I am a devoted SONY customer and have found in the past their products are reliable, dependable and of good quality even if the price is sometimes a bit high. This TV had the right dimensions to allow us to use a 40" screen size in our cabinet. Other brands wouldn't fit. In addition, the TV has excellent color, clear images and is easy to use. Sound is a bit thin so we purchased a sound bar which improved this issue. We did have an initial problem between the remote and TV. The remote would fail to power up the TV. This did not happen consistently. It would happen randomly. We called SONY and they provided a remedy that corrected this issue; so, all is good now. I needed to do a power-start (unplug the TV, press the "on" switch on the TV and hold it for 20 seconds, plug it back in, then use the remote to turn it on). I found the customer service with SONY to be very supportive and professional. I would have given the TV a "5" but only gave it a "4" because of this power-up issue and the sound quality.

This HD smart TV is phenomenal. Color and clarity is amazing. Easy to use apps.Unlike many tv's this is not made in China. I am so happy with this Sony, I would recommend it to everybody

The light weight of this TV makes it very easy to handle. Picture quality is excellent and I find the sound quality to very acceptable. .It also took up less room than an older Sony LCD that had the same screen size but had a much larger width (& depth) frame around the picture. It's pretty much all picture. It does not have a bunch of ports but I have I have successfully attached two DVD's and a fire stick. Bottom line, It's a nice buy.

I bought this tv for my mom after her old Insignia died. I was looking for something where she could stream Netflix and would be easy to get set up and put together. This fit the bill -it's a little bigger than her old tv but is really light weight. The picture quality is awesome and it was super easy to set up and get connected to the cable. I would definitely recommend, she's been really happy with it!

Great TV. Gave 4 stars because the HDMI 1 port is in the way when you mount the TV with a bracket. I solved this problem by getting a 90 degree HDMI cable. This was a terrible design by Sony. Other than that, great for console gaming. And this is my first Sunday watching football games on it. The picture is very clear, crisp, colors are bright. It is advertised as 240hz Motion Flow. I believe the native is 120hz. so far watched some movies and the rate looks good. Would recommend this television. But if youre going to mount this on the wall. Look for a 90 degree HDMI cable.

Bought for my 86 year-old mother-in-law: a breeze to set up (uses rooftop antenna), great picture even without cable signal. Easy to use

Great quality picture and needed to fit a very specific space on a built in bookshelf. Very pleased and enjoy watching movies sports or general tv on it

Great TV for the price. Lightweight, 2 HDMI inputs. I wish sound quality would increase with Sony, bought a sound bar to supplement the lack of sound.

You always get a fine product from Sony, but this one was a great price as well. Love the picture. It was super easy to set up too.

Been buying Sony TV since the days of Trinitron and have never been disappointed. Unless you are some kind of video nutcase, there are plenty of adjustable parameters available to tune the picture to your liking but right out of the box is pretty good. Every HDTV maker spends most of their R&D budget trying to make a cheaper set so you pretty much get what you pay for. That's why I pay for Sony. Two minor disappointments-the TV tends to choke on large media files when reading terabyte hard drives, and it will not connect directly with Mac networks.

I got this TV as a replacement for a Samsung that quit working and was only 5 years old. I brought it to Best Buy and had the service plan on it and they said it would be too much to fix it so they said they would swap it out for a brand new model. We found one that had the same features as the Samsung in this Sony TV. Hooked it up went right to the internet and everything is great so far have had it about a month picture quality is fantastic. sound is so so. Overall a very nice TV

Easy setup and menu for smart TV. Good picture. Light weight. Only 4 stars though as didn't sync with Brand New Sony Wireless headphones the way it should. Called customer support. Headphones worked great with my LG TV but not with this new Sony TV. So using the Sony in the new office and keeping the LG in the bedroom for the wireless headphones.

Quality TV with a great picture, it was a quick and easy setup

I wanted a new TV, but didn't necessarily need one. Unfortunately, the sales associate was not interested in selling an opening price point TV, and not helpful. But I'm satisfied w/ my impulse purchase. This Sony 40" TV has great color/picture. I'm not tech savvy and Sony is easy to setup, use/program & light in weight.

We purchased this Sony TV for our bedroom and it is a perfect size for us. It was easy to set up and we get 60+ stations with our window antenna. The wifi connection was very straight forward and now we can stream Amazon and YouTube. It is sleek and contemporary and looks great in our bedroom.

Can’t go wrong with Sony, great quality and very light. Very happy with purchase for the price.
