of this size made alll the others look broken do I spent the extra instead.

Beautiful picture. The sharpness and color accuracy stood out against the rest. Sound quality is decent. Imho none of the tv's have great sound but this does the job. The Smart features aren't great but you can hook up an Apple tv, roku... to have a better smart experience. If you're just looking for a great picture this is the one.

The Sony has the best picture I have seen. I did many hours of research before making my final decision. The color is vibrant and the picture is so clear. Highly recommend this product!

Easy to run and operate, it has a great picture. Only thing I have noticed is every couple of weeks I need to unplug the TV for a min as it seems to need a reset if you stream a lot of Netflix/Hulu.
