I believe you get what you pay for generally. This is not very pricy and it is not the cheapest available. It does its job well and everything looks really good on it. 40 inches is kind of a sweet spot before 4K really becomes necessary for a good looking picture quality. The frame rate is about as good as any TV available which is important to consider. It has a good stand and a Netflix button on the remote which is convenient. It is a perfect TV if you can't afford a high end 4K.

This 40 in TV with built-in wi-fi was the ideal product for a small room I have. Even if without 4K, it provides a very good quality image and great wi-fi reception to reproduce Netflix and Hulu. I have purchased Sony flat TV’s and DVD’s for 11 years and never had any issues, so I highly recommend this brand.

I did lots of research and we ended up buying two of these!! Best picture for the money and super easy to operate right out of the box. Sold out every where else. The one in our town was twice the price and it was a display model

I got this TV since my old one was not a smart TV. It was very easy to set up and now I can watch Netflick. The TV is the same brand that I had before and I have always liked the clear picture and ease of using.

I got the 55 " as well I like it so got the 40" for my bedroom

Sony never disappoints me in picture quality and ease of setup and use. The speakers are not the greatest, but it does get loud enough for our use, besides we have a surround sound theater setup added to this TV. Will buy SONY again!

On the upside, we enjoy the picture clarity, audio is good. On the downside, the remote is slow and cumbersome, but we're getting accustomed to it. Overall, though, we're very pleased with the TV.

Bought this tv for my bed room replacing my old 32". Sony has a great picture which I love. The only down side is when using Netflix it won't load and has a hard time streaming and it has also frozen after using my PS4 a few times. Beside that it's a great TV.

WOULD DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TV. LIKE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT.

If you are looking for a well priced 1080p HDTV at 40 inches then this might be a smart choice. It delivers a high quality picture while giving you a very functional smarTV that will deliver a full menu of web options from Netflix et al. Worth the price.

Great LED tv made by sony. The color is not overly bright that gives the picture a fake feel. You can distinguish the clouds in the sky if you were watching the sky so there's contrast. The tv is not a super high def but does what it says and it's easy to use.

The TV is an excellent lower price product. Glad to have it.

Love my new TV. I wanted a SMART TV with an excellent picture

I first bought this television for my living room and loved it. I bought a 32" for my bedroom and found it too small, but I WAS willing to live with it. When I saw this television was still available, I had no other choice but to upgrade my television from my bedroom to the guestroom and put this new one in the bedroom and I AM SO HAPPY I DID!

When I came to Best Buy I was looking for a TV / Monitor to replace my Samsung. I was leaning towards another Samsung but as I did comparisons side by side and talking to a Sales Associate, a comparable 40 inch Sony won ! The Samsung and Sony had the same video running. The Sony picture was crisper and sharper than the Samsung. Thanks !!
