I got this TV as a replacement for a Samsung that quit working and was only 5 years old. I brought it to Best Buy and had the service plan on it and they said it would be too much to fix it so they said they would swap it out for a brand new model. We found one that had the same features as the Samsung in this Sony TV. Hooked it up went right to the internet and everything is great so far have had it about a month picture quality is fantastic. sound is so so. Overall a very nice TV

So far so good. Great picture. Easy to set up. The manufacturer's information was not so clear. But that is expected with electronics.

We wanted an HDTV which would fit the expensive armoire in our living room and work with our existing DVR/VCR, receiver, CD player, turntable, tape deck and surround-sound system. The 40" Sony Bravia Smart TV is just the right size for our living room, looks almost as good as 4k models, and works perfectly with all our gear. We're very pleased with this choice, plus it was an incredible bargain! An added bonus is Sony's exemplary reliability scores in the leading U.S. consumer publication.

Fits in any size bedroom or living room, we enjoy it both as a tv and PC monitor. And also the price was formidable.

This is the perfect size tv for my daughters bedroom and has all the apps she needs already on it. Great picture also.

I am a devoted SONY customer and have found in the past their products are reliable, dependable and of good quality even if the price is sometimes a bit high. This TV had the right dimensions to allow us to use a 40" screen size in our cabinet. Other brands wouldn't fit. In addition, the TV has excellent color, clear images and is easy to use. Sound is a bit thin so we purchased a sound bar which improved this issue. We did have an initial problem between the remote and TV. The remote would fail to power up the TV. This did not happen consistently. It would happen randomly. We called SONY and they provided a remedy that corrected this issue; so, all is good now. I needed to do a power-start (unplug the TV, press the "on" switch on the TV and hold it for 20 seconds, plug it back in, then use the remote to turn it on). I found the customer service with SONY to be very supportive and professional. I would have given the TV a "5" but only gave it a "4" because of this power-up issue and the sound quality.

Love this TV! Perfect for bedroom. Easy setup with very few adjustments. Sound is better than expected.

First I purchased a 4K TV, but I returned it and got this one because I wasn't pleased with the color when viewing it from an angle. This one really looks better at all angles than the more expensive 4K set. It has a great, natural, balanced picture and good sound. It does have a power brick, but not a big deal from me.

I love Sony's screen - it looks the most true to life to me. Everything about it is great, except that it doesn't stream HBO or SHOWTIME, so had to get a ROKU to enable those channels. Do your homework first! The sales rep insisted that I'd be able to get these two channels through the DVD player that I bought with the TV. Not true. However, upon calling Best Buy, they graciously sent me a ROKU stick at no charge to make up for the error. It means an extra remote, but that's ok.

This is my first Sony TV and it's great !! Great picture, great sound. They call it a "Smart TV" and it certainly is !!

This TV is wonderful, it starts fast, has a great picture, especially once you turn the brightness down. The speakers are actually not bad for a TV, I'm pleasantly surprised. My only issue is with wall mounting. Once the bracket has been installed on the TV, one of the hdmi slots is blocked, making it next to impossible to plug in a cable. It's possible it's just the bracket I used that blocks the hdmi slot, so double check first if that's gonna be an issue for you.

I had to return the first one because the headphone jack stopped working a couple of hours after the tv was set up, but I decided to give another one a try. The second one has mostly worked fine so far. I think for the price it is going to be a good television. Set up was very simple. I mainly gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the problem with the first television and also because a couple of times I've had to move the plug back and forth between outlets to get the television to come on.
