I would suggest to anyone looking to get a budget tv to hold out just a little bit and get this tv for about 100 bucks more. Best Buy has all of these on display and what made me choose this one was when large text was on the screen, the budget tvs (and some of the more expensive ones) showed pixelation at the edges. This Bravia did not. Instead everything was smooth and crisp. But the best thing? My favorite feature of this tv? The big white "Netflix" button on the remote. Sony knows their audience.

Bought this to replace a lesser brand tv that went out - great picture right out of the box and very easy to set up!

The picture quality is great and the TV is easy to navigate. I have always been pleased with any Sony product we've purchased.

The pictures is clear and crisp. The sound is great. Easy setup and works well with my smart phone when showing pictures.

I bought Samsung which was 70$ lesser but i had to retun this because this picture quality sucked. I exchanged this to this Sony, i felt the sudden change in picture quality in terms of high contrast and pronounced blacklevels. Other thing is panel is very sturdy compared to the competition. I have had other TV where panels will crack even for small subtances thrown at it (Kids do it), but sony is by far best in panel strength as well. Bottom line dont mind paying extra buck for sony

Great size TV for the bedroom. Good sound quality and picture. Easy to switch from recorded TV and DVD player.

We usually stick with Samsung for TVs but this one obviously had better picture quality when we compared the two display models on the wall. We are really pleased we bought this one instead of the Samsung we were looking at. Worth every penny!

Bought for my sons room. I've owned many Sony tvs over the years. They never disappoint. Great picture. Easy to use.

CLEAR PICTURE, GOOD COLOR, SHARP.....ONLY 2 ports, so was a little difficult hooking up dvd player. Had to buy a 2nd cord.

First I purchased a 4K TV, but I returned it and got this one because I wasn't pleased with the color when viewing it from an angle. This one really looks better at all angles than the more expensive 4K set. It has a great, natural, balanced picture and good sound. It does have a power brick, but not a big deal from me.

We wanted an HDTV which would fit the expensive armoire in our living room and work with our existing DVR/VCR, receiver, CD player, turntable, tape deck and surround-sound system. The 40" Sony Bravia Smart TV is just the right size for our living room, looks almost as good as 4k models, and works perfectly with all our gear. We're very pleased with this choice, plus it was an incredible bargain! An added bonus is Sony's exemplary reliability scores in the leading U.S. consumer publication.

The picture quality is excellent on this t.v..I find the Android system is very easy to use. And it is Direct TV ready.

This is a great HDTV...1080p not 4K, but for this price it's such a value! Super lightweight and easy to set up too!

We have owned a Sony tv for nearly 3 decades. Our little Trinitron is still in use and is very reliable. Other brands might have better advertising but not necessarily better quality than Sony.

This t v has a great picture and was easy to set up, only wish it had better sound, maybe after a few adjustments
