At retirement age, I was very reluctant to go digital. I considered smart TVs as too complicated to set up and use, with poor sound quality and too expensive. Finally gave in. This TV was SO easy to connect to all my devices, Netflix, Amazon and internet! The sales professionals at Best Buy were outstandingly available to answer questions and explain technological jargon long after my purchase. Now that I've used it for several weeks, I am so delighted. Not only is the picture outstanding, but the sound quality is MUCH better than anticipated, and it is very simple to operate. Thank you, SONY, for producing such quality at such an affordable price.

This TV is easy to use, great picture quality, and if you love to watch Netflix then this is the TV for you. On the remote there's a Netflix button that takes you directly to Netflix!!!

I have owned many Sony Tv sets they are the best. I think they are on price point and work flawless for many years. The picture quality is very sharp and the color is also great.

I was looking for a Smart Television for the bedroom with good reviews, a good price and a decent screen size. The Sony I bought was exactly what I was looking for. Great purchase!

This tv turned out to have a better picture than I had expected. The tv was also lighter and thinner. Great tv for use as a marketing merchandiser for a business.

Excellent TV, easy to set up, perfect size, great color, great picture, many apps. Best Buy sales people were very helpful in making the decision without steering me to any particular model.

Sony Bravia has a great picture BUT I had a GOOD but basic model from 2yrs prior that had many more capabilities (APPS). It not only had many APPS pre-loaded BUT you were able to download others easily. This unit had only a handful of APPS and something called OPERA that had weird/low end app offerings (Russian TV, Philippine TV, just kind of obscure stuff and NO WAY TO DOWNLOAD ANYTHING! Had to return to get something more comparable...yes, know FIRESTICK is available but disappointed that it isnt preloaded!

My wife and I just moved into a new apartment. We wanted a starter TV. When we went to BB, we initially went to buy a Samsung TV. The Samsung we wanted was on display, but below it was this beauty of a beast. Despite being on 1080p, the picture, viewing angles and colors were amazing. The TV also has a great way of showing depth. We walked out of BB with this TV instead! Only problem is that we went over our budget, especially considering that this is only a 1080p TV. But I am happy with my purchase.

This television is the best TV I have ever bought. Picture very clear and bright. Color is very good also. I like it real well. I would recommend this TV to my friends

Doesn't stream well, lots of lag, cheap junk remote, no Internet browser, no weather app, no app store access, no 5Ghz band. Great and vivid picture with almost no motion blur due to refresh rate. Purely an Economical buy.

We made the decision to purchase a smart TV because our 10 year old LG had served us well, but was starting to signs of age. The first thing that I like is that it was much lighter; make it easier to put in place in our entertainment center. The picture is better quality, and of course using less devices is sweet. The one down side is reception from our "over the air antenna." It can not pull in the weaker stations like our old LG. The way we watch TV is to either watch over the air (mostly local news, PBS, etc.) and to stream. We skipped the whole cable/satellite/etc. era, because I refuse to pay money to watch more commercials. BTBD

So far so good. I love the TV. The Picture is great and the smart tv is very responsive. No long periods of waiting for things to connect. However, I expect nothing less from Sony.

Can be watched from any angle without having picture darkening/fade. Colors are crisp and music channels sound great. Just what we were looking for.

This is a very good TV. It has a good crisp picture and there is no lag. It was easy to set up. I got it for my daughter and she loves it. I would recommend.

Good buy for a smart tv. Only draw back was the small amount of apps available. Amazon did not come on the set therefore I was forced to purchase a fire stick. Prior to my purchase all the sales help assured me that Amazon was inc or I could just download a free app. Not so much since when I called Amazon I was told at 40" the ONLY TV that came with Amazon was a ROKU TV.

Purchased to upgrade my 32 in. Sony in the bedroom; mounted on wall; only criticism is that Sony moved the VESA mounts lower on the unit; had to make sure it would still fit below the ceiling since I didn't want to get into repositioning my wall mount and fixing holes and paint; also my older solid plate VESA bracket covers one of the HDMI ports and there are only 2; not a big deal for me since I only need 1 but Sony should go back to a centered VESA mounting location; Excellent picture quality and sound.

I was looking for a 40" TV for a spare room, and just wasn't convinced that some budget-priced 4k option was worth it for a TV that small. So I decided to take the same I would have spent on that, and find the best 1080p TV I could for the same amount. I found that in this Sony Bravia, and it's great. The color is spectacular, the blacks are pretty deep, and it looks great from every angle. My only complaint is that, for the price, I really wish they'd have added one more HDMI port. Two is workable, but three would have been a lot better.

This TV has surpassed my expectations from the start. The resolution looks great, the TV size is perfect for my bedroom and I enjoy the Smart TV aspects!
