||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have not had time to call Sony but there is something wrong with the picture on this TV. The shadows and transition areas of the picture, especially in darker shows like Gothic, are badly pixelated. Bright shows and cartoons in HD look great but darker moody shows and movies on blue ray look terrible in the shadow areas. I have a 8 yr old Sony lcd flat panel that has a much better picture than this new TV.

No google play store

Turns out it doesn't! Even though I was mis-informed by the salesperson at the store, I like it and it fits my needs!

DON'T BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Poor lighting as all four corners on this TV has a shadow. Otherwise SONY still makes the best products as I own several other SONY 4K TVs, but this isn't 4K. Just don't buy this specific model.

connection issues
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.When you try to turn on one of the apps, Hulu, Netflix, etc, sometimes it doesn't connect until you attempt to connect to your network. Sometimes it's automatic, sometimes it's not.

Not a great TV

Left over SONY

I can not recommend this TV

Sony customer support told me to unplug it for a few seconds and plug it back in. That helped for a while but eventually that wouldn't work either. They made me jump through several burning hoops to get them to honor the warranty even telling me that the scan of the receipt wasn't valid proof of purchase. I asked them if I would need involve my attorney and they finally agreed to honor the warranty. The replacement has the same problem but less frequently and for now it responds to unplugging it for a few seconds. My experience with Sony over this is likely to change me from a solid Sony customer to one who will not buy their products again. This is the second worst customer experience I have ever had (and I'm not a young person anymore). Best Buy was not part of the problem at all and when I mentioned the issue to someone at a store they called the manager over who explained that I could have dealt with them instead of Sony. If I have a problem in the future with something purchased there I might just talk to Best Buy first. I seriously doubt that the big screen TV I plan to purchase in the next month or two will be a Sony. I just can't believe how Sony treated me when something they manufactured was defective.

Ended up returning
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this to replace a Sony Bravia that we loved but after 8 years the screen went green..... this tv is supposed to be the updated model but the picture was not as good and the speakers sounded horrible. This is a tv we use in our bedroom and I know I could have bought a sound bar for it but I decided to return it and bought a Samsung that I love .... picture and sound are far superior and it was over $100 less :)

I bought it only because it was the only TV with a narrow enough stand to fit on my small TV stand. The picture quality is good. The sound quality is very poor. You'll need to purchase a sound bar or display the on-screen closed captions (subtitles) in order to understand the spoken word.

Unmountable

I went with Sony because they include a headphone jack which Samsung does not. Problem is if you want to mount the TV to the wall. Wall mount rail totally blocks 1 of the 2 HDMI ports & the Digital Optical Audio Output rendering them useless. Don't know how Sony could have made this error...UPDATE: I returned TV & will buy Hisense 43H7C LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD & mount to wall
